First off, giant thanks to everyone who commented on my last post, because it made me feel so much less alone and it also convinced me to not try to outrun unconsciousness in the future after reading so many stories of broken bones. THANK YOU. Secondly, it’s Friday and that means you need to come into my office so I can show you the instagram posts I’ve been saving for you. There are a lot because I’ve been too sick to share them for awhile but today I almost feel partially human. YAY FOR ALMOST HUMAN.
ALL THE COOL KIDS ADVERTISE HERE:
I fucking love these people & not just because they support my wine-slushee habit:
Flourish in Progress: (T)hug Life: Part hood. Part good.
The Mack Files: Digesting life in bite-sized pieces through the lens of clichés, quotes & “truisms”. Often irreverent, always honest.
Wonder and Joy for the Wired and Tired: Feeling wired, tired, and stretched too thin? You’re not alone. Re-ignite your sense of childlike wonder, joy, and well-being with this enlightening and entertaining book by Dr. Pam Stephens Lehenbauer, well-being thought leader and author of the blog, Mother Nature’s Apprentice.
Stuff and Thangs from Xanaru: A mostly funny stuff about my quest for happiness through stories, art, friendship, Great Danes, one naked weirdo alien cat and indiscriminate swearing.
How the Hell Did I Not Know That?: Humorist Lucie Frost shares daily Instagram reels with learnings of the day—words, music, whatever–with plenty of laughs and all the curse words.
Beautiful Writers book: Writers! This coming-of-career memoir (w/ the BEST advice from celeb authors, real shit you haven’t heard) is life. A page-turning beach read doubling as how-to. #Magic
Sunday Comics With Cooper and Fitz: A light-hearted comic strip about two sibling felines and their life with their adopted family: their relationship is complicated but hilarious, and navigating life with humans adds to the fun.
Guilded Monocle: Hand-assembled writing kits to lure your muse back from its side quest. Two paths always included: one structured, one wandering. Every pairs with a prompt if you’re in the mood — if not, be as feral as you wanna be. No yoga voice here, just a judgy mutt named Rory.
The Museum of Regrettable Spreadsheets: Somewhere in your organization is a spreadsheet where the colors mean something and nobody remembers what. The Museum of Regrettable Spreadsheets would like it for the collection. P.S. The Curator also does web hosting and data cleanup. Restoration is available. Exhibition is not mandatory.
Hear This! A Twisted Tale of Sonic Torment by Jon Hébert.: A musician’s darkly funny memoir about hearing damage, porcupine ants, Satan managing Heaven on the weekends, and duck stuff. Seriously messed up stuff about ducks.
Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh: SO GOOD.

Thanks so much, I really needed this 😂
Anxiety cat gave me anxiety. Bailey the vibrating dog took it away. And huskies represent the state of the world. Think you discovered the metaphor of life, Jenny.
I’m just going to mention what a wonderful human being you are Jenny. Everyone else is just going to agree with me.
It took a couple of views to understand why the piano player threw his tantrum: “It’s ‘stomp your feet!’ you M…..F……!”
Lots of needed laughter with this crop. Thanks!
Omg, Gary! Watch out for that lady!
Why are they calling that poor kitty fat! So mean!
I can confirm, being round is not conducive to running. 🤭
Almost human, you say.
Well, here you go.

The wolves took me out. Calling the pack of wolves frat bros was too much for them, they needed to set the record straight.
Thank you, this is just what I needed!
The guy sliding in mud and the cat attacking the paper room divider were hysterically funny, good thing I had just used the bathroom or I would have peed my pants with laughter.
O M F G
I made my husband watch so many of these. I laughed really hard. That poor anxiety cat. But the guy in the mud. You knew what was going to happen. Just give in you Ninnisckumpkins! Let the mud have its toll. The more you fight it, the worse it will be! You might as well fall face first and get it over with and be in your way.
I left Insta to take some space but these are so precious and good 🩷
#9 Hope: Seriously!!! At what point don’t you just mentally accept: “Fuck it. I might as well fall down and roll in this mud and get it over with!!”????
Lmao, these were great!!!
Glad you are feeling better! 🤗
You know, I have been reading your blog off and on for years now. I have read your books and I love you dearly. I’m 71 years old and after thinking about it for years I have decided that I am (to paraphrase one of my favorite authors) “Furiously Broken” Stay safe and stay well dear Jenny.
I’ve missed these. They always make me laugh hard.
The shopping mall in my city (in the interior of Brazil) has a small exhibition of stuffed animals. My first thought when I saw a stuffed anteater in the middle of the mall was: “Jenny Lawson would love that.”
I needed these, thank you ❤️ I’ve been struggling too lately, and you sharing your light when you can and your struggles makes so much difference to me – just figured you should know that.
Oh man, those were so good
😀
Thank you for the much needed laughs. We all need more of them these days.
Oh how I love these posts! There is always one video that makes me snort laugh! 😂
The guy in the mud really got me belly laughing. You never know which video it’s going to be, but it always happens. Thank you!
GeoGuessr is a fun and educational way to see the world from home.
thank u!
