The Eighth Annual James Garfield Miracle.

Hey.  You.

Are you struggling to buy a toy for your child this year holidays?  Are you wanting to help others?  Do you like ecstatic taxidermied heads in santa hats?  If any of these apply then you are in the right place, because today marks the eighth (EIGHTH!?) annual James Garfield Miracle.

The backstory: I bought a very jolly but kinda f-ed up boar head (named James Garfield)  and Victor thought I was crazy so I sold some homemade Xmas cards to make up the $90 I paid for him but I made so much I decided to give the money back to parents struggling to buy a toy for their kid.

James Garfield and I love you.
James Garfield and I love you.

It went quickly but as soon as I ran out of cash a ton of other people stepped up and asked if they could send toys to strangers and it grew into a weird but lovely tradition.

Each year I think will be the last year but each year people who were helped in the past ask if we’ll do it again so they can give back.  For those who like something easier you can give to Project Night Night, a brilliant organization that provides a book, stuffed animal and security blanket to kids living in shelters, and also to Heifer because it’s nice to be able to donate the ass end of a water buffalo on the behalf of relatives that you don’t really like.  As always, there are no sponsors, no rules and no one gets anything out of it except the happiness of helping total strangers.

TRUTH.
TRUTH.

So here’s how it works:  If you are struggling this year and you don’t know how you are going to buy a toy for your child (or children) then follow these instructions:

Make a wishlist on Amazon and leave a comment below (with the age of your child, a link to your wishlist and anything else you want to share).  There are a few rules that you must follow.

1.  You are not allowed to feel bad about asking for help, because all of us have struggled at some point, and people LOVE to help.  In fact, lots of people helping are ones who were helped in the past and want to pay it forward.

2. It has to be a brand new wishlist (I’ll show you how to make one below) and (to make it fair and make sure we can help as many kids as possible) you should choose under $40 in toys (per kid).  We usually stick with just toys but if your kid needs a coat or socks or something to keep them warm you can add that, but keep it to under $60 (per kid).

3. It’s REALLY important that you follow the instructions on how to set up a public wishlist (your address isn’t shown publicly to anyone) because tons of people miss a step and their list gets ignored and that sucks.

4.  Continue to be awesome.

Here are the rules for people who want to give:

1. Find a comment with a link and send a present.  If the wishlist is empty that means that the list has been filled.  YAY!  If you buy something but it doesn’t give you the option to send it to the person’s registry address that means that they messed up so delete that present from your cart and go to the next person.  You’ll know if it’s messed up because Amazon will try to send the present to your address at checkout.

2.  Continue to be awesome.

Here’s the basic FAQ because we’ve done it enough to know all the problems:

  • How do I post my wishlist so that my kid gets a present?

Follow these step-by-step instructions:

Log in to Amazon and under “Accounts & Lists” choose “Create a list”.
Select “wish list” and name your list.  Make it “Public.”  See how “keep purchased items on my list” is selected?  Don’t do that.  Uncheck it.

THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART PEOPLE ALWAYS MESS UP:

On the list you just made click on “Edit this list” and this box will pop up.  See where it says “None” on shipping address?  You have to add a shipping address here so click “None” and select “Create new” and add your shipping address there.  (Double-check after you’ve saved it by clicking on “Edit this list” again.  The box will pop up and it should show your address instead of “None” if you’ve done it correctly.)
Please make sure “keep purchased items on your list” and “Don’t spoil my surprises” are NOT checked, otherwise things that have been bought will still show up and people could buy the same thing multiple times.

Now, go shopping.  Put up to $40 in books and toys (and up to $60 in coats/socks if needed) on your wishlist.  Instead of clicking “Add to cart” choose the “Add to list” drop-down under it and select your list.  (Make sure you choose a size if you need a coat or jacket.)  If possible, stick with things that offer Prime shipping and that arrive before the holiday.

If you don’t live in America please say where you live in the comments because it’s much cheaper for Canadian people to buy for Canadians, etc.

Once you’re done go to the comments here and put a link to your wishlist.  Here’s an example I made up:

I’m really struggling this year and have 2 young kids and 1 teenager.  They like books and movies.  I live in America.  I also added an inexpensive coat and mittens for one my youngest  just in case anyone could help.  Here’s my link: amazon.com.blahblahblah

  • What should I choose for my wishlist?

Picking things that are listed as “prime” eligible is ideal because shipping is free for people with prime memberships.  Remember the limits so that we can help as many kids as we can.  Books and art supplies and movies that kids can share are all great suggestions.  Here’s an example list I made with a ton of inexpensive books, toys, etc. that you can use as inspiration to get started.

I went to buy something from a list but the list was empty.

That is actually awesome.  That means everything from their list was bought.  Whoop!

I went to buy something from a list but there wasn’t an address attached to it.

Then delete what you have in your cart and go to the next persons list.  That happens every year.  Leave a comment letting the person know that they need to add an address.

How do I know I’m using the right address?

When you’re looking at the wishlist it will say the name of the person.  When you check out select the same person’s name’s wishlist address or registry address.  If there isn’t one then they haven’t added their address so delete your cart and try the next person.

Are you checking to make sure people are real?

Sort of.  There are some things I do to check but go with your gut.  I do delete people if I know they aren’t real or aren’t following the rules but most people won’t go to the trouble to fake an account for crayons and kid’s books so just use your best judgement.

Can I thank the person who helped me?

You won’t know who they are, but you can totally say thanks in the comments.  You’ll know if something was bought because it will disappear from your list.

What if I don’t get what was sent to me?

It happens, but rarely.  Sometimes you’ll forget to put your address and your stuff goes to the person who bought it.  Or it’s at your neighbor’s house because you weren’t there to sign for it.  Or it was sold out and you’ll get it after the holiday.  It’s rare, but it can happen.

I can’t afford to buy something but I’d like to volunteer to make something or send a card to someone.

Okay.  Just put your email on your comment and they can connect with you.

I’d like to give even more to a particular person.

Awesome!  The best way to do that is to leave your email address in a comment and ask them to contact you so you can help them directly.  Please don’t ask them to add extra stuff to their wishlist because it gets way too confusing.

I want to give 10% off a product I make or let them enter a drawing if they like my Facebook page and tweet a bunch of crap about it.

No.  Sorry.  This is not that.

Will you be my friend?

Yes.  Yes, I will.

PS. This morning I donated $1,000 to Project Night Night in your name.   And now I’m going to fill as many wish lists as I can. The money I spend on this stuff comes directly from my affiliate links and from your support in buying my books, so if you can’t afford to help just know that if you came here this year these gifts are from you too.  In the last 7 years our community has given almost $400,000 to help kids during the holidays.  That is insane, y’all.  But a good kind of insane.

The best kind of insane.

PS. Pretty please stick to the max limit per kid.  You don’t need to add extra things so there are choices because then you end up getting way over the max if people fill your whole list and since there’s a limited amount of money to help some kids might end up getting more than a hundred dollars in gifts and others get nothing.  Thanks everyone!

  1. Karen, where do I even start? You are such a beautiful soul and your humor really touched mine and my husbands heart. Merry Christmas!! 🤶🏻

  2. Thank you to the angel who sent dresses to my little girls on post #1470 so they would be prepared for their daddys funeral i didnt know what i was gonna do when the time comes i still have nothing to wear but then i still have time to come up with something he is still fighting to hang on as his breathing is getting worse and he has the death rattle in his lungs that scares the kids so that they don’t want to
    bed.

  3. Jenny

How is it that you make us all feel heard? Those of us who know we are crazy, those of us who don’t know yet, and those of us who think we are but probably arent. It’s a gift.

I lost my brother this year very suddenly. He was the only kid I ever really shopped for because I don’t have kids of my own. He was autistic, so I was buying kids stuff into his 30s. It was what he loved. And I loved him more than my own life.

Getting to help buy things this year for other kids has made my first Christmas without him a little less painful. Thank you to you and the people here from the bottom of my heart for giving me a chance to do that. And thanks to my fellow givers for reminding me to dig deeper and give more and for making me laugh (Karen!!!)

I hope you all hug your kids and family tight every chance you get this season. It’s a cliche but every day you have with them is a gift.. I know that now more than ever.

  4. Hi. I’ve read this blog pretty regularly for the last few months (maybe you’ve seen some of my comments on other posts). I’ve really enjoyed your writing, and I think that you do this every year is wonderful.

To make a long story short, after escaping an abusive situation, things have suddenly become really, really hard. It went from not really worrying financially and being able to easily share with people who had less, to really struggling just to put food on the table and going to food banks ourselves.

Ladybug, at four, is the youngest kiddo. She’s a really sensitive, gentle little girl. She’s HOH, but has never let that stop her in any way from doing whatever she wants to do. https://www.amazon.ca/hz/wishlist/ls/U4AHGMXJS2X5

Cheetah is nine, and wants to be a scientist when she grows up. She’s very intelligent (much more than she thinks she is) and very sure of who she is and what she believes, which I think is a great quality in such a young person. https://www.amazon.ca/hz/wishlist/ls/1KEQLJTH3TIV9?&sort=default

Butterfly is thirteen. It’s been a hard little while for her. She has Autism and has a lot of difficulty making friends. Her closest companion was the family cat, who had to be left behind when we left, along with a lot of everyone’s stuff, which was really difficult for her. She’s a very sweet person who never has a bad word to say about anyone. https://www.amazon.ca/hz/wishlist/ls/3V931NE531BR9?&sort=default

Jackrabbit is fifteen. He’s the sort of person who will go sit with the person who’s by themselves in the school cafeteria and try to make friends with them. Things have been incredibly tumultuous, but he’s stayed his cheerful self through all of it. https://www.amazon.ca/hz/wishlist/ls/26VRIG5PZ2CMT?&sort=default

Elephant is sixteen. She’s very, very hardworking. She spends all of her time either working on homework, watching her siblings, or working to help out financially. She gets straight As on everything, and reads a bunch of different newspapers. https://www.amazon.ca/hz/wishlist/ls/110QVBEGYJDBL?&sort=default

    I’m Canadian.

    Thank you so much. <3

  5. 1970 Esperanza – I love how you described your little boy on your wish list. He’s getting some new underwear. Happy Holidays!

  6. Jennifer A – If you notice your list was cleared and happen to see this comment, I want to let you know that the items I purchased should be arriving by Wednesday or Thursday. There are a couple of surprises too, one of which should arrive tomorrow or Monday.

Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!

  7. Jenny, Thank you so much for doing this again and thanks for your insightful comment @ #1998. I’m pretty sure I purchased some items from one less than savory list and maybe two over the past 48+ hours. But those minor deviations mean nothing compared to the heart-melting joy I felt reading the gracious replies from those who were genuinely courageous enough and trusting enough to ask for help.

There are literally hundreds and hundreds of touching messages of gratitude in the comments and I have no doubt that every person who wrote those thank-you’s would be first in line to help someone else should their fortunes improve. Once again, you all have helped restore my faith in humanity.

    Merry Christmas.

  8. Hello, my name is Rachel and i am the proud mom of 4. My man is disabled, but hasnt been able to get disability. I work full timeand my oldest is at MIT. While their FinAid is great, our health insurance wont cover her out of state, so the annual contribution plus student health coverage means even living very frugally, we are over budget every month. My MIL helps with what she can, but thinking about xmas this year has been hard. Thank you Jenny for doing this, and thank you everyone else for giving so many happy full hearts.
    Now about my kids!
Baby boy is 3. He loves building, lights, music, dancing, and his fave color is orange. He has enough clothes until he’s 6 thanks to my cousins and friends.
My ‘younger’ 16 yo twin daughter is into makeup, hair color, clothes, music and boys boys boys, fave color is purple, shes a size 1-2x.
My ‘older’ twin girl is a HUGE manga/anime fan, she reads about 10 books a week. She LOVES socks, but is a size 11 oen’s.
I didnt add anything to the list for my oldest, cuz she’s not a ‘kid’, and she’s also gotten hooked up with winter clothes by my friends and fam on the east coast. She loves brain teasers and manga/anime.

  9. Maramirror #2005 Would it be possible for you to remake this wishlist on american Amazon?? I ask because Canadian amazon doesn’t recognize american Prime members, at least it didn’t recognize me, and that added quite a bit in shipping costs.

  10. I am a single mother and a foster parent. My children are 2yr boy, and my girls are 4yr, 8yr, and 10yr. Three of my children were recently placed with me on an emergency due to parents using drugs abuse, neglect, and sexual assault. This broke my heart when I was contacted and found out what these children had been through. While trying to get them settled in and making sure they had the things they needed to be as comfortable as possible I became behind in my own bills. Right now I am struggling financially and with Christmas being around the corner it’s looking like I will not be able to make Christmas happen this year. These children deserve to have a great Christmas and some gifts from Santa this year. I am asking for help with making this possible for my little once. It breaks my heart when I hear my girls talk about the gifts they want Santa to bring them because I know that right now I am not in a place that I can make that come true. I fear that I will fail them this Christmas without any help.

Please consider my children for Christmas this year. Anything is appreciated and I thank Santa in advance the great gifts he/she may bring my little one.

1yr boy: likes cars, toys, books and Elmo

4yr girl: likes dolls, gymnastics, books,

8yr girl: likes dolls, books, blocks,

10yr girl: likes dolls, frozen, books, dancing, nail polish, bracelets, and purses.

    Check out this list: https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/1BGHFB4ICCS72

  11. First things first I just want to send a HUGE Thank you to every one who helped make my daughter’s Christmas amazing! Everything on her list was purchased so I know she will have an amazing holiday thanks to James Garfield’s miracle workers. All 7 items on the list I created for her were purchased!

Tonight when I took her best friend home I got a chance to see first hand how amazing her best friends mother is. We are close to her family …or at least thought we were, it turns out her best friends mom was trying to keep it a secret from us just how bad they are struggling. Her mom is a single mom who works full time and goes to school full time and did not qualify for much student aid so she still pays some out of pocket. When I dropped the daughter off I noticed how cold the apartment was, the mom has the heater set at 64 because she is afraid to run the heat too much because of the bill, this alone broke my heart. Then I noticed they didn’t have a tree up yet when I Asked about they said they were moving Christmas by a few months till they can afford it.

Then and there I decided that since my family has been blessed thanks to your generosity I would pay it forward. 2 of the presents purchased for my daughter I know her best will love so I am going to go ahead and make sure those are under their tree. Unfortunately I can’t do more than 2 because the girls wear different sizes . I will be hitting the thrift store in the am to get her a coat but I still need a little help getting a few more gifts for the both of the mom and daughter under the tree. Since we live in the same apartment complex I already spoke to our manager who is going to help by getting them a little 3 ft tree and have the heat put back in the complex’s name till the end of Jan. Slowly it is coming together and it does feel good to be able to help even if it is just organizing and sharing the blessings we have been given. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you again you amazing elves!

Here is a small list I put together for them:

  12. Monique, I picked up a couple more things off your list along with a surprise for you. Everything should be arriving between the 12th and the 15th or maybe 16th.

Merry Christmas to you and your little one!

  18. It’s 4am here in CA and I can’t sleep so I have been reading some of the comments here to help me get into the Christmas spirit. Its a hard time of year for me, I always remember how we buried my grandma the day after Christmas a few years ago and my mom passed away just last year before Thanksgiving. I’m trying to keep positive for my husband and children but I know you all can understand how some days are harder than others. I feel so alone sometimes since we don’t have close family or many friends. We’re moving before Christmas and my husband is unemployed. I’m a stay at home mom. We have been struggling for a long time. Hoping the new year will be better for us all. I posted a few times earlier because I thought our list was overlooked or lost in the mix, I was feeling desperate to get a gift for my children, especially my 4 year old. I’m now realizing that my list was probably overlooked on purpose because I had too many items. I’m not greedy or trying to pull anything over here, I would never do that. I posted an ongoing wish list I had for my kids without reading the rules. I have moved items off the list now. We received one little house on the prairie book that I am so grateful for. Thanks for reading all this/ for having this site Jenny so we don’t have to feel so alone or misunderstood. There’s so much love and kindness here. ❤

This is the link to the list I created for my son. He’s eleven years old, and truly an amazing kid. We’ve been through a lot together and he has fought through illness and injury right along with me. I love him so much! We just don’t have a lot of money this year and I don’t want Christmas to look bleak for him. Please consider filling this request. Thank you so much!

    (Your wishlist is fulfilled! ~Jenny)

Hi. Check out this list: https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/YS93SNTEG62B

  23. Thank you so much Jenny & kind elves who chose to lift a new mom’s spirits for Christmas. She will be so surprised! It’s a little light of hope for her and baby. You are all wonderful people. Merry Christmas everyone 🎄

  24. I want to make a list for a neighbor’s daughter, but don’t want to look scammy. Is this ok?

  25. Hello my original post was #1817 but I believe I am being over looked because I posted annoymous. This is the first time I have done this so was confused as to what to do. My sister in law that is 13 lost her biological mom the beginning of this year, and is now with her dad that is on SSI. She is going through a lot and is seeing a counselor for depression. I just really want to see a smile on her face. Also due to my just having my daughter that is 2 months old I have been out of work I was working when I was pregnant but was in and out of the hospital with hypermesis real bad where I would throw up for days at a time and have to be hospitalized. I ended up finally having my daughter but had to have a emergency c section.my husband is working but does landscaping which is down now due to the weather the only money we had we spent on Christmas dinner for everyone.any help for Megan and Roselynn would be great but please help Megan first you can tell it’s for her because it’s not baby items. She is on the bigger size and we are trying to work with her on her weight but it’s a fraigle situation after losing her mom. Thanks and God bless

  26. Thank you, thank you, thank you, to you sweet souls who purchased items for my children, (my son, as well as 2 nieces whom I care for). They will each be receiving 3 items, so I deleted the remaining un-purchased books from my sons list.

It saddens me to see that people are getting greedy and adding items after being gifted so much already. I’m sure we would all love to provide our children with hundreds of dollars worth of gifts to open, but until I can do so independently, I cannot in good conscious continue to ask for more and more, especially when there are so many deserving people needing a helping hand.

Is it not better for many people to get a little, than a few getting many with the rest getting none?

So again, thank you to #1491, #1840, and whomever else helped to bring smiles on Christmas morning! <3 <3 <3

  27. Shoshanna, comment 1582 – would it be possible for me to email you, as I would like to thank you.

  28. I’m super confused! I’m posted 1763 and I had deleted a Minecraft pickaxe from my list because it’s price has doubled when I first made my list. When I deleted it, it wasn’t purchased. How in the world is it showing purchased on my end? I double and triple checked that it was deleted and posted about deleting it so people would know I didn’t intentionally add a $65 item… it was only $32 or something when my list was first made. But anyway is this a glitch or is it possible that someone purchased it after it had been deleted? I feel awful if someone spent that on one of my kids and I apologize if it was still on the list. I promise I deleted yesterday. If it really was purchased I’m gonna go sit and ugly cry with my quart of cookies n cream ice cream in the bathroom so the kids don’t hear me lol. Thank you to all the elves and angels in here!

  29. I posted yesterday and thought I would try again today. My husband and I have two little girls ages 3 & 7. I was out of work for several months and I was blessed with a new job. Unfortunately we are playing catch up now on all the bills and don’t have much of anything for Christmas. I deleted some of the clothes and and some items from their list. Some items they can share as well. I hope I’m doing it right.

    Thank you!

  30. To Chris, #2012. Your girls are going to have their Christmas pajamas! They won’t arrive the same day, but they will have them before Christmas!

  31. I can’t find the previous comments but GUYS PLEASE! This list is for my sister and my nieces and nephews. Her husband is looking for work and they are barely scraping by. They took in a 5 month old foster baby from their church in order to keep her out of the foster system until her mom is released from jail. (The mom is serving 6 months for a charge that’s years old from when she was a dumb teen). They are AMAZING people and need to be blessed this year. They’ve never needed to ask for help but this year it’s needed. Her comment was under Brandi Two days ago. I’ve reposted the link because the only 4 items purchased were done by me (I can prove it if needed) but I’m hoping she won’t see this because I didn’t want her to know I bought them. The list is for 5 kids so it’s not over the per child limit. If I could buy them all I would. We’re helping them as our finances allow but we’re tight too. I am forever grateful for anyone who helps my amazing family.
Lord God, if anyone sees this and blesses Brandi’s kids I pray You would truly bless them for their kindness and for being Your hands and feet!

  32. I am the single mother of 6 children ranging in age from 8 to 16 which includes 3 bouts and 3 girls. This had been a rough year for myself and my family as I was diagnosed with intracranial hypertension which causes severe pressure on my brain and my eye. Due to this condition I have been out of work since January starting on short term disability. Since also my claim wad converted to long term disability but I am still waiting on a decision on whether my claim is approved or not so I haven’t gotten paid and have gotten behind on so many bills and just trying to stay afloat with the small amount of child support I receive. All I want for Christmas is to see a smile on my children’s faces as they have gone without necessities sometimes but have remained humble and supportive and helped out when i can’t get out of bed. Any help is appreciated and my family with be thankful for. Happy holidays!

Hi. Check out this list: https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/IYDKBS9BICPN

  33. Also, from just above, if you do bless my sister’s family please click on my name (Who Poo’d?) and contact me so I can thank you personally!

  34. To Mara Mirror at #2005, I got one book from each list. They should get there before Christmas.

  35. Realizing I am probably too late but still hopeful. 13 year old boy. Put some headphones and slippers on the list. 8 year old boy needs a jacket and loves legos. 6 year old girl loves all things Basrbie and needs a warn coat. It had to be pink of course. 2 year old boy some duplo because he has to be like his brothers and a jacket. Thank you so much if you are able to help. Wish List

  36. Anon,
It most definitely is but how is it even possible? Do deleted list items still show? I can’t help but feel bad. I’m definitely beyond grateful, in shock, and so excited for my son but I can’t for the life of me figure out how. I guess how isn’t important here, I’m just hoping it wasn’t something I did. Whoever you are, thank you! That is literally the only thing my son asked Santa for this year so Santa is coming!!!!! Merry Christmas everyone!

  37. Anonymous comment 1982: My apologies. This isn’t my first time at this rodeo. And as others have pointed out, day three things start to get a little hinky. Like Jenny said, some folks get caught up in the moment and get overly excited that they’ll be able to do something for their family or friends and start piling on. I’ve been fortunate enough to have never been in such a desperate situation that I’ve had to ask for help outside the family. I can’t imagine how hard THAT is, knowing just how hard it was to ask my sister and feeling like a complete and utter failure as a mom.

If I might offer some advice, if you find yourself in the same situation next year – and I well and truly hope you don’t – have your group set up completely separate Amazon accounts. That way everyone will have their own list that isn’t tied to others. Things look a bit suspect when various names pop up and the link takes someone looking to help to an account they’ve previously purchased from, which is what happened with me. Things also raise alarms when the lists disappear, reappear, names on the lists change, items are deleted and added repeatedly, and so on.

I didn’t cancel any orders, because I figure either way, whoever is asking has their own reasons.

Now i’m off to do some more shopping. I hope you accept my apology and you and your family and friends have a wonderful Christmas.

  38. Oh my! Thank you so much my little one will be happy with his new undies and pants! I can’t thank you all enough and to Jenny and James Garfield you really are Santa’s in your own rite! Love and a merry christmas to all!

  39. Hi Danelle–the diapers are coming, hoping things get better fast for you and your family.

  40. I am re-posting for my niece – I was originally #856 & #857 … I am grateful for what was purchased for my two babes, but I am shamelessly hoping for at least a winter jacket for my niece’s kids.
They moved from Louisiana to Washington in Aug with nothing but three suitcases between them to get away from a bad situation where mom had no support system.

I asked her to update her list because a few items were not prime or were already out of stock, so please know we’re not trying to scam ya’ll.

She did homeschooling while in Louisiana, and is wanting to get back into that so she added the Kindle as a ‘hopeful’ for the three older school age kids…

  44. I recently took a group of children into my home because their parents are addicted to meth. They are really sweet kids but have seen more in their short life than any child should ever have to see. Their ages are 4,6,12, and 13. I am trying to make their Christmas memorable despite their current obstacles. Any assistance that you can give is very much appreciated. https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/1NI5K2M6AIB7O

  45. Jenny- thank you so much for setting this up! Nancy A- and Heather thank you for your generosity. My god continue to bless you.

  46. Hi everyone! Mom of one soon to be 5 year old boy. I have a job and am going to school, but it’s tight. I’ve managed to buy some books, jammies and clothes, but could really use some help in the toy department. Adam is obsessed with dinosaurs and magnets right now (along with rocks and Pez, which I’ll get and put in his stocking) and if someone could help me with a plushie and a magnet, I’d be very grateful.

  47. Lisa at number 258. I don’t know if you posted the wrong list as the list posted has over $1,000 worth of items including a wig and a $150 external hard drive and two different packages of $50 beef jerky. Perhaps you might want to edit your list to include only the items wanted for AJ.

  48. Lisa, I’m not criticizing, it just appear as a lot of the items are items that you had on prior to this lovely James Garfield Miracle event being started. That may be why things are not being purchased.

  49. Should have read #2058. Posting from my phone. Sometimes it posts anonymous, sometimes as SadieLu. I found a $20 bill last night. People have blessed my list and I wanted to purchase something for someone else.

  50. For Cameron Ray #1919 – Sending one of the playsets your way. Should keep the baby busy for awhile – a gift for the little one AND the parents. Happiest of Christmases to you! <3

  51. Reposting since I’m not a OT to find the original. Mobile and might not have posted this correctly. Originally number 1188 I think.

This list is for a family friend, they are struggling badly. SSDI and so many bills. If anyone can help them they would be so thankful.
16 year old girl, 10 year old boy and a 3 year old.

    I made them a list.

  52. It was surreal. It was magical. It was It’s a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol all mixed together and arriving in brown Amazon boxes.
My wish list was fulfilled within hours. Boxes have started to arrive and POOF all that worry, stress and dread about Christmas was lifted from my shoulders and already fucked up brain.
Thank you with all my heart, jenny with a small j and Kristen L. Manies. You can’t imagine how much your generosity means to me.
Freed from worry, I was able to purchase one of my favorite books from someone else’s list to gift. And Jenny is right. It felt incredible. Love you Jenny Lawson. And everyone. Right now I love everyone. (This is subject to change as soon as I read twitter comments.)

  53. Thank you so much. I have been making bank off these giveaways for a few years now. god bless the big retailers for their liberal return policies. Me and my partner invest that money in Magic the gathering cards for my children’s future. Can my youngest send you a card?

  54. Everyone, I am seriously crying right now. And getting some funny looks from the other people here right now but I dont mind ! I got back to the library before I thought I would 🙂 I want to say thank you so much to the strangers who have blessed my babies ! But with Baby Micheal on my lap (wanting to help type) and trying to keep a eye on Joseph and Gracie (they love to wander in the book isles), I cant scroll thru to find the names of exactly who to thank ! But if you see this, and we ring a bell, Thank you so, so much ! From myself and the kids ! I cant wait til Christmas now !
    Much love from Melissa #1303

  55. I wanted to say that it is a powerful testament to Jen Lawson that she is followed by and surrounds herself with truly awesome people.

Last year I was in a position to ask for help and was blown away by someone who sent my children the small items I asked for, then extra. And even wrapping paper and scissors.

This year I got to play elf and it felt amazing!

But enough about me. I want us to all remember the person who started this.

She has bad days and she has great days and through it all, she has become a leader on the internet whose influence is bringing Christmas to SO MANY CHILDREN.

    Love you Jen.

    You. Are. Amazing.

    Your friend, Amy

  56. #2057 bless you for what you are doing for these children. I don’t have much but found $20 last night. I purchased one of the Baby Alive dolls for your girls. I remember having one as a child and I hope she enjoys it as much as I did. Merry Christmas.

  57. #1996 Danielle F… I went to click on your list, and saw that some kind angel had beaten me to it. I know that our military men and women do not serve, alone…there families are always with them. Thank you, folks, for your service, and congratulations on your double blessings. 🙂

  58. I work as a teacher in a nonprofit Montessori school. I have RA, my life is a mess, but I have a roof over my head, a kind husband, a kind daughter, and we have what we need. My father passed away almost two years ago. I used some of the money I received after settling his accounts to purchase gifts for 4 or 5 families.Thank you for giving me the opportunity to honor my dad, Shelby Glen Ellis, by helping others. He’s be proud.

  59. I just wanted to start by saying I think this is amazing! I was able to help someone a couple of years ago and it felt so great. Sadly I’m on a differnnt end of this is year. We are a family of 6 and live in ky my husband works very hard out in the water and cold year round to support us but we are having a tuff time this Christmas and if anyone could help you have no idea how much it would mean to us! I do not by any means expect everything on their list to be purchases. I let them pick out their own items I wasn’t sure exactly how it works but I only made one list and out all their names and items there. Also I’m not sure if this is allowed but my oldest was asking me why we don’t have a bunch of Christmas cards like this friends family has put up in their house ..we don’t know many people and I couldn’t tell you the last time we received a card from anyone lol but he’s wanting Christmas cards and they looooove getting mail to open I may be crazy for putting this out there but if anyone would be interested in sending them a card please do! You don’t even have to sign it I just know they would enjoy getting them and hanging them on the wall! Again I just want to say how truely amazing this all is!!! Merry Christmas everyone!!

  60. Bryanna #2023 – you have a few new sets of PJs on the way now. One of the jackets was out of stock, but should ship later this week. Hope you and the girls have a warm and happy Christmas. <3

  61. This is my first year seeing this. At first, I posted a list for my 4 kids, but ended up deleting my list because I felt like there were so many families who needed help more than we do. I hope to be able to help one year. Merry Christmas and God bless. Please, ignore comments #367 &#1535.

  62. Jocelyn, you’ve just sent more things to Christina Segundo. Just a heads up that she’s posting under many names. See post 2056.

  63. Emily, again thank you! The mailman just dropped off the Dinosaur book, coloring books and crayons you purchased for my grandsons. 😉

Still hoping someone will bless them with a toy from my list, but I’m going to Goodwill this afternoon to see if I can find anything and I found some online recipes for homemade slime and playdoh so
    I’ll make it work!

  64. I just wanted to say thank you for this. I’m in desperate need of some assistance for My family this year. My children watched their father get into a motorcycle accident and then air lifted to the hospital. He still currently has seizures ans is teeing to Control them to work as much as possible. I went through 2 hip surgies and an emergency gallbladder surgery this year and with both of us getting slammed with with all of this this summer we recently both stated back to work thank goodness. Or kids went through a horrible summer watching both of us in wheelchairs and learning how to assist in their fathers seizures. It’s been very rough, literally one thing after another. We are going for any help. The stuff in the wish list are examples of anything or kids like.
    We’ve got 3 girls ages 11, 11, and 4
    We’ve also got 2 Boys ages 9 and 2

We are praying for any help possible please. 🙁

  66. So to the person who posted my name calling me out thinking they know me.The 14 gifts my kids got in total of around 250 dollars are n returned to sender.I did post those all except for the Bryanna and I honestly would love to know where u got your info I your assuming that’s me? The first one I couldn’t find and i reposted again in the 390s.Many people not just me had that issue.I reposted my story so people would know why I was here in the 1400s.Again everyone else did this as well to make sure their kids weren’t overlooked. The other comments were answering other commenters and thanking those who helped..AGAIN something everyone else did.I seriously wish u would come over so u can see that every gift for my kid Is needed and appreciated. However I wi not accept them because of people like you.My list was posted for not even the limit for 4 kids. There are people who received over 500 for 1 kid and your calling me out because I reposted my list and then answered those others on here when asked a question.you don’t know me however I urge you to come over just to prove you wrong.Your mixing people up saying they are me without knowing anyone and in turn some child isn’t going to get anything just because you think you know. Please add me on facebook.I will send u my address so you can see what is recieved and also when they are returned.I love to prove people wrong.the fact is I posted just like everyone else.I reposted to make sure my kids weren’t overlooked and i answered people who put my name in their mouth and also thanked those who helped.I did the same as everyone else.As for the Bryanna name you put a swing it’s me that’s real sad.Sorry to whoever it is and I wish I had their address to send the stuff my kids get to them.Because of you ASSUMING some child will go without. To everyone who purchased for my kids. Please be watching a YouTube channel called baby bunch I will post a video of every package being returned.I donated here last year only to be called a scammer this year.No thanks.I will find a way but I work to hard to be called something like this.

  67. I came on here today to see all the wonderful things people were saying, but then I checked my Amazon and I had been logged out, my password changed and I had lists missing items were purchased that I did not purchase:'( my Amazon had been hacked last night:'( Idk what to do!

  68. Hi!

I have a little boy that I would love some help with. He just turned 13 and is on the autism spectrum so gifs are always hard to figure out. :). We’ve been struggling again this year losing our vehicle and trying to keep up with the kids appointments and school. It’s been hectic to say the least. Thank you to anyone that can help us out. I’m hoping to be able to give next year. I think it will be a wonderful thing to do together.

    Check out this list: https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/5LKAZ4W9IQB5

  69. Jocelyn I assured you that you have not sent anything to me.As for anonymous please come to my house so I can make you feel real dumb when the items that were ordered for my kids are the only ones that show up.I have an extra bedroom.I will even feed you until the last package arrives.Keep my name out of your mouth and get a life. Please post the proof that person is me.I want to see it as I am sure everyone else as well.

  70. J#2006 thank you that is the best way to describe my little guy he struggles at times in school and such but has learned that trying hard and working hard pays off! I’m hoping by next Christmas we can gift another family on this event. But either way we will keep up our volunteer work and just trying to be good caring humans. We are hoping to work with a soup kitchen this Christmas to give out time because that’s all we have to give.

  71. Thank you to those that purchased a few items from our list! My kids are going to be so excited! When I checked our list today I noticed the scooter wasn’t Prime and from a 3rd party. I updated it. I tried looking for specific people to thank in all these comments but couldn’t find you if you posted. I’m way back at 790 originally. https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/32OJSA5QH654O

  72. I helped my sister- and brother-in law make wishlists for their kids last night. Apparently they’ve been trying to figure out how to do it for a couple days but couldn’t get into their Amazon or something. They have internet access at their house so I had my husband help them post their wishlists from there to hopefully avoid the possibility of any scamming accusations from anyone who doesn’t know the situation. I didn’t want to share their lists from my internet bc I didn’t want to get dragged into any scamming arguments or something, but they’re pretty much internet-incompetent with the exception of that my brother-in-law at least has his own Facebook account. I feel bad because they really aren’t having much luck with their kids wishlists and I know the chances of them managing to post to the blog on their own is probably slim to none. They have three kids, Daijah (16), Payton (8), and Kodah (3). Someone purchased an embroidery set or something like for my middle niece, Payton. I originally helped Jennifer add gift cards for Daijah bc she’s a teenager and kind of into her own things and what do you get teenagers anyway? Now I’m just worried someone is going to assume its a scam because of the gift cards, so we changed them out for little trinkets that she might like. If there are any Santa’s out there still looking to help kids who haven’t gotten a lot of help thus far, these are three great kids. I’m going to share their lists because I feel bad about not doing it when I know that I easily could. There are four things on Daijahs list now, four on Kodah’s, and four on Payton’s (there were 5, but ones been purchased). Each list is right around $40 and we stuck to things that for the most part are obviously things that only a kid would like. The kids lists are at:

  73. I just wanted to come back and read all of the heartwarming comments and reminders of the holiday’s true meaning, once more.

    You folks are awesome.

On my end, thanks to you, a Christmas miracle is about to unfold… not just for the two precious little girls I posted for, first, but for their mother. On Friday, she had the second surgery to repair damages from abuse, and it required several teeth to be pulled. I went to see her, and told her about the James Garfield Miracle and that she and her girls will be receiving something from Santa if she would honor us by joining us for Christmas dinner. She had actually told her 6-year old the “truth about Santa,” because she couldn’t bear to see her disappointment on Christmas day. There will be copies of “Let’s Pretend This Never Happened” and “Furiously Happy” under the tree for the mother, and the clothes and toys (along with a letter from Santa, stockings, and a food basket that we are putting together) for them, as well.

As if things couldn’t get even better, you Christmas Angels have ALSO gifted our neighbor’s 15-year old daughter with some much-coveted art supplies. Our own 17-year old is willing to forego her OWN Christmas wishlist (other than her graduation cap and gown, which are kind of a necessity) in order to help purchase a gift apiece for the girl’s three younger siblings. If we can, we’d like to put together a food basket for THEM, as well.

THEN, to show you just how magical this miracle is… my 82-year old mother-in-law (who lives with us) has not wanted to do much for Christmas since my father-in-law passed, four years ago. Yesterday morning, I was reading her some of the posts on this page. She was so touched that she asked me if I would mind getting the boxes out of the storage barn and HELP DECORATE THE HOUSE, FOR CHRISTMAS!

Yes, folks… the house is now adorned in evergreen boughs, red velvet, and a tiny light-up village on a bed of white cotton snow. The tree is up, completely decorated with all of her most sentimental ornaments. She even mentioned wanting a new needle for her record player, so that she can play her Christmas records!

And all of this was because of Jenny, James Garfield, and the best Tribe, ever.
Holiday blessings to each and every one of you.

  74. I need some extra help this year. I have 2 teenage boys- 16 and 15, a 9 year old girl and a 5 year old boy. We live in the US. I just hope I’m not too late to ask for help.

    Michael

  75. Re: Millie Mullins #165

    Linda

  76. Christina Segundo —
When people click on Bryana’s list (2023), your name shows up. Christina Segundo. I’m sure you’ll tell us that’s someone else, but it’s a weird coincidence, don’t you think?
It’s sad how many of the comments in this thread are from you. I thought you had work all day today and for the next two weeks. Wherever do you find the time? The more you comment the worse you are making it.
I believe your kids are real. I’m glad they got gifts. Please just be happy about it and stop harassing people on this thread who are trying to donate to people who haven’t gotten anything yet.

  77. Anonymous #2015, I remade the lists on American Amazon. (I switched some books, because some were more or less expensive on the USA’s Amazon.)

    Ladybug: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2IRX58LQRN0LY?&sort=default

    Cheetah: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/DM5GOT48J3II?&sort=default

    Butterfly: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/7XS5CLL70F8P?&sort=default

    Jackrabbit: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3RNDNCW60AJ55?&sort=default

    Elephant: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/8YVU848QHYAD?&sort=default

But before you buy any of them anything, you should know that a lovely lovely person has already bought a book for each of them! LouiseK, thank you so so much. They’re going to LOVE the books. Cheetah loves science and loves to read about women in science, so she’ll get a lot out of that book. Ladybug loves Steven Universe (it’s the only show she and Cheetah can agree on), so she’ll love the picture book adaption. Butterfly will be really happy to finally be able to read the Black Butler book she’s been missing. Jackrabbit LOVES Allen Ginsberg, and will be excited to have a copy of some of his poetry. Elephant has been really interested in reading The Politics of Fear ever since it came out, so she’ll be so delighted to open that book on Christmas morning. I’m really, really relieved that they’ll all have something to open instead of being without. <3 I’ve really enjoyed reading this blog ever since I stumbled upon it. It’s not only Jenny that makes it wonderful, though, it’s all of you. You’re all really good people.

While I’d obviously love for them each to get another book or two, I think everyone’s first priority should be the kids who’ve been given nothing yet. Merry Christmas everyone–you’ve all definitely made a lot of kids’ Christmases merrier.

  78. To Big Sister in Ohio #1962
I’ve picked up the last items for your sisters. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you!
    Valzora

  79. Adding to my comment at #2091, since I see there are still a few people posting/reposting… so…if anyone WOULD like to donate an item for one of the three younger children (Anna has a gift of drawing supplies on the way…thank you, JGM Angel!), we will use the money we would have spent to purchase their gifts to ensure that the family is able to get an ample food basket instead. Thank you all, again.

  80. Original post 2052- someone bought my daughter her boots but now theyre back on the list? Did i do something wrong with the link?

  81. Hi everyone!

First of all, thanks for reading and being willing to help others. You never know how much it may mean to the person on the other end. 🙂

Anyways, I am looking for help making Christmas awesome for my son and two nieces. I’m a single mom and work from home as a freelance writer. Every year around this time, my income drops dramatically. Probably because my clients spend differently during the holidays. My brother is also unable to buy gifts for his daughters, so I am hoping to be able to pick up the slack for him to help their mom out.

Christian is a 7-year-old boy who loves electronics and is learning to read. His list includes a Furby (his big “I want that!” item this year), and a few books I think he’d love. I also added a Pokemon winter accessories set.
    Total: $57.76
    Christian’s Wishlist: http://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/XRA89HKYY3Y0

Aryanna is a 2-year-old girl who LOVES the movie Trolls. Her list includes a Troll Hugtime Poppy and a Trolls winter accessories set.
    Total: $58.78

Journee is a 6-month-old baby who loves making noise and exploring. Her wishlist includes a Lil’ Critters Moosical Beads (which is currently 66% off, but was 71% not even an hour ago, so not sure how long that will last), a Move and Crawl Baby Ball, and some wrist rattles. I also included a coat that includes a scarf.
Total (as of me writing): $58.06

P.S. I apologize if this is a duplicate. I tried posting earlier, but it doesn’t seem to have gone through (unless they have to be approved first).

  82. Thank you rich.! Mean alot to Me thank you again

Happy holidays from me and my little one

  83. Anonymous when I clicked the link on 2023 a Bryanna Alan is in river oaks pops up.i am in fort worth. Please go back and look at what your saying before you ruin Christmas for someone else for your assumptions.

  84. Can someone please tell me if I did it right or if something is wrong with my list. this is the first time I have done some thing like this and desperate for help. When I asked for help on a nextdoor neighbor app the woman said she couldn’t help but told me about this. I see all these others getting help that’s posted after me and just wondering did I do something wrong.thanks and God bless my original number was 1817 thanks

  85. MaraMirror, you are so welcome! I really was finished buying things, but when I saw your post, and you’re Canadian, and all your wish lists were for books, how could I ignore that? Have a wonderful Christmas! ❤️

  86. I posted earlier for my nephews 2099, I just realized this might not be allowed, if it’s not I appologize, I’m not sure how to delete. Thank you and God bless.

  87. Unlikely Story @ 2064, Santa says the dinosaurs are on their way and should be arriving on the 15th and 20th. However, he does not recommend Neodymium magnets for young children. They are WAY too strong and can cause injury if one is not careful. Magnets are a very cool toy for inquisitive minds, but regular magnets are better for little ones.

  88. Struggling Mama- Post 1549
Your last needs for a warm winter-boots and a coat have been purchased.
Merry Christmas from someone who has needed help in the past.

  89. Hey, reposting in hopes that someone will see my comment I think I was comment #1862 originally.

Im a single mom of a 6 year old girl, I do have a job working in a state park, but since it is winter it is our slower months so I get laid off, I try every year to prepare as best as I can, but some years are harder than others.

Willow is wonderfully optimistic about the world, loves anything ‘kitty’ and wears cat ear headbands everyday, she loves to draw and has a wild imagination always making up stories, she loves to play with my makeup and wears high heel shoes as often as I will let her get away with it, even if she is wearing sweats! lol

    Willow’s link is – http://a.co/dgwqVed

I have a 19 year old boy as well, but he will be away from home, he is a marine who came home in November for the ‘holidays’ and he understands how bills and life work and is okay with waiting until tax season lol.

Thank you all for taking the time to read, Merry Christmas!

  90. NELLIE IVE JUST LOOKED AND I DIDNT HAVE THE ALLOWING THIRD PARTY TO SEND TO MY ADDRESS TICKED BUT I DO NOW SO IT SHOULD BE OK,THANK YOU
Can someone look at my wishlist please and confirm its working and everything on my list is acceptable please? I think its because im from the uk nothings been purchased yet does anyone know if there is something similar like this for uk? Thank you for anyones help 🙂
Posting from the UK. Not sure if my 1st post went through as couldnt find it so trying again.
Im a mum of 3 girls age 9,7 and 3. My “7” year old was sadly stillborn i found put whilst in labour. Im really struggling this christmas as im working but bills are eating all my wages as childcare is so expensive. I believe this is the last christmas that my oldest believes in father christmas so i want to make it special. I cant turn to my parents as they have both sadly passed too my mum was killed by a drunk driver and we had to turn my dads life support off,so my children obviously dont get presents off grandparents either just me and my brother &sister. This site is amazing and i cant believe the help and support everyone is giving each other. If anyone was to help even just 1 gift each for my girls i would be enternily greatful. Thank you and wishing every one as good as christmas as it could be xx
I posted before but the wrong link hopefully this works xx

  91. Unlikely Story @ 2064, The elves found a more suitable set of magnets for your five-year-old. They are expected to arrive on the 15th.

  92. I took screenshots earlier as well and all had Christina Segundo in the name slot over the lists. The Bryanna post did have Bryanna alanis under the “your friends” tab next to the avatar. Another had Christina Segundo Hernandez next to the avatar.

Bottom line folks, be careful and if you are hesitant Project Night Night is an awesome alternative.

  93. Sorry also forgot to add i thought it was because certain items wasnt coming from amazon as to why it wouldnt let people ppurchase so i tooo items off and added items sent from amazon or fulfilled by amazon. Hope this is ok

(That’s totally okay. If things are listed as Amazon Prime they usually can be sent. If they aren’t fulfilled by Amazon it can cause problems. ~ Jenny)

  94. Jenny, you’ve done it again! Made me cry. Rebecca #1290 a few gifts are coming. I hope there’s something for both kids. EJ #2017 a few things are coming for your neighbor. So kind of you to have thought about them. Merry Christmas to everyone in the Bloggess Tribe.

  95. Jennifer @ 2037, Adding… you did not make a mistake. Santa keeps his own list and checks it twice. BTW, those joyful ugly cries with cookies n cream ice cream are the best for putting one in the Christmas spirit. I speak from experience. The comments here are a good catalyst as are the movies “Miracle on 34th Street” and “It’s a Wonderful Life”.

  96. Thank you all for everything you do! This is an amazing expierence and I am so so so thankful for everything you all have done.

  97. I just wanted to give a thank you to the angels that helped me get just about everything on my little boys lists. We hope to “adopt” another family on here next year or be able to gift items to families in need like ours next year or the years to come depending on our own situation right here. You are all such an inspiration and just thank you, thank you, thank you. My boys are going to have their Christmas from Santa because of you.

  98. As you all know, Rudolph is very good at navigation. He just passed along a helpful tip for those who are trying to find things on this massive list of comments. If you press Ctrl-f on your PC (command-f on a Mac), it brings up a search text box. Type in the text you want to find and it will locate the first match and let you walk through subsequent matches.

Note that there are now two pages of comments. At the bottom of the page for the James Garfield post you will see a link to go to the older comments or newer comments depending on which page you are on. Merry Christmas.

  99. We have 3 kids, teens lucky us haha no really they are very sweet kids. Its been a rough few years. We live with family because we lost our place and the kids have been troopers. They are asking for clothes and a few educational things. Thank you and God Bless this blog and all of you beautiful people. Even just knoeing this exists has renewed my faith in people!

  100. Rich I just saw your comment. Thank you so much! I’m not sure if I should feel embarrassed, ashamed or just suck it up and let you know how much that means to me. I’ve never been in this situation and while I’ve never been able to help other families at Christmas I’ve never had to ask for help either. I wish I could reach through this screen and hug you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

  101. I just wanted to post one more time and say a big huge, thank you to everyone who got something for my kids. Packages have started arriving and I am finally actually excited for Christmas instead of dreading it. Thank you to everyone and I hope every single person that asked for or received help here has an absolutely fantastic Christmas! 💙🎅🎄

  102. Hello everyone.
I am in need of help for Christmas this year. We fell on hard times this year after I was medically retired from the Marine Corps after 11 1/2 years of service. I support my disabled mother (for whom I have been fighting to get her disability for going on five years now) my soon to be 16 year-old little brother, and my 10 year-old daughter by myself. My little brother doesn’t want any presents this year because he wants to make sure that my daughter gets Christmas (I was able to get two presents for them both before I was medically retired) so I’ve only add presents for my daughter on the list. She still believes in Santa and I would hate for this to be the way she stops believing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to anyone who helps us this Christmas.

    Much Love and Gratitude,

    Franny

  103. Post 2076 can someone please let me know if I posted the right link to my wishlist?! I used the link on the share option it isn’t loading right for me when I click it but thinkin maybe its my internet I just want to make sure my kids don’t miss out on getting something just cause I’m stupid lol

  104. Looked in my mailbox today to find a gift (Farkle Flip Card game) for my son, Christian. Not sure who sent it, but whomever you are thank you, thank you, thank you. I am beyond grateful! Every little bit helps, especially with my son’s birthday coming just a few days after Christmas (Dec.29th) He loves the Farkle dice game, so I’m sure he’ll love the card game. Thanks again and have a Blessed Holiday and a Happy New Year! From #1504

  105. To Talia Walters: I just checked your link for post 2076 and it goes right to Amazon…Walter’s Wish List? I think you got it right! Happy Holidays!

  106. Hello all and Merry Christmas, I’m reaching out in the hopes of making my daughter’s Christmas a little brighter this year. Her father and I are going through a divorce, so I’m now a single parent with a limited income who just recently moved into an apartment with my wonderful, smart, beautiful 17 year old daughter. She came to me recently and told me that I didn’t have to get her anything for Christmas this year cause she knows how “rough I’ve had it and that she is too old for Christmas anyways.” I disagree no one is ever too old for Christmas so I told her to make a list and I would see what I could do, I thank all you beautiful people in advance, and one day I hope to be able to return the kindness. The link is http://www.amazon.com Marie’s wish list

(This link doesn’t work. Can you submit a new one? ~ Jenny)

  107. Thank you for doing this. I have had seasons of abundance where I have been able to give much to others. This year I am struggling and I thank you for providing a place to say that without shame. I am an artist and my partner and I own a small VR consulting business. We lost a sizeable contract that was carrying us through 1Q 2018 when our client failed to secure funding and we are struggling to hang in there until some new contracts kick in 1Q 2018. I have three kids still at home. Karen recently turned 18 and is M-F transgender in early stages of hormone treatment, is very self-conscious and has been dealing with severe suicidal depression recently and only wants a Spider-Man hoodie for Christmas. Veda is 16 and a very talented artist; she is also autistic and has been dealing with depression as well. Luka is 14 and has a seizure disorder and migraines; he is a super bright young man who wants to be an animator and has made 3 stop-motion films since he was 8.

My kids have a dad and they will get gifts from him; I don’t consider us to be as high a priority for your giving as those kids who will have absolutely nothing without your generous help. Yet I would so like, though, to be able to have a few gifts under the tree for them other than those I am making for them myself. The struggle of being a working artist dealing with also having severe depression and mood disorder issues is very real. Thank you so much for doing this, and I look forward to giving back in future years.

  108. Macro70: Your link goes directly to the Amazon website. You need to go to your wish list and then cut and paste the link in your comment. Otherwise, people will not be able to find it. Jenny, also, gives real good instructions on exactly how to do it up above in main blog post on James Garfield Christmas Miracle 2017. Hope this helped, Good Luck and Happy Holidays!

  109. Rich, #2116, Thank you so much! I didn’t know that about the magnets, so thank you for that, too! Adam will be so excited! I hope you have a wonderful holiday. 🙂

  110. #1835 Esperanza, I took it as $60 total per child, if your list included items like coats or socks. It seems pretty fair that way. I put a lot of thought into our little list and tried to get a good mix of items that my girls needed and could enjoy on Christmas morning. It saddens me that people would manipulate a beautiful cause such as this! The abuse of other’s generosity and love is despicable to say the least.

I hope angels will visit our links and bless us this holiday season!

    Still Thankful,

  112. Best Friend #1661, aaah The Bad Guys! Your best friend’s kids have good taste. 🙂 The Mad Libs book is currently out of stock but should arrive around 12/18. I hope you all have a good holiday. <3

  113. Good evening y’all,

Let me start off by saying this is truly amazing! I am a single dad with my beautiful little 6 month old girl Alexis. Her mother ran out on us and chose drugs over us, so I’m still learning all the daddy stuff and it’s hard! We are pretty tight since I pretty much work to pay for daycare and formula but we’re making it work. I could really use a little help with a box of diapers and palossibly a learning toy that I have selected. Thank you so much for your time and consideration in advance. God Bless

Hi. I don’t ever ask for anything in life. God always seems to provide enough, however, this year I was blessed with three beautiful grand babies and also have one that is 3 years old. Mamma and dad to baby girl are missing a lot of work because my granddaughter has a tumor on her head that needs constant monitoring and surgery next month, Daddy number 2 just started a new job and is barely scraping by with his toddler girl. Daddy number 3 was just laid off and mamma is still on unpaid maternity leave, and mamma number 4 is struggling to support her baby girl without daddy in the picture and we all have felt the blow this year! I, myself have had my hours at work cut in half due to “the season” so I am barely making ends meet. Right now, surviving has become a priority over toys and things for Christmas, so, anything would help! Thanks for listening… Michelle https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/25YZ5E7IEQAKK?&sort=default

  115. Christina Segundo. You did this last year as well, posing as yourself and others. I watched, other people watched your lists as you deleted items that were purchased and added more, and as new posts sprung up from another identity. And people kept buying. They bought a lot. It was heart-wrenching to see greed in the middle of all this beautiful generosity and goodwill, but I wrote Jenny and she told me not to let it get me down. She reminded me that the good is overwhelming. And I’m going to go with that, but not before asking you, in the name of all that is good, to please stop. I, like others, saw that the Bryanna account is attached to your name. Further, by saying that you saw an address, you outed yourself. Addresses are only shown to account holders.

Being a single mom is hard. Having a broken or non-existent relationship with the fathers of your kids is hard. People will understand that and Jenny’s tribe will empathize. Just be honest. Take the good gifts your children have been given, say thank you, and be gracious rather than dishonest. Please.

  116. Jennifer, your heartfelt gratitude is most welcome. Please do not feel ashamed. Most of us have experienced difficult times at some point in our lives and for those of us who want to be self sufficient it can be embarrassing to ask for a little help. I know because I’ve been there. And I wouldn’t be where I am today without the help of many kind souls.

I think that forces beyond our control play a huge part in determining where we are at any given point in time. Of the billions of people on this planet, I’m sure there are a few billion who have worked harder than me or are smarter than me but they find themselves in more difficult situations. And even if we look back on our lives and see that we’ve made some bad choices, we have to accept that 1) we are human, and 2) we can’t foresee with perfect clarity where any given decision will lead us.

I guess what I am trying to say that that we all need each other and most of us know that joy is created both when we reach out to help others but also when we allow others to help us. Love your babies and help them become kind and charitable people and you will have repaid the love you have received many times over.

  117. Unlikely Story #2135, you are most welcome. Children are the best and Adam is lucky to have such a thoughtful mom.

  118. I outed myself by putting an address? I never put an address I said it shows river oaks,tx ..everyone can see the city and zip which is not even the city I live in.think of me what you will again I will be sending everything back to the senders.

  119. Family of four, having a rough end of the year. I am sufferi g with a concussion,I got when being hit by another driver a couple of months ago.I havent been able to work, luckly enough my fiance works 60+hours a week to pay our monthly bill. But christmas is not going to be possible with out asking for help. Our kids- Son(4yrs old) loves art and anything boy. My daughter is 23months her birthday is dec.27th. She enjoys music, art, and really needs hats and clothes for winter. I am on break from university of Phoenix,I am only one year from graduating, but I am in dire need of a new computer. My computer crashes daily, and tends to make it very hard to finish assignments.
Thank you from my little family.

  121. Hello!
First off I to thank you, this is an amazing thing you are doing! My husband is a disabled vet, but is thankfully still able to work, but it keeps him away from home for weeks at a time. We have 2 beautiful children, a daughter almost 6, and a 4 year old son. We are still struggling to get our bearings after moving across the country again, and would appreciate a little help this Christmas. Thank you!!!

  123. Reposting with a name since it seems Anymous is overlooked by what people are saying. Im just looking for a little help for my little girl and her littme brother. They’d love anything under the tree. I havs some car toys posted for him and a cooking kit for as well as some clothing that she so needs. I’m not sure anyone is able to help anymore. But on the off chance. Thank you. Hi. Check out this list: https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/2SBT4V2QU6ZY5

  124. I am pretty late to the party, but my sister called and told me about this today, so I am going to give it a go. My name is Eric I was laid off a few months ago and things have been tough. My wife and I have 4 children (14, 11, 9, and 8). Right now we are depending on her income, not only has she been putting in extra hours, but she is in school as well. I know we are both stressing about Christmas, but I know my wife is stressing pretty hard. I made a list, only put three things down for each. Any help would be great. Thank you and God Bless.

  126. Christina Segundo Hernandez (Pena, Jarvis) — here is the screenshot that strangers to your Bryanna account see. No city, no zip, but clearly your name. This will be the last I say on it. I truly do hope that your heart is touched this Christmas.

  127. I hope so much that I am not too late for this. My husband was in a work accident almost six years ago — a car came through the building and hit him — inside — and initially the prognosis was good, but he never did get better. Work comp ran out and he tried for other benefits. We have been approved but the paperwork isn’t moving in time for Christmas. Our house is in foreclosure, we have a ton of medical bills, and this will be the third year I am really skimping on Christmas for our four kids (10, 16, 16 and 17). Anything helps and I’m so grateful for this post! It’s embarrassing to need help, but there comes a point where you suck it up and do it for your kids. <3

  128. Rich, thank you. I was the lucky one. I know all moms probably feel this way, but my son is really a wonder. He’s sensitive but logical in his own quirky, four (soon to be five) year old way. He’s the kind of boy that if I played the Jimmy Kimmel Halloween prank on him would say, “Are you ok? Doesn’t your belly hurt?” I hope he always stays this sweet. He’s the light of my life.
Thank you again. His Christmas is going to be great! 🙂

  129. Reposting and hoping.
Thank you so much. Each child will have 3 wonderful gifts to open and dad will have a new shirt (1 st new clothing in years for him) and a pair of warm gloves. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! If anyone is still looking on here a few gifts are left on lists. Also I despise this part but I have no pants for winter without holes in them. I put 2 pair on mom and dad list. Thank you all again, not just for helping our family, but for helping so very many!

    Original post #1298

First I would like to thank you for all that you do. I have three special needs children. Most weeks we don’t know where food is coming from and I don’t know how to do Christmas without help. I appreciate anything and everything. This tribe is amazing

Much love to all! Merry Christmas

  130. Thank you to whoever the angel or angels that started getting stuff for Megan off the wish list. I am in tears and know she will have a good Christmas this year. I was so worried she would go to school and everyone talking about what they got for Christmas and she would have nothing to say. God bless yall and I hope to be on the giving end next year. This 13 year old with have a smile on her face for Christmas and that’s all I could ask for. You have also restored hope to her father who thought it couldn’t be possible. Words can not express how much we appreciate this.

  131. My son use to do some boutique modeling now with this family. I’m pisting what the mom wrote on her page. Maybe a few here can help. They have very inexpensive items.

“We aren’t in need of anything this Christmas but maybe some healing prayers. We have everything we need in each other. BUT I’ve had quite a few people ask me to share this again. The kids didn’t ask for anything this year which makes my heart so happy, but they deserve a day to simply worry about being a kid…..this is a list we made of things we know they’d love to have. Once it’s purchased it disappears off the list. 💜

Thank you to everyone who continues to love our family. It’s been a long year with 5 Brain/Spine Surgeries, Bone and Hardware Infections, and Numerous Complications. Next year we will do it all again with Zavrick. But because of our friends we’ve felt loved the entire time. We are truly blessed. 💜“

(Looks like you have a ton of good stuff headed your way! Jenny)

  132. As Day 4 ends, I want to talk to the folks who are struggling to give their kids a good Christmas. It’s going to be okay. It really is. We all want our kids to have the best of everything, but not only is that unnecessary, it’s not good for them in the long run. They have what they REALLY need – someone who loves them so much that their hearts hurt at the thought of not having packages under the tree.

What I want to say is this: you’re doing good. That’s not a grammatical error. You are doing good things by being in the life of this child. I grew up poor. I knew we didn’t have a ton of extra money, and some years my mom lost sleep because she thought that what she bought us was not enough, that we were going to be disappointed. But it’s funny. Thinking back, the Christmas’s my mom talks about that were the slimmest were, in the eyes of myself and my sister, the most magical. We didn’t notice that we didn’t have a dozen presents to open. All we knew was that Santa had brought us something so perfect for us that we couldn’t stop smiling. I remember the lights on the tree, the strands of “popcorn” on the tree that were actually foam packing peanuts (take THAT, Pinterest!), the silver-blue star that was tarnished but was the most beautiful thing in the world. I remember that my mom played games with us at Christmas, that we watched TV together, that we had cider sometimes as a big treat. I remember the Christmas songs played on the 8-track player that was long out-of-date.

So even if you aren’t able to give a lot of stuff, you give them what matters – you. You’ve got this, Mom/Dad/Grandma/Grandpa/Next-door Neighbor/Auntie/Uncle. You’re doing good, just by being there, just by showing up and loving these kids.

Always remember that you are #notalone. If you need to connect with another adult, maybe someone who is going through the same challenges or who has been there, or who will listen, come find us on Twitter. Just search the hashtag #BloggessTribe as a start. We’re here for you long after Christmas is over.

    Hugs and candycanes, sweet friends.

    (Amen. Times 1000. ~ Jenny)

  133. Lauren, thank you so much for the headbands, pj’s and book! Im sure she will love them! The cat headbands are an everyday accessory for her, and hers were getting quite worn, so to see some come from Santa and not have to wear the ones losing fuzz anymore will make her day! She is learning to read and loves pete the cat, we have read many of her stories so im sure this one will be a hit too, we will make it a bedtime story in her new pj’s 🙂

    Thank you and Merry Christmas

  134. Reposting with my name from original post 2152!!

    Hello!
First off I want to say thank you, this is an amazing thing you are doing!

  135. To 2166 becomingcliche, your post had me in tears. Then I went to check my wish list, and every item was purchased. Within 30 minutes of my posting it. I am bawling. I know the people here are generous and (generally) kind, but this has really fucking rocked my world. Thank you all, from me and my kiddos.

  136. I just got home from work and I am blown away. My sisters lists have been emptied by the Saint James Garfield elves. Thank you so much, I do my best to do right by my sisters, and it makes me so happy to know that they’ll have presents to open under the tree! I am so hoping that we are in a position to pay it forward next year and we will definitely be back to do so!

  137. Thank you to those who bought cards for the board game for my kids and I to play on Christmas! They are going to flip when they see there are new cards and questions for them to discover! There is one more pack that I’d love to surprise them with if anyone would be so inclined. Again, despite the game’s title, it is a family-friendly trivia game!

  138. To 2166 your post was amazing it had me wanting to cry!
I keep telling myself its not just about what I can get for my children this year but its about the memories we make with them that they can look back on. the hype for Christmas has turned into this awful mess of who gets the most and best gifts and that’s definitely not what its truely about
yes I want to be able to get my kids what they are asking for more then anything and we are having it rough this year that’s one reason I’m here tryin to get a little help in doin that.
I want to see their beautiful faces light up with joy when they see Santa came
I want them to feel the Magic of Santa bringing them what they have TRIED to be so good to get lol
    BUT…also
Especially now as I’m an adult I know
20 years from now when they know Santa isn’t real
The harsh realities of how stressful Christmas is hit them (and it shouldn’t be that way but it is)
They WONT remember what toys they got or what they ask for and if they got it or not
    BUT…
They WILL remember going to see the Christmas lights together
Snuggling up and watching Christmas movies
    Making cookies with mommy
For my oldest son the Christmas cards I’ve even considered buying a box and putting them in the mailbox so he thinks someone sent them to him cause he’s wanting to get some. I guess the joy of getting mail..I still get excited about mail lol except bills ofcourse
I want me kids to look back and remember the time spent together and feel the love their father and I have for them and love Christmas for that reason
I do still also want them to have what they ask for tho lol
BEING AN ADULT AT CHRISTMAS KINDA SUCKS lol jk
I’m tryin to teach them what Christmas is all about and I’ll always make sure they kno the true meaning but at the same time they are kids and they want presents and they expect to get what they ask Santa for if they are good and boy they are definitely laying it on thick the older they get and the closer to Christmas it gets!!
I just wanted to he my feelings and thoughts out there this seems like a good safe place to vent

I hope everyone of you have a magical safe and loving Christmas!

I’m jot sure if I’m required to post this but I see most everyone else doing it when they post more then one comment my orginial post number is 2076

  139. Jenni, I cannot thank you enough for creating the James Garfield Miracle. All of your hard work is so much appreciated. I know how difficult it is to live with anxiety and depression as they run in my family. My two oldest daughters, my father, and I are all receiving treatment and medication. My husband self-medicates with alcohol–he’s a functioning alcoholic, but after losing his job in August he has not been doing great. No insurance, so I am limited to what I can do to help. I have been stressing so much about Christmas this year and I am so grateful that each of my five daughters have received a gift through your list. They will all be so happy when they open the gifts.I am so grateful for you. Not just for what you do every Christmas, but for how you share your struggles and amazing stories every day. I look forward to reading them. You make me laugh and cry and feel better about myself. Thank you for being you.

And to the people who sent gifts to my girls, I haven’t received anything just yet so I can’t thank you personally, but I appreciate your generosity more than I can say. Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah/or whatever you may celebrate. Sending you all big hugs from North Carolina. May 2018 be a better year for everyone.

  140. Hi, I am poster # 1542 , I was told that my list may have been overlooked due to how many items and the costs of them. Jenny did purchase a 6 pack of socks, which I had quantity of 2 and I had changed it to one. I have taken a lot of items off and hope this is much better. I am in desperate need of help this year and it was so hard for me to pick and find items within the cost range because my 2 boys are in the need of the most, especially clothing. I have deleted the items I think they could part . I appreciate all help and any help that can be given this year. I have had a rough year and just want to see some happiness this year. I changed the clothes to what my oldest needs which is a coat and hoody and 2 video games, although he does need more I realize he needs a coat and a hoody the most. I did not see how it is perceived by others with the clothing as I did which was different choices and prices. I apologize for my error and hope that I can still receive help for my 3 children this year. Thank you all for reading, Merry Christmas and thank you in advance for any help. Here is my revised list link http://a.co/bhyJycC

    Thank you , Rachel

  141. Thank you Jenny for getting my son a pack of socks, he really needs them. I revised my list and noted in my post that I had as well. I did mention you had purchased socks which I had the quantity as 2 and changed to 1. I really appreciate your help and words on why I may have been over looked. Merry Christmas to you and your and all here !

    Thank you, Rachel #1542

  142. Hi there! I was referred to this site from someone who it helped quite tremendously. My family and I are going through a financial emergency that has left us having to go through a GoFundMe just to keep our place to live and our lights on. I came from a very abusive relationship that left my children and I mentally and physically broken. My ex husband and I had split up but I didn’t have anywhere to go and was left to stay there in the same house as him. I eventually met someone who made me and my children very happy and my ex began to get angry and very physical with my children and I. I was scared for our lives and needed somewhere to go. One day it all blew up and my ex assaulted my son and I and he was arrested, allowing us to leave but we were without a place and left homeless and without anything at all. My kids and I found a place that let us move in but a month later, my boyfriend lost his job very suddenly and unexpectedly and we’re now having to scramble to make rent and the utilities, leaving it next to impossible to get my kids Christmas presents. It’s difficult to finally be free from a very abusive relationship and in one that not only leaves me very happy but one that makes my kids feel respected and loved, just to be stressed out and crying over worrying that we’ll lose our house this month. My boyfriend has a job lined up that begins next month, one that will change everything for the good, but it’s December that is leaving us having to come to terms with the possibility that it will be the first Christmas where we might have to skip presents for my kids.

It’s embarrassing to say the least and adding on the fact that our children will most likely not be able to get Christmas presents due to the very unexpected situation, we were told to come here. Thank you for reading this and thank you for everything that has been done for others as well.

This was a basic list my kids and I had made. Thank you again for your time.

  143. Talia, you’re right, when they get older the things they will remember most are the time you spent together, not the toys they received. But that still doesn’t make it any easier to explain to the young ones why Santa couldn’t bring anything this year. I wish no parent was in that position.

It’s day 4 and my Christmas magic is almost spent, but if there are one or two things on your list that could be shared I’d like them to have something (I thought maybe the play doh or shark game would be easy to share with all ages). I’d also be happy to mail a few cards, I still love receiving special mail too 🙂

  144. Karen One-of-Santa’s-Many-Elves

I’m absolutely in love with your responses. And when I read the reason you help, i cried again. Bless you beautiful soul.

My mom(Kat Lovell-Pejic) commented up further a huge thank you. She’s the one who pointed me in this direction when she knew how much we are struggling. And she’s been my support with everything. I love that woman .

Also, I love your amazing Christmas spirit. You, (and the reindeer! ) are fantastic!

  145. A quick message for Rachel @ rachelpoo81, posts 1542 and 1983…
You’re not forgotten. I think Jenny was right – sometimes it’s hard to unpick one big list. As a gifter, I find separate lists for each kid easier to manage. Or a list with clear names/ages in the comments, so you know that you’ve got one gift for each…

Anyhoo, your youngest now has pj’s coming, your middle has a t-shirt and your eldest has a pair of leggings.

Merry Christmas to you and yours! BeffyDee xxx

  146. A message for simplydab / Donna, post 1267:

I got the big pack of Playdoh and some cutters for your kids I thought that would be a nice thing for them to play with together…

    Merry Christmas, cherubs! BeffyDee x

  147. Anonymous. It’s wonderful that you’ve helped families out I truely can’t wait til I’m in a position where I can help my family plus others this time of year! I always give when I can what I can but usually not around this time of year sadly! I completely understand if you cannot get anything off their list! I honestly won’t be upset if nothing was received ofcourse if it was fulfilled I’d be ecstatic but if its not ment to be its not..if I’m making sense with what I’m trying to say lol I have kids running around me lol. But yes! A lot of the things on their list is stuff they all wanted like the game and playdoh and the girls wanted the shopping stuff and the hatchimals..all the girls stuff lol it was hard to do that for the boys cause of the age difference but HONESTLY anything would be incredible.thank you for even reading my post! Merry Christmas!!

  148. Kristy, post 555 / 1574:

I bought you guys the Emoji movie – I thought it’d be good to have a film ready to go for some downtime at Christmas…

Hope you enjoy! Merry Crimbo, BeffyDee xx

  149. J. Alexander (#819) – Gift cards for each child along with the clothes are coming your way in a couple of shipments. Merry Christmas!

  150. Original poster of #115. Thank you so much to my Santas!!! They boys are going to be so excited!!!! I did delete my wishlist as the last 2 items were unavailable. I just want to say THANK YOU!!!!! God bless you!!!!! May your Christmas be as enjoyable as my family’s thanks to the generosity of you guys!!!!

  151. Sarah Little, post 1287.

I got you three packs of crayons and emptied your list. Hazaa!
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas.

    With love, BeffyDee xx

  152. It was brought to my attention by the person that told me about this site. I need to clarify somethings. Megan that is 13 is in a size 18 woman’s jeans she is over weight and the jacket that is on the list is the size that will fit her. I know that some things say the 9th on my list and some say the 10th a originally had other items on the list that we’re a bit more money but what at the required amount. So I went and found cheaper things so that maybe more people would be inclined to help. The perfume and makeup on there is for her. I give her my makeup all the time that I don’t use but it’s not new and I just want her to have something that’s hers and wasn’t used before she gets it same thing with the perfume she never complains about used items but for once I wanted her to be the one to use it first. And then the items on there for roselynn is my daughter and although they are not books she is only 2 months old but I wanted to choose toys that she could still learn with. And the other items are jackets and warm clothes that she needs and shoes.she is always just in socks and I wanted stuff for her feet for her to be warmer thanks and God bless

  153. To clarify somethings Megan is only 13 but is overweight the jacket is for her in her size.the other items is hers as well basic things teeangers want makeup and perfume. And the baby items are for my daughter all though they are not books they are learning toys so I can work with her and teach her only being 2 months. And the jacket warm clothes and shoes are things that she needs that I am lacking I choose those sizes so she will be able to use them for a little while. Also I know some items say the 9th and some the 10th I did have other items on there but I changed them today to cheaper items so maybe more people would want to help. But thanks to whoever already started taking things off the list.god bless

  154. Amazon contacted me that some of the things I ordered cannot be delivered. I think they left a note and will try again. I hope it all works out because I am not sure what to do.

(That happens. Usually they try to redeliver or leave it on the porch or with a neighbor. It usually works out in the end. ~ Jenny)

  155. I currently have custody of my grandchildren of my four grandkids and any help you can provide would be much appreciated. Anything will help. It has been a very big struggle this year and things are not looking up. Thank you for any help you can give. They will all be thrilled if they each get aomething new this year! I told them not to go wild. It looks like they’re picking out sensible things. Luckily, they’re all the same size intop and coats, so if they don’t all get what they picked, they can share my niece told me about this project, so I’m hoping someone can help in some small way. Thank you, and Bless every one of you.

**Update, three of the four have been bought for, and for that, I will be forever grateful. I still have one left and I’m trying to find ways to make money to buy them for her in case this doesn’t come through, but in case there’s any more goodwill left out there, I wanted to send out this request again. You guys are amazing. Thank you for all you’ve done up to this point.

Erica age 16, her toys are her tennis shoes. She said that she doesn’t need any toys or anything like that. All she needs are a pair of earmuffs, and a new pair of tennis shoes. She has added them onto her list.

  156. Talia: play doh, shark game, and shopping g set are on the way. The shark game is out of stock but should arrive on the 20th, the other 2 on Wednesday. I hope these will help relieve some of the holiday stress and make even more happy family memories playing together.

I’ll get some cards in the mail this week 🙂

  157. Thank you so much anonymous! It definitly does! And for the cards thank you! They will probably enjoy that more than anything!

  158. Good Evening!
I posted the other day and wanted to try one last time. I have three wonderful and helpful teens looking for some Holiday cheer. My oldest has received one gift, my teenage daughter has 1 and her twin sister has two, I would love to see if I could get them evened out and each kid has two things to open on Christmas. They will also get a stocking I managed to get a few sweets to put in them for them.

    My original post:

I am in need of a little help for my three teens. My oldest is a boy who is seventeen, he is looking forward to finishing high school so he can go on and get a degree he would like to work in the healthcare field. My youngest are twin girls who are both fourteen they share similar interests but are also opposites, one is very girly and the other is a tom boy. The girly girl would like a cardigan so she doens’t always have to wear her bulky jacket, and the tom boy has been having neck pains from her lumpy pillow so she asked for a new one. I also added one or two other needs or wants everything is pretty basic likes clothing and a want. This year has been rough because I had my hours cut at work. Earlier this year my kids grandmother passed away which was heart crushing for them because they spent a lot of time with her when they were kids because I worked so much to support them due to their father being absent in their lives they were always with her, they are all a little sad this will be the first year without her. Traditionally we would always go over to her house and bake tons of cookies, the entire kitchen would be full of goodies and baked goods and we would box them up and give them to everyone, we are still going to bake some cookies together but it won’t be like it normally is we will only be able to make them for us instead of giving them to people we know and I know the kids will miss her. If anyone could help make their Christmas I would be forever grateful. I have put together a wishlist for them as instructed, I think it went just a little over I tried looking for cheaper things but teens are hard to shop for. List: http://a.co/5TczufL Thank you in advanced to anyone who helps us out this website is amazing.

  159. Alexandra Mayo, post 2178
You’ll have new slippers for all six kids at least… Toasty toes are always good.
Merry Christmas. Sent with love xx

  160. Hi again, I just received an email from Sarah asking me to add a few necessity and food items to my list, along with a gift for my husband and myself and repost it. So I have done that and here is the list one last time http://a.co/iwA96M7 Thanks again, so much for everything, everybody. 🎅🎄💙

  161. Renee, post 2192
Erica now has earmuffs at least!
Merry Christmas! Love form BeffyDee xx

  162. Feeling bittersweet about this project right now, please help restore my faith in humanity. My sister in law / bf saw a FB post that linked to this page. She mentioned it to me and I convinced her to do it with me for the sake of our children’s Christmas. She was hesitant to ask for any help at all but I convinced her it was a sign from her husband and her family deserved the help and told her it would make their 1st Christmas easier. reluctantly she agreed, but only if I did with her. Our kids are very close and it just wouldn’t be fair I’d Santa came for only one of our familys.

She was concerned her children would find out if she used their home computer so we did it on my husband’s work laptop Friday night and used my husband’s Amazon acct to keep any of our kids from discovering our plans and getting their hopes up. My husband’s work frequently sends packages to our home so to avoid any suspicion we would have all packages delivered to my home and once they all arrived we would sort and wrap them together… we made our post and said a prayer.

When checked the list today #1546 I was so happy…. My family received a Christmas Miracle I was ecstatic… I was about to call Mica to tell her the amazing news, but when I clicked on her list all of my joy turned to heartbreak. Only 1 book had been purchased from her list # 1564. please you chose the wrong family.

My Kids lost their uncle but their cousins lost a parent. She already lost her husband and and my nieces and nephews lost there Father. I was shocked as to how this had happened and I can’t bring myself to tell her the truth. I am praying that this post is not to late.

After reading through some of the comments I realize our mistake in mentioning the shared amazon acct may have led some of you to wrongly assume I was being greedy and deceptive. Please forgive me for my oversight. I hope it is not to late to help her family. Honestly I would rather return everything purchased for my family and instead give her children a Christmas… We still have a father.

I am reposting the link to her family’s list below and am hopeful that her family will receive atleast a few of the gifts on the list.

In the spirit of Christmas and to be completely transparent 2 of the gifts are slightly over the 40 limit the 1st is a the Elegoo UNO starter kit, there is a less expensive starter kit (which I also have on her list) but it is out of stock and not expected to ship til after Christmas. Her oldest son (15) asked for this for his birthday last year, but when they lost their father 2 weeks before his birthday it just didn’t happen.

the leap frog learn to read system is 45 and is for my 8 year old niece whose struggles with reading. I picked this one hoping it would boost her confidence and give her the extra help she needs learning to read

Nearly everything on her list is educational and stem or creativity related to enhance their homeschool.

this is the link from her original comment # 1564.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/1P7E80UH36876

(Looks like they have quite a few things coming their way. The less expensive starter kit came available before Xmas so I just sent it so you can take the other one off your list. 🙂 ~ Jenny)

  163. To everyone that I’ve sent Reindeer to…you’re so very welcome!

To the rest that are worried that their lists are overlooked, please be patient and have faith. You may not get everything but based on the number of Elves and Reindeer running amok here, we’re doing our best to get your loved ones something.

Also, please remember that there is not an expiration date for giving and receiving. I get paid later this week so I plan to load up more Reindeer 😊 And again the week of Christmas SO you may need to explain to your loved one that Rudolph got horribly lost because his hooves can’t work a smartphone so he was without GPS ☺️😁

Also I have some reinforcements helping me as well. My phone texts me every time Amazon makes a delivery and yesterday and today my poor phone went berserk LOL annnd my boyfriend wanted to know who all the deliveries were for…

Him: what are you buying and for whom?!?

Me: umm toys, boots, coats, diapers from Amazon wish lists for kids for Christmas

Him: diapers? do you even know these people?

    Me: nope…complete strangers

Him: complete strangers? I see and where do they live?

Me: Ohhh all over…Texas, Pennsylvania, Akron… various states…kinda lost track.

Him: Really? And you don’t know any of them?

Me: nope…oh and by the way, your Christmas gift from me this year went to some really great kids in Du Bois

    Him: (stunned silence)

Me: their mom sent me an awesome picture of the kids sitting on Santa’s lap. Wanna see it?

    Him: sure

So he looks at the smiling kids and then tells me to send my Christmas gift from him to someone so I did 😊 Merry Christmas, Me. It was the bestest present from him EVER that I never got 😀❤️ (One of the many reasons I love him so much 😍)

Also my Dad wants in…he’s sending me some money this week to load up more Reindeer as well.

It’s like James Garfield the Boar says, “It’s getting all kinds of festive in here, ya’ll” 🎄❤️🎁

    (Beautifully said. ~ Jenny)

  164. Thank you so much beffydee ! I am very grateful and wish I did separate lists, I think I will go back and comment on the items , some I did but deleted trying to downsize my list. I am happy to know at least each of my children have clothing coming, which is really needed the most with the cold now approaching. Thank you so much and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas this year! <3

  165. Karen that is simply amazing lol! Your an incredible person and it seems your bf is as well I truely can’t wait til the year I can get on here an help as many people as I can!!<3

  166. Not sure if my post was overlooked (#1606). I did have one clothing item for each of my boys, but took them off in case that was thought to be too much. I did still include Christmas pj’s. That’s a tradition we have every year to open pj’s on Christmas Eve, and I would so love to still be able to do that this year. Other than that, they just have 2 things each. So hoping that someone is able to help us give our boys a small Christmas this year.

We have 3 children, a 16 yo, a 22 month old and a 4 month old, all boys. The youngest was a surprise baby. I had some complications during the pregnancy that affected him, and he ended up having to be in the NICU for 3 weeks. Needless to say, the medical bills are pretty substantial, and we are trying to figure out a way to pay them off. Our 22 month old is developmentally delayed (likely due to autism, but can’t definitively test for that as of yet), so he needs speech and behaviour therapy. On top of that, my parents ended up having to move in with us shortly before the baby was born, so we now have 2 extra people to support (though the help with the babies is a blessing). My husband and I both work full time, but we just can’t seem to keep up with the bills and everything needed in day to day life.

Christmas is my favourite holiday, and we usually try to spoil the kiddos, but this year it’s looking like we really won’t be able to get them much of anything. If we can give them just a couple of things, it would be amazing. If anyone is able to help, we would be eternally grateful. Thank you so much for this opportunity. ❤

  167. I received a book for my godson and a plush kitty for my goddaughter today and I look forward to receiving the two truck books for my nephew! I am so very touched by the generosity! I didn’t want my financial situation to prevent me from giving the kids in my life a gift this year and I no longer have to worry about it! Thank you to those who contributed!!! I imagine this means even more for those parents out there who worried that their children wouldn’t have anything to open on Christmas morning. I would love to have one more item for each of the kids in my life, they are so accustomed to being showered with gifts from their auntie/godmommy, I am posting my link one last time just in case anyone would like to contribute. Thank you again to everyone for your generosity towards me and all the other people who asked for help! I love to see so much kindness at work! I am usually the one trying to help others out at Christmastime and it wasn’t easy being on the other end of the equation this year, I’m just so grateful for this chance to make my nephew and godchildren happy this Christmas!!!

  168. Cuddled up watching gummy bear Christmas movie with the kiddos before bedtime. Gosh I love these mean ass kids so much lol I’m truly blessed! Merry. Christmas everyone enjoy the little things while they are still young and want to do them with you!! my oldest is almost 7 he wouldn’t hug me in front of the bus the other day incase someone saw…I was heartbroken lol

  169. We received a book today for my little girl and my heart is full. I can’t thank you enough for your help and generosity. I was feeling like a big loser being unemployed and making my family have such a hard time, especially during the holidays. You folks are good people. Many thanks to you all. I was post #1486.

  170. No bother at all, Rachel (@rachelpoo81). It’s genuinely an honour and a pleasure. <3
    🙂 xxx

  171. Hello. We posted individually but I’m writing to thank you together. There are 8 families that received help. 2 that are keeping their fingers crossed that Santa sees them. We all have stories. Most of us fled domestic violence, one house burned down, and another has been homeless since a teen. We are all in transitional housing from homelessness. We work and go to school via program requirements. We all have very little and Christmas wasnt going to happen… Or so we thought. I read Jennys blog religiously and one of her books has stayed in my bag the entire time. I thought we had to at least tried. Everyone made their lists and posts. So many received help. Because of where we are in life we dont believe till we see it. Today a box came! A pink dumpster! Santa is real! We are hoarding the box in he office. Praying none of the cancelled orders were ours. Tamara and Elizabeth have received no help yet. Hope holds out.
Elizabeth has been homeless since she was sixteen. She is on her feet now and a educational major. She has 2 small children a 4 year old girl and a 2 year old boy. Her wish list is here- Hi. Check out this list: https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/2SBT4V2QU6ZY5
Tamara’s husband left her and her kids high and dry. They lost their home and lived in a hotel for months. She is working in a daycare as a caregiver and graduates this program in May! Her wishlist is- Hi. Check out this list: https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/2GQ3BBJFG0CMJ

If any one can help it would complete our Christmas miracle. Thank you. If you want to contact me my email is hopetennisgirl@gmail.com

  172. It was me, I forgot to add my name Alexandra M 🙂

Thank you so very much BeffyDee. My babies will be so happy!

  173. I am so thankful for the people that purchased a few items from my daughter. Two things she really wanted and one that she really needed. I could never say thank you enough! I don’t want to sound greedy, but I made a list of what my niece and nephew want for my sister. She has had a very rough year with two Little’s ones and a loss of another one last year. I wish I could purchase everything they have ever wanted. I thought it couldn’t hurt to try and get them a few things. Three year old girl, 9 year old boy. They have been through a lot and never ask for anything from anyone. If this is not appropriate I will delete immediately! Thank you so much, this is amazing!

(You don’t have a shipping address assigned for this list. ~ Jenny)

  174. Alicia #1938- I cannot begin to thank you enough. Your purchase means so much, more than I can adequately express. Merry Christmas, and much love in return. ❤️

    Karen One-of-Santa’s-Many-Elves #1951-
Thank you and the reindeer for bringing joy to our home with much needed winter items and fun things to light up the girls. They will be ecstatic, and I am forever thankful.
I do ask that you please check your order. For each thing that you purchased, it says “Quantity 1, Has 2.” I think it may have accidentally doubled your order, and while I appreciate your generosity, I don’t want you to be overcharged, so I understand if you need or want to cancel.

I have been crying off and on for two days. This is amazing, and I just don’t even have words anymore to be able to thank our Santas/miracle makers as much as they deserve. My heart is overflowing.

I hope that Karen, Alicia, and even our anonymous givers have included a way for me to send a thank you and photo of the girls. I know you did not do this to receive thanks, but I want to give it. If you didn’t include it on Amazon, but would be fine with even an email, I can be reached at acsimmons831@yahoo.com.

So you all know, even though we don’t have much, we are planning to pay it forward. We have begun collecting good condition outgrown toys and clothes and messaging people who could use it this holiday season.

I will never, ever forget this.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
    Angie (#1581/1761/1925)

    Jessica Dingler | December 9, 2017 at 3:54 pm
My name is Jessie I have 2 awesome sons, John (13) and Andrew (3). I am a full time student but unfortunately unemployed at the moment and I am struggling to keep food on the table> any help we receive will dearly be appreciated. This gives me hope for humanity. Thanks for your kindness and consideration. 178. I feel as if my wishlist is being overlooked haven’t received anything but I’ve posted another time or two!
Please Help If you can menand my kids would appreciate it and were in desperate need thanks so much!!!

Hi. Check out this list: https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/YS93SNTEG62B

(Looks like a beautiful dollhouse is already on the way! ~ Jenny)

  179. 2219 – maybe it’s because you have several $50 gift cards on your list and a nearly $100 playhouse.

  180. Hi Whitley #2219, Have faith ❤️ Rudolph finally held still long enough for me to get the Dollhouse firmly strapped to his back. He’s really hoping that your children enjoy playing with it. Merry Christmas 🎄🎁

  181. Hi Dana #2218, evidently Comet is all about future scientists because he’s on his way to make your daughter’s Christmas bright 🎄🎁 Merry Christmas

  182. Thank you for helping me get my baby girl some things for Christmas Merry Christmas Rich.!

  183. If there are any elves out there who are still interested my friend just told me about this wish list. A little about us: I have four children, three girls and a boy. The girls are tweens/teens who are into fashion, makeup and hair. I’d like to help them focus on hair rather than makeup so added some new tools to the list. They are great girls and a real help to me around the house. My son is the only boy and the youngest. He loves anything to do with the outdoors. Last summer his uncle took him fishing And he was hooked (lol). I’d love to encourage this outdoor activity. Now if only my girls would want to still play outside! Thank you for taking a look at the list. Anything would help. I don’t think the kids expect much under the tree after we had to leave our home and move in with my mom. I am doing my best to shield them and this would go away toward helping with that. Thank you. Jules

  184. John #2206, I found Cupid in the corner playing with a school bus and reading several books 📚 Silly Reindeer. He’s on his way to you. Merry Christmas 🎁🎄

  185. Its been rough this past year being homeless single mother to my beautiful 2yr old daughter Evangelyen.. Things are slowly starting to get brighter with a roof over our head no job yet so no income feeling down just wanted my baby to at least have 1 present for Christmas this year so i would be beyond extremely grateful for the help anyone can do …happy holidays

  186. Haha Karen One-of-Santa’s-Many-Elves, i find now did myself wishing i had money, not to buy my own kids stuff, but to help find the reindeer and the elves. 😉 also, this post and these comments have cheered me up so much, i managed to put enough things together to make cookies for the kids. 😉

  187. I posted my lists for my children a few hours ago but i don’t see the post. Should i repost or wait?

(Note from Jenny: Actually, it was in moderation because it had more than six link on it so I’m posting it again here and I’ve sent a gift for each child. Original comment: )

:I was trying to hold off to see if things in our world turned around. But alas they didn’t. My husband is a US Veteran and has just gone back to work outside the military and we found out he has to have surgery this Thursday and next Tuesday, so he will be out of work for the duration of the holiday season with no paycheck. Our year has been quite a roller coaster, I have been fighting cancer for a year and we found out our daughter is partially deaf. But this year we found out that she also is Autistic. She is such a wonderful child she makes me smile when i just don’t think i even have it in me. Our five year old that has Cerebral Palsy has been being bullied at school, this is very tough situation for me because all you want to do as a parent is protect your children and all i want to to is pull him out of school. All of our 6 children are wonderful kids and I love them all very much. But I know I came in late but if you can find it in your hearts to get my children their christmas I would be eternally grateful.

If not its certainly OK but I want to know myself I tried again for him!! Also they would still love to receive Christmas cards!!! It really makes me feel great seeing all you elves and helpers on here I just wish I was in a position this year to be on the helping side merry.Christmas!

Leaving carrots out for them. And maybe some apples. 😉 my 5 littles all love to make sure the reindeer are fed. Well, 4 do. The youngest one hasn’t gotten that privilege yet.

    You are super fantastic!

  191. Talia please don’t post your address. You’re a mother, anyone can see this. Kim, delivery was attempted twice.

  192. M I honestly didn’t even consider the consequences it could cause if anyone harmful saw it. Guess I’m too trusting of people lol but it’s my parents address and I did ask their premision to use it on here and for my wish list address cause I have a p.o. box and wasn’t sure if you could use that on Amazon but now thinking about it it would of been best to have atleast used it for the request of Christmas cards. I’m sorry

  193. Gotcha, not trying to be a downer, but that scared me. Glad to know it’s someone else. Stay safe and happy holidays!

  194. Little ones are so looking forward to Santa coming and there are not the funds to provide. Girl 7 loves crafts Boy 4 loves to build.

  195. I was #2157. Just wanted to make sure i did this right the first time.

  196. Hi all! I have no idea if there is still time for help or if any help is still available but I recently found out about this wonderful group. My husband and I are struggling this holiday season. We’re doing the best we can with our bills financially but since our entire pay is put towards keeping a reliable car up for our children, food to eat and keeping a roof over their heads we’ve had nothing extra to spend on them this holiday season. It’s the first time we’ve been in this position. I know that gifts aren’t the reason for the season, but it would bring such a joy to see my kids with a present under the tree. We have two boys, a 7 year old and a 2 year old. Thank you so much for reading this. I truly hope and pray that next year we can pay it forward and help someone else in our position now.

  197. Your no downer m lol like I said I didnt even consider it until you said something so thank you! There are no children at my parents house but its still my parents and I’d never forgive myself if anything happen but I also know I’d feel more sorry for anyone that did try to lol merry Christmas!!!

  198. GAH!!! I’m way late to the party but hoping there is still time to put this out there. I am a single mother of a wonderful, brilliant, loving, hilarious 7 year old boy for whom I will never be able to give everything he deserves because he deserves the world. Between keeping food on the table, a roof over our heads and clothes on our backs there is rarely anything left over and I would be eternally grateful to anyone who’d be willing to help us out this year. Thank you to Jenny for doing this! This is a wonderful lifeline for those of us in need during this time of year and a beautiful reminder of the love, decency, generosity and compassion possessed by humans in general and THIS TRIBE specifically, which I think we all need! XOXO, love to all of you!!!

P.S. By son’s name is Bo and this is a link to his wish list on Amazon.

I was originally post 1503 so not too late to the game lol. May just be God’s way of telling me there are children out there who need it more than mine.

  202. 2052/2125 – Tried to pick up a few things for you, but there’s no shipping address on your wish list. If you can edit that and then repost, I’ll try again!

  203. I got bored so I have been reading through all the posts ! Do you guys know how many lists are empty ? As in presents bought ? How many kids are going to have a Christmas because of this tribe ? This is so mind blowing ! There are a few lists that caught my eye but I am not posting links. I am not endorsing them in anyway. If you want to look the numbers are :
1278 (14yr old is just getting a lapel pin)
    1307 ( 1 gift per child)
1277 ( 8 kids, some with gifts, some not)
    1303 (baby has one gift)
Saddest one though is 764. Even Jenny had commented on that one. There is no address. Wish there was a way to contact her !
But like I said , not endorsing them. Just noticed things (dates haven’t changed and things haven’t been added since the posts)
But it is still mind blowing ! Anyone else get bored, and see anymore ?

  204. Rebecca 2255 – wipes, socks and a play set should be arriving shortly. I didn’t see much listed for your older daughter. Is there anything you want to add for her? I’d love to send a second package! <3

  205. Lisa #2252 – Just picked up the three items at the top of AJ’s wishlist. I hope your little artist enjoys! Here’s to a Merry Christmas for both of you! <3

  206. Good evening and Merry Christmas! I have three kids that I made a list for. Followed the guidelines and stayed within budget for each child. I did add one food treat for my lactose intolerant kiddo who really misses sweets. They are usually out of my budget but would make her Christmas morning.

Thank you for doing this. Never in a million years would I have thought I would need to ask. What you are doing here Jenny is such a blessing, and makes me feel less alone in my struggles.

I picked up a few things, hopefully someone else can help with the rest, I hope your family has a blessed holiday and that things pick up for you in 2018!

  208. EDIT Tamara has 2 things left on her list but Elizabeth has had nothing sponsored for kiddos.

(Elizabeth’s list doesn’t have an address assigned to it yet. 🙂 ~ Jenny)

  209. First of all I apologize if I sounded ungrateful in my last post # 2199 & 1546. I’ve spent the last 2 hours reading over all the comments and am amazed by the generosity of everyone, so many familys have been helped and hundreds of Christmas Miracles performed. Please accept my sincerest apologies for being harsh.

I truly am overjoyed for the anonymous elf #1551 that selflessly donated a Christmas for my children. I didn’t realize how quickly you acted til I read over all the posts. you purchased everything in less than ten minutes of my post. simply Amazing. before Mica even posted her list I wish there was someway I could return the favor.

I was overwhelmed with guilt to have received such a wonderful gift while my sister’s family was all but overlooked. After sometime to reflect on the situation I realize that I should have been more patient. I will wait and see what happens. Life is full of twists and turns and they all serve a purpose.

I will not be sending anything back but will instead pay it forward by donating our gifts to her family. thank you so much for this opportunity and

    Merry Christmas to all.

  210. I think my comment got lost…

I am in need of a little bit of help this year, my fiance and I have 5 kids combined in our wonderful blended family. We hit a rough patch and he just started his job, we have been living off of his retirement check from the VA for the last two years and Christmas has always been a struggle. We have an 11yr old girl, a 9 yr old boy, a 6 yr old girl, a 4 ur old boy, and we just added a beautiful baby girl to the mix on 11/02/2017 much to our surprise and joy which is why you’ll find wipes and clothes on the list. Thank you for helping here is our list http://www.amazon.com/registry/wishlist/13Q5QVBUXSCRE

  211. Hi giftees, a couple of people have posted that they haven’t gotten anything, but when I check the lists there are things that have been purchased. If you’re looking for them to disappear from your list rather than checking by the “purchased” filter, you might want to go to “List Settings” on the right side of the page and check your “Surprise/Spoilers” settings. If I remember this right, it’s set to “don’t spoil my surprise” by default, so things remain on your list even when purchased.

To the gifters….you are all so awesome! (Hug to you, Rich!) Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

  212. Tess #1561, 2199 and 2267- Five books and the board game set are enroute to Mica now. I admire any child who wants to learn backgammon! Please don’t feel guilty for voicing your concern for your sister’s family. The holidays are a stressful time for all of us. I hope knowing that all the kids will have things to open on Christmas morning will renew your faith in Jenny’s Army and in the magic of James Garfield’s Miracles. Love to you and your family. <3

  213. I would usually be one buying gifts not asking for them, but this year is different. My husband has filed for divorce after 15 years together because he does not believe in monogamy. I had a major panic attack because i have been a stay at home mommy to 3 beautiful children…aged 13, 9, and 4, for the last 10 years. I have spent the last 2 and a half months in a residential treatment facility for anxiety and depression. I will not be home for Christmas and I have no income. I don’t want them to be disappointed. Thank you.

  214. Hi again, I think my comment may have been lost. I have 2 sons, John is 13, Andrew is 3. I am a full-time student without a job. I am struggling financially right now. Thank you for considering my boys. Bless you all and Merry Christmas. Link for John-https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/8EDEUWO6EUIB?&sort=default

  215. Hello again. My name is Rachel(#2014), most know me as Chelody. Im really just hoping for jackets for my girls, we are socal, so lightweight is cool. I picked out ones in their colors on my list (Z is a 3x, red is her fave; S is a 2x, purple), and some shoes for the baby boy (he’s 3 and has size 10.5 wides), because he’s outgrowing his hand-me-downs faster than his cousins. I added some hair and makeup stuff the twins have been drooling over, and some toys the boy would love.

My twins are adhd and both have mdd like me. Z is the most thoughtful and insightful 16yo i have ever known. She just started working and told me she wanted to give me $ for home expenses and take the family out to eat after she got her first paycheck. S wants to be a chef and cooks family dinner for everyone at least 2x a week. Both can be ‘normal’ teens, but are amazing with their baby brother. Lil T is the light and heart of our home. His daddy is the laughter.

  216. Leslie (#194) – I got notice that the owl has been delayed. It’s now scheduled to arrive between December 22nd and January 9th. I hope it does make it to you by Christmas!

  217. I’m not sure how, but either mine didn’t post, or it got lost somehow. I have two teenagers, a 13 year old girl who loves coloring, has just started to learn doing needle craft, a sixteen year old son, who is into sports, which with my luck are on the rather expensive side, so I won’t ask for help in that. And I have an eight year old who loves coloring, so I’ve added the coloring for him and the thirteen year old, and the needle work for my thirteen year old. I tried to find some cheap jackets for them but I couldn’t find anything that was on the cheap side or I would have added them. Thank you so much for all your help. I am a single mother doing this on my own so it really isn’t easy, so thank you for any help that is given.

  218. Hi, I’m not sure if my comment posted earlier and I cannot seem to find it. I need help with my 3 more old and 3 year old daughter this year as funds are tight as we are just getting back on our feet. Happy holidays.

  219. Hey guys, single dad of one here just hoping for a christmas miracle if there are any elves left working.

I have a 6 year old daughter who could really use some gifts under the tree.

We had to relocate earluer this year to help out my elderly parents and things jave been pretty rough since then. Im sure something will eventually come through but for today I could really use a helpinghand or two.

You can find her list here – http://www.amazon.com/registry/wishlist/1A0AG2ZSTTMB8
Thank you so much for reading, merry christmas to everyone

  220. Hi, there are still a few things on the wish list left for megan….jacket, perfume and makeup if anyone would like to please help her. And my daughter roselynn’s stuff is on there as well she is still in need of warm clothes and toys thanks and God bless

  221. y unlikely story that is YOUR account look at the top not mine.Im on Amazon on my phone and don’t even have a computer and it doesnt give me the option to friend anyone.Very sad you would ruin someone’s Christmas being with your false assumptions.Again I am not anyone other than who I posted I am on here.Christina Segundo hernandez, Pena is my previous married name and Jarvis is my maiden name.again all gifts are being returned however you seriously need to get a life because you are playing detective on your own friends list.I wish I knew how to post mine here because it will show on my Amazon I don’t even have an option for that.It clearly says YOURS..Sad you would take away from a child in need because y think someone is someone else.

  222. Could use a little help this Christmas. We have two teenagers. A 15 year old boy and a 16 year old girl. Thank you to anyone that is able to help.

  223. Hello, name is Monique and I have 4 kids, Lexi(14), Paige(12), Chase(10) and Tyler(7). A friend of the family had made me aware of this beautiful page. Before my comment I had read a lot of the comments and I must say Karen you are a sweetheart! We’re going through a rough time right now and not just financially but emotionally. There was a 19 year old trying to talk to my 14 year old for reasons I would rather not even discuss but I’m sure you guys understand what he was trying to do and I made him stop so he got mad and killed our Great Dane and German Shepherd out of pure hate. Broke my children’s heart. It tears me apart I can barely afford rent and food as a single mother and barely able to make ends meet but to see them just crushed because their dogs are dead and I really hate having to add to that depression with a Christmas without any gifts. This would seriously make my world and theirs. I have done a list for each child separate so it wouldn’t be confusing for what gift was what. Thank you so much!!!

  224. Ahh and if I can add when I made this account it was on a computer awhile back..if that truly was my friends list like you say it is where is the Brian gains showing up on there??? Brian gains was the only friend on my Amazon and should be because I don’t have an option through my phone to add. However the picture you posted only shows Bryanna alanis and not the only friend I ever added Brian hains. So might want to check YOUR friends list since that’s what it clearly says..If it was mine it would say Christina friends.however it doesn’t it says YOURS…YOUR LIST,YOUR FRIENDS,ECT.
    Have a nice day

  225. Hi, my name is Cassandra. I’m a mother of 3 beautiful amazing kids. I have a 4 year old boy name Zane, a 3 year old boy named Ryder, and a 8 month old girl name Serenity. My kids are my everything. We are currently in a rough spot in our life’s and my husband, the kids father, lost his job last month that he worked at for the past 5 years. So has of right now I’m the only one working as a waitress. We Barley made enough for bills this month and we have no way to get Christmas for our kids this year. I would greatly appreciate any help for their Christmas this year. Next year I plan on being able to help out other families as I no how it feels to not be able to get your babies the Christmas that they deserve. So in this comment I’m going to post Zane’s, Ryder’s and Serenity’s Christmas wish List. Anything helps. Thank you so much for this opportunity to give my children Christmas this year and I hope everyone has a great Christmas. 226. Karen One-of-Santa’s-Many-Elves you are amazing. I want to be just like you when I grow up. Say hi to Santa and the reindeers! Merry Christmas!

  227. Hello wonderful amazing people. Someone told me about this and I thought I’d add my list in hopes my children may get a Christmas present. We don’t even a tree this year. In September I had my beautiful baby early and although she got to come home with me we’ve had alot of issues keeping her weight up. She’s just now in newborn and finally found a formula we have to pay out of pocket for. With bills formula and Medical bills we can’t afford Christmas for our 2 children. Hi. Check out this list: https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/3EHY9L39VLKBY

  228. Jocleyn 2260 I added something she’s really been wanting to the list. Thank you so much as I read you’re comment and a tear came to my eye. Thank you for helping me and my babies. ❤

  229. PLEASE HELP. WE ARE BEGGING ANYONE.

I know I have posted before, but I’m desperately seeking any help for our family this year for Christmas. Its been such a hard year. In June my husband was involved in a horrible motorcycle accident right in front of our children and myself, he was air lifted to the hospital. 4 hours later he was released while screaming about pain in his leg, they never checked his leg. 2 days later his leg gave out in the bathroom of our home and smashed his head. It took them 4 more weeks to finally check his leg only to find all of the cartalage was ripped in his knee. When he fell and hit his head it caused pseutosezieurs. Tonight while taking down the trash he collapsed and began to seizure, they wouldn’t stop coming. We called 911 he stopped breathing twice. He is being monitored again. He is the main bread winner in our family. I just have gone back to work because I had 2 hip surgies. Our kids are not picky what so ever. We just want them to be able to open something/ anything on Christmas Day. Please. :,( I really don’t know where else to turn. I know so many people have come forward to help others and that is absolutely beautiful. I’m hoping to be chosen for our babies. Thank you and god bless. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

(You don’t have a shipping address for your list. You have to fix it before anyone can send you stuff. ~Jenny)

  230. Jade, Number 2019- Your gifts are on the way along with something for you. Amazon has them arriving on Wednesday. (We live in the U.K. as well.) I hope you have a wonderful holiday. Linda

  231. Jade , Number 2019- I just received a notice that one item will not be there on Wednesday. The Christmas jumper will be there between December 15th and 19th. Merry Christmas! Linda

  232. I would like to thank the persons who purchased the coloring book, unicorn purse, and colored pencils. Feeling really ashamed about asking since I was able to help out last year, and had received help for an agency that I’m not with anymore. The JGM always renews my faith in humanity. This year, I’m sheltering a few kids after their mom was evicted. I’m giving her some time to get her act together, while the kids live with me. All the kids have cognitive disabilities, so it’s hard on me and them. There is no state involvement specifically because I stepped up prior. But, now it’s tough to make ends meet. You know how much 4 teenagers eat? Hint, it’s a lot. Add in their 3 small dogs and I’m going a bit nutso. Prices went up on a lot of things on the wishlist, so I deleted quite a few things from the UNPURCHASED list, and then found and added back a pack of hotwheels (again, it wasn’t purchased, and bonus, now it’s cheaper and has prime shipping attached…again). Luckily, the girls like crafty stuff, and most of the items can be shared between them. I’m really bad at math, so I think it’s pretty close to the limit. Anywho, thanks for helping. I wish I was in the position to help this year.

(I apologize if this is a duplicate. My comments are disappearing).

  233. If there are still any elves out there looking to help, we could use it. I thought we would be okay getting the kids’ Christmas gifts this year, but if it’s not one thing, it’s another, and our heating went out, just as it was getting really cold. This is Louisiana, so thankfully “really cold” is only 20s-30s, but even here, heat takes priority over presents and the repairs took a big bite out of our budget, so now we’re scrambling to do what we can with only one paycheck between now and Christmas.

I have three kids, and made one simple wishlist that covers all three. My daughters each have one item and my son has two, all equaling out to about the same amount. I know how Amazon is with constantly changing stock and prices so I’ll try to keep an eye on the list, but please let me know if an item has sold out or has rocketed up to some crazy price over the limits, and I’ll switch it out for something else.

Huge thanks to any and all who can help out, and may you all have a wonderful holiday season!

  234. I don’t know who helped us but thank you, thank you, thank you! Some books and some plushies and much needed socks are on they’re way here for Christmas. Just the relief in knowing the Christmas tree won’t be bare means so much to us. I told my husband some kind person got our little girl presents and he teared up. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! You just don’t know what this means to us!! <3

  235. @jenny Thank you for sending a gift for my children. And my husband did your lovely gift help last year he told me to put each child separately so that everyone knew who they were gifting for. I do apologize. But again thank you. Loyal follower for many years, open my email everyday hoping to have a post from you in it, thank you for being you.

  236. From original post 2170
I want to thank whoever purchased the pack of books I had picked for my son. We have a nightly routine with him and his sister where they each pick 2 books that we read before bed. They will both appreciate this gift (even if they are ninja turtle! Hehe) This entire thing is a blessing and when I saw that the books were bought I cried. We have been struggling so much especially with my son. His behavior has been out of control for a 4 year old, lashing out, just so much frustration and the only answer he can give is “I don’t know” and I feel his frustration and I feel his sadness and it kills me inside. He is already in special ed and is now being evaluated by a behavioral health person. I already know he is going to struggle deeply with ADHD and possibly more as I did as a child and still do as an adult. People always tell him if he isn’t good that Santa won’t come, what they don’t understand is he can’t control these behaviors sometimes and just needs help. So these books and hopefully the other gift for him and gifts for his sister will show them that regardless, he IS a good boy, and that Santa is real. Thank you all again so much!

  237. Struggling family could use a little help this Christmas. We have 2 boys 14 and a 2 month old. I have kept my list simple as there are many familys in need of help. The highest priority items on my list are the boots and cold weather gear for our oldest son James. He has grown so much this last year and all of his gear from last year is too small. His gloves don’t even fit. I was able to get some cheap stretchy gloves at the 1 tree. but they are not nearly warm enough for the amount of time he spends outdoors. I also included a Harry Potter outfit and stuffed Owl for the baby, but honestly he is to young to care. please help keep James warm this winter. have a blessed day and Merry Christmas to all.

  238. Hi guys, I added a few things to our list for a neighbor. I couldn’t talk to her, so I put a few things I thought they would like. I didn’t feel comfortable putting her address on without permission. Full disclosure, we were helped. I added these to our old list because I’m lazy but it’s mostly girl stuff. http://a.co/6l2x8F9

  239. Hey everyone!! Figured I’d post one last time to see if maybe someone might possibly be able to get my young something off the list. An amazing person bought the older kids each a gift that I am externally grateful for
I know I’ve seen people mention helpers tend to stay away from big list and we need to make separate ones but I wasn’t able to do that I barely having an internet connection and it took us over an hour just to make the one we did lo
l so please don’t pass my wonderful kids up just because of that they ea picked out 2-3 things they’d like to have and out on there.
I did selfishly put an undershirt on there that I’d love for my husband to have
He works out in the water all winter and he comes home freezing every evening and I ju wish with everything in me I could get him something to help keep him warnm and dry..

  240. Message for Anne Brown, posts 2295/2296.

Your wishlist doesn’t have an address linked to it. Please can you head back into it and amend?
Also – from your list, it looks as if you have a boy and a girl to get presents for. Is this correct?

Breathe, milovely – there’s still time.
    x

  241. My top tips to everyone still looking for presents:

Keep breathing. This list runs until Christmas – and Prime gifts can be done up until Dec 22nd.

Definitely try to keep your list small and manageable. Start a new list specifically for this purpose, or at least clear out previous items that aren’t Christmas gifts. Do try to add a couple of smaller items per kid as well as just one or two ‘bigger ticket’ items. No one begrudges a child a pair of socks or a scarf or a book or two…

Please pop their names/ages in the comments if you’re using just one list (a short list per child can also work). I try hard to buy an item for each child in a family, to make sure everyone gets something – but this often isn’t obvious.

As a gifter, having a ‘wall of wants’ can be little overwhelming, so keeping it clean and simple really helps… Help us to help you.
And lastly, thank you for asking for help. It is an honour and a privilege to be able to give at Christmas. Please don’t feel bad for asking. Life is tough enough without guilt eating you too…

    Much love <3

  242. I fixed my address on my amazon account.

❤❤❤ I am a mother of 3 wonderful little girls. I try my best to empower them and show them how to be independent. I have never been able to bring myself to ask for help, but I feel as if I am letting them down this Christmas. We have never had an extravagant Christmas haigui hardly get anything close to what some other families get for Christmas. Christmas to us is more about the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Celebrating family and friends and spending time together as one. I would deeply appreciate any help that is given and as soon as I am able I will definitely pay it forward. I don’t expect anything for myself this Christmas just my children. And I honestly don’t expect that from anyone either, but it would it be extremely appreciated and I would be forever grateful. May God forever bless you all!

  243. Attempted to find the incredible person who purchased earbuds and a book for my kids but failed- THANK YOU. You’re helping so much more than you know. My daughter (Lydia) won’t emerge from her room until that book is read and Scott will be over the moon! He’s training for track and the earbuds will make that ever so much easier. You ALL are amazing and I am stunned and grateful to all of you. I hope I can return the favor when I’m having a better year.

  244. Phoenix, comment 2300.

You have the husky hat, the cross stitch bits, the Melissa & Doug game and Star Wars origami en route. I hope that gives them a gift each…

Merry Christmas to you and yours! <3

  245. This year a friend sent me this link and asked me to help her figure out how to do it . So I decided I’d give it a try with her since we are no need of help providing Christmas for our kids and nephews this yr . I just had spinal surgery and am unable to work at this time . I fully intend to participating next yr helping others have a good Christmas. I’m not sure how to create a link but if you look up Malina Blair at amazon.com it pops right up with our Christmas wish list . We would greatly appreciate the help this year. As out nephews are living with us this yr and it’s hard for us right now to provide anything extra.

  247. My son is having a hard year. His dad is deployed and we just learned it will be through the holidays again. Brayden really wants to be like his dad. All he wants is a tactical vest to play with his airsoft stuff. He was admitted to the hospital bc he didn’t feel the desire to live. We have gotten through those hurdles but he still suffers from depression. Everyday is a step for us. It would make his day to enjoy this sport he has taken to.

Really hoping the right person sees this <3

  250. It’s hard to ask for help when you’re the one usually helping. Saxon was born and my husband deployed soon after his birth. We can’t afford to allow him to take off much time. I know babies won’t remember Christmas but it would mean a lot to my other two kids to see baby brother get a small something from Santa too. We are struggling this year and it would mean a lot to me to have a smile on their faces.

  252. Talia Walters, posts 2076 and onwards…

You said you’d had a gift bought for each of your older kids, so I got the VTech truck for Asher and the doll care kit for Lexi.
I really hope this means that they all have something to open on the morning.

With love at Christmas, BeffyDee x

  253. Talia #2076/#2239/#2310 – I herded the Reindeer up and they are all about sending Christmas cards to your wonderful children. Please expect a flurry of cards to start arriving early next week. Also once I got Comet to stop wearing the diapers on his head and Prancer to stop prancing about like a Fairy Princess, they promised to deliver the gifts right away (cross their hooves) Merry Christmas!!

  254. LEON FAMILY of 4 w/ 2 girls:
Hello. You may want to update or redo your list. Some items show unavailable.
Some are ADD ON only and require a $25 purchase shipped from Amazon to send.
If anyone is looking for someone to assist, this family had no Santas helping them yet. I sent some but not all. Merry Christmas!

  255. Hi everyone!

    My original post was #2103.

I saw that we seem to be able to post updates, so I thought I would do that.

As I stated before I’m a single WAHM and this time of year is always tough business-wise. I am shopping for my son and two nieces (my brother is unable to do anything this Christmas, so I want to help out their mom). I’ve done what I can, but am officially tapped financially. Any help with these final items would be greatly appreciated by kids and parents alike.

Christian is a 7-year-old boy who loves electronics and is learning to read. His list includes a Furby (his big “I want that!” item this year), a Magic Tree House book, and a Pokemon winter accessories set.
    Total: $54.16
    Christian’s Wishlist: http://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/XRA89HKYY3Y0

Aryanna is a 2-year-old girl who LOVES the movie Trolls. Her list includes a Troll Hugtime Poppy.
    Total: $38.80
    Aryanna’s Wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/SBL1F38M0DPM

Journee is a 6-month-old baby who loves making noise and exploring. Her wishlist includes a Lil’ Critters Moosical Beads (which is currently 74% off, but that price has gone up and down in the last 24 hours, so not sure how long that will last), a Move and Crawl Baby Ball, and a coat/scarf set.
Total (as of me writing): $48.86
    Journee’s Wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3U4KO6VCSFZUC

Thanks for reading and Merry Christmas!

P.S. Thank you to the person/people who bought the wrist rattles for Journee, the hat/gloves for Aryanna, and the Captain Underpants book for Christian. I appreciate it. 😀

  256. I’m #1181 and I just wanted to extend my thanks to whoever purchased the earbuds for my runner and the book for my Lydia- she’s uniquely Lydia and will burrow in her room and read and reread that until I make her emerge. I can’t tell you how much that means to me!

  257. Danielle F. (comment 1996) – I am also a mother of twin girls. I would like to send you some extra things since your wish list is fulfilled. Please email me: dianna.overmyer@gmail.com
Good luck and enjoy the ride : )

  258. I have been debating for the last few days on posting. My daughter is only (almost) 2 months old so Christmas isn’t really a big event for her. She doesn’t know that I’m struggling and wouldn’t remember that there weren’t any gifts this year.. but it’s her first Christmas and I feel like the biggest failure of a mom.
I decided to put pride aside and ask for a little help.. just a few small toys and some warm clothes. I tried really hard to stay within the price limit set. I don’t know if there is anyone still willing to help but even if nobody is able I just want to say thank you for this community, the support and the hope everyone has been granted.

  259. OMG – I am almost in tears this morning, which is HUGE because I don’t cry (my crier ran out of tears or broke or something – I’m not sure) Anyway, I’m a new reader of Jenny’s and started reading her blog from the very beginning. I’ve read through all the previous James Garfield miracles, but was never here for it happening in real time. I’m finally caught up to the present posts and am so happy that I did!!
I was able to help H.Hubert with some items from their list – I hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your children and God Bless You and everyone in this wonderful funny kind and loving tribe!!!

  260. Tiffany and kids – being a single mom is rough. I think you are rocking it! Gifts for the kiddos coming your way from “Santa” Merry Christmas! Dianna

  261. If this is still open to comments, here is our Christmas wish. I’m a single mom, three kids but one of them gets a lot of special gifts from a program he is in due to his disability so I’m not asking for anything special for him.

The other two sometimes get overlooked and these were kind of special wishes, Thank you for thinking of us.
