UPDATED: You’ve all heard me talking about my friend Anissa before. She’s amazing and she was once generous to me when she didn’t have to be so now I’m trying to do the same. She’s one of us and is recovering from multiple strokes and after many months is finally coming home (yay!) but she’s currently hemiplegic and her copay for outpatient therapy is $100 a day for the next 40 days. She’s a mom with small children and they need help. That’s why I’m asking you to donate if you can. $10 is ideal but even $5 will help. And here’s what I’m giving back. Comment of the day: I have been pulling for Anissa since her stroke though I don’t know her at all except through some of my Twitter and blog friends. My father-in-law had a stroke recently. A stroke is so devastating for the stroke victim and the family. When my family gets discouraged, I tell them how Anissa’s doing and how it takes TIME. I’m so happy for Anissa and her family that she’s getting to go home. I don’t want you to pimp my blog, I want you to pimp the Race Against Violence here in Houston on March 6.
