i hope your tour was a huge success. looking forward to your next project!

  2. Yayyyy!!!! I’ll be there!!! I’ll be the one handing you a pic of my dog being cute, and weird, to sign!!

  3. Welcome to the west coast! Just wish you were in central California. Thoughts and love sent your way.

  4. Jenny it was so good to see you in NYC! You ROCKED IT!! You have no idea how I needed you that day and you made us laugh and cry –

    XOXOXO – Stacy

  5. YAY! I hope it is deliciously sunny and warm for your visit. Don’t forget to make a detour to the La Brea Tar Pits! Tons of taxidermy and dead things. It’s like it was a temple built for you.

Good luck at your book signing! I will meet you in person one day

  6. Jenny! Please make sure you take time to see the seals on the beach in LaJolla! You will love it.

  7. Are there still snazzy bags left?!? I received my signed copy from Austin! Love it! But don’t remember the directions for how to get a snazzy tote!

  8. I live 3 blocks from warwick’s but they told me weeks ago there were almost no reserved seats left and that to get one I had to buy a book. But I already had all of them. 🙁

  9. So glad you are here! Looking forward to meeting you tonight. Thank you for venturing so far from home. I appreciate you!

  10. Is there going to be a picture of seals? Maybe of you and Hailey sneaking up on seals? I look forward to the excited twitter reports from thebloggesstribe after tonight’s signing. I hope it goes well and you have a good trip home. (I’m pretty sure they don’t let you take baby seals on airplanes.)

  11. Oh no, I’m going to miss it; I’ll be in class!! 🙁 Happy first day of Spring! Enjoy LaJolla, it’s beautiful. We’re having gorgeous weather but the pollen count is crazy high. Might I suggest The Shorehouse Kitchen in LaJolla Shores (I highly recommend the cinnamon roll) or Snooze in Del Mar for breakfast? 🙂 Congratulations on your new book and safe travels!

  12. I bought You Are Here with a thought to getting one for my best friend for her birthday (me first though!). She’s diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and bipolar. She’s crafty. I thought a book that helps calm and focus, whilst being supportive and funny was just what everyone needs.

In the meantime between ordering and receiving my copy, she passed away. She suffered a coronary thrombosis and a massive heart attack. She was 37.

It’s like the background hum of my day to day has been switched off.

Now I’m in need of the book and the irony is sharp and toothy. Thank you for the book.

  13. I’m so excited and yet nervous to be in the same room with you tonight. But bookstores are my happy place and Warwick’s is wonderful.

  14. You know how they pass out lollipops to patients.. I work at a therapy office, and I’m passing out pages of your book to patients!!!
    Thrushiebaby

  15. P.S. Puesto is close to Warwick’s and they have good Margaritas. Oh, they have good tacos, too, but I have my priorities.

  16. Omg I can’t wait I’ll see you tonight. I’m soooooo freakin excited 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

  17. Looking forward to seeing you tonight, and thanks for giving me a reason to get to Warwick’s! I’ve been hoping that you had a chance to stop at home between New York and here.

I like The Cottage for breakfast, and it’s right in La Jolla (where you’re probably not staying). Well, anyway…

  18. I was all set to drive down to see you, but I’m completely out of spoons today. Damn fibromyalgia! 🙁 I’m pretty devastated because I was sooo looking forward to seeing you again. Hope you got to spend some time with Lisa this weekend!

  19. I’m super excited to come tonight but only just saw that you were supposed to reserve a seat… guess I’ll be getting there early in the hopes of nabbing a spot!

  20. You’re in the homestretch! Woo Hoo!

I haven’t dug into hubby’s crayons or colored pencils yet, because I’m afraid of messing up my beautiful copy of You Are Here! … one day, soonish, I hope to be brave enough to color something…

  21. @SheDoneAlreadyDoneHadHerses – Oh, NO! What a wonderful plan you had, only to be ruined by a coronary thrombosis! Light, life, and love to you… are you a member of #TheBloggessTribe on Twitter? You Are Here will DEFINITELY help you through this heartache time, but now might also be a good time to join us over in the Tweetsphere. We’re a very loving and supportive gang. Plus, we’re ready to fill your shanking needs, should they arise.

I’ve said too much… come over to the dark side. We have cheese. and no pants.

I’m Showbiz_emelle ovah theah if you’re looking for me… and you can always search the appropriate hashtags, too.

  22. I’m so happy for you that you visited so many of our tribe. Now you’re almost home. Thank you for being open, brave and funny, and for inviting us into your pillow fort. I love the book. Actually all your books. But right now I’m still coloring my front door picture. I didn’t know gel pens could be so much fun.

  23. This is bullshit! You were in Raleigh and I JUST found out!!!! I can’t believe this! 😩😫😭😢

  24. Wish I was there! I used to live in the San Diego area, but sadly, no more! Congrats on a successful book tour! Someday I hope to make it to a signing in person. 🙂

  25. Thank you Jenny for one amazing evening! It was an honor to get to ask you my questions and a joy to hear you speak about your struggles. You make me feel like I’m not alone in my anxiety and depression. You were as adorable and funny as I had hoped you’d be and I thank you for coming to San Diego. This was my first author reading and it was the best! I can’t wait to pick up my signed copy! Finally, my dog who was in the blanket loved you too!!!
    Thank you Jenny!!!!
    😘😘😘😘😘😘

  26. Fyi… Swimming with otters. You have to book it via their website and they give priority to Make A Wish children. Basically, it was 300 bucks and then they got famous all over the internet and they up’d it to 1k for ONE person to have the swim experience. Not that swimming with OTTERS isnt worth 1k, but my access to such funds is not so regular. PLUS, you have to book this like a year in advance.

  28. Congratulations on conquering another book tour! You are so brave for facing your fears.

  29. Wish you would have made it to San Jose, CA! I would have been there in a heartbeat. Well, I got my copy of the book a couple of weeks ago, So I’m happy.

  30. Unfortunately, Miss Jenny, I have not been with you for this whole tour. I am ashamed to admit I have been mostly encamped in my living room pillow fort with some Cheetos and beer. OK, mostly beer.
I have been a coward, Jenny and have not attended even one of your fetes because I am a lazy sloth averse to travels. However, (you knew this was coming, didn’t you? Yes you did.) were you to come to the wonderful paradise of Kansas City (!), I would BE THERE in full form and bring you beer (and Cheetos) in the bargain. There would be many like me there too, but you really shouldn’t let that dissuade you. It’s possible that we would pick you up and carry you around the parking lot on our shoulders. Just TRY to get that great PR in some other, lesser, city.

  31. Will you do another round and make it to Seattle? Pretty, pretty please?

The arrival of this book was very well timed. I was in an awful bout of depression and I’m using the book (I’m a color-er) as a mental wellbeing activity by choosing pages that fit my mood when I’m sad or upset. So far I’ve only recorded the date I was coloring, but I am thinking about also taking notes on my mood before and after (provided that I can overcome my anxiety/perfectionism that always tells me my handwriting is ugly).

  32. I don’t know if you’ll ever read this comment, but THANK YOU for your La Jolla stop. I was there and I was completely over the moon. I almost begged out of the signing because of anxiety, but I’m so glad I stuck it out because getting to talk to you was the highlight of my trip (I came down from Arizona!).

  33. So happy for you! Sad I couldn’t be in a state that you toured. Hope you are happily recouperating. Can I just ad (pun intended) that Amazon has been keeping up with its insistent ideas about what we all need while you’ve been galavanting around the country. It recommended a blow up (larger than the bikini clad woman sitting on it) golden swan – because I wanted to buy a cold brew coffee pot. Of course I thought of you! Safe travels home.

  34. Good luck, you can do this! I received my copy (through Booksgiving) yesterday and it’s beyond beautiful!

  35. Holy Kamoly-you must be exhausted! Relax now. Victor, Hailey, Hunter S Thomcat, Ferris Mewler, and Dorothy Barker will all help. And a wine slushie. (I love my copy of You Are Here. Going to buy more copies and give one to my best friend and one to the Pshrink.)

  36. My co[py arrived today! Keeping it sealed until I’ve done my chores as motivation BUT IT IS HERE!

  37. hug the dog, the cats, victor, and yourself. Now is time for you, and I hope you don’t crash too hard. Be well, Jenny. Deep breaths.

  38. AHHH!!! I can’t believe it’s over! It’s been so fun going on this adventure with you, thank you so much for sharing! Safe travels home!!

  39. Got your book and am enjoying it very much. Hope you enjoyed la Jolla. Love that town and beach. I’m in northern California and it’s fucking raining. Again. So I really need your book. Also I think you are very brave taking all of those plane trips. I used to love flying but now it’s just something to survive and get somewhere. Congratulations on another bestseller. Love you!

  40. So I hit a button and my comment posted before I finished it. Because I’m swift like that.
Anyways… come to State College, PA. Yes it’s in the middle of nowhere, but it’s a fun middle of nowhere! We’ve got a Barnes and Noble AND a small indie bookstore/cafe. WOHOO! How could you not? You’re amazing.
