Hello and welcome to the SIXTEENTH ANNUAL James Garfield Miracle! (HOW??)
“What is the James Garfield Miracle?” you may be asking.
You must be new here. HELLO AND WELCOME.
16 years ago I walked into an estate sale and fell in love with an ancient taxidermied boars head that seemed so damn happy to see me.

I did not buy him and spent a week in light mourning. Then the next week A MIRACLE HAPPENED and James Garfield came into my life forever. (He’s looking at me right now in my new office, in fact and he is older but still magnificent….as are we all.)
But Victor wasn’t completely thrilled that we’d spent $90 on a literal Christmas miracle of mangey fur and missing teeth so I decided that I’d make holiday cards of James Garfield to make up for it and if I sold a couple dozen it’d be like James Garfield was making us money.

But then everyone went crazy and James Garfield made more that week than I did in my actual job and so I decided that I’d take all the money James Garfield made and use it to give presents to the kids of people who were struggling that year because I have been there in the past myself. And I bought gifts for the first 30 something people and then I ran out of money but then suddenly everyone in the comments were like, “I WANT TO HELP A STRANGER IN NEED! LET ME BUY A GIFT FOR SOMEONE” and that’s how this suddenly became 16 years of a strange community project of strangers helping strangers anonymously and it’s pretty damn amazing.
Over the years we’ve had many different iterations of the James Garfield Miracle and the only real downside is that occassionally a scammer would slip in and ask for stuff for themselves, so a few years ago we decided to just give out teddy bears. Why? Because everyone loves teddy bears (hell, I love teddy bears) and if someone is going to go to the trouble to make an entire wishlist account for a teddy bear they definitely need one.
So this year I am sending out 150+ teddy bears to kids right here.
That’s it. Just sweet, snuggly teddy bears. Well, not just teddy bears because the teddy bears have eyes that babies can swallow (stop swallowing eyes, weird babies) so I’m also adding a few other stuffed animals you can choose from if you have an eye-devouring baby or your child hates bears or Amazon sells out of teddy bears.
But that’s it. Simple. Easy. Not perfect because in a perfect world everyone would get everything they need, but I’d like to imagine that even people who may be disappointed that we’re just doing stuffed animals will at least be happy imagining all the kids finding unexpected fluffy new stuffed animals in their arms this holiday. It makes me smile, at least.
So, if you are struggling this year and you need help getting your child a present for Christmas/Hanukkah/winter solstice/whateveryoucelebrate then I am ready to Santa Claus it up and drop one lovely plushie at your doorstep. And I will walk you through how to get or give one anonymously.

Here are the links for the plushes you can pick from. Choose the one that best works for your kid:
Squishmallow Stitch in pajamas
microwavable weighted cow plushie
Squishmallow kodiak bear with bucket hat
Currently these are all around $15-$25 each but Amazon can be wonky about changing up the prices when things start to run low so if I see that happening I’ll come back here to add other choices to choose from to replace any that sell out or suddenly skyrocket in price from $20 to $180. (Wtf, Amazon?) If I haven’t bought you a stuffed animal it’s probably because they sold out, jacked up the price, or you forgot to add your address so just come back and try again. I selected only stuffed animals that are prime eligible and have at least 20 or more in stock but if they start to run out I’ll switch to something else that meets the criteria.
(Also, I use a lot of the profits I make on ads and stuff to buy toys for kids, and all of the royalties from the 2026 Bloggess Calendar go to this as well, so that means that if you’ve even clicked on a link this year or bought an ad or a book, then you are the reason why I’m going to be able to buy toys for at least 150 kids this year. I’m so grateful. Thank you!)
The wishlists should be posted in the comments so (as always) if you want to buy a present for a stranger you totally can. Or you can donate to Project Night Night, an amazing organization that provides a tote bag, book, stuffed animal and security blanket to displaced kids throughout the year. They are FANTASTIC and they have more requests than they can fill so I cannot recommend them enough. In fact, tomorrow I’ll be donating $1,000 to them in your name. WHOOP!
SO…if you want in on this you have to read all the directions and stick to the rules or otherwise you will be set on fire and pushed out a moving plane. Or maybe I’ll just delete your comment and look at you with that disappointed look your mom gives you when she knows you’re trying but are still fucking up. One of those. Here are the rules:
IF YOU WANT TO GIVE:
Okay, how do I do this?
You are my special angel. Just look in the comments and find someone who has an unfilled Wishlist. I’m going to fill least 150 stuffed animal wishes but there are often more than I can handle. (If there’s nothing on their list when you click it it means their toy was already bought- yay!) Buy their present and make sure when you check out that you select their shipping address instead of defaulting to yours. (It won’t give you their full address but it’ll tell you the town you’re shipping it to so you can compare it to their comment to make sure you have the right person.) If you try to fill a wishlist but it doesn’t give you a shipping address to choose that means the person didn’t assign a shipping address to their list so just delete their present out of your cart and go on to the next wishlist. If it says “these are duplicates. Someone else may have already bought this” when you try to check out then someone else has already bought that stuff so delete it and try another one. I’ll update the comments as I can to note which ones have been filled but it can get a bit backlogged when I’m in the car, eat or sleeping. 🙂 Please do not fill any wishlists that don’t say the city the person lives in the comments, or any wishlists where the person doesn’t stick to the rules, please. (This is one way we make sure that people are who they say they are while still giving them anonymity.)
But what if I don’t live in America?
Check the comments because we often have Canadians and others outside the US who need help and I can’t fill those lists because shipping kills me, so if you want to adopt a family this is a great way to do it.
IF YOU NEED HELP:
You are my special angel. Here are the things you have to know and if you do them wrong you’ll get deleted so read carefully, okay?: You have to make a BRAND NEW wishlist today, you can only choose one stuffed animal per child to put on your wishlist, and it has to be one of the ones above. I’ll walk you through it below. Then just come to this post and leave a comment telling us the city and State you’re in (this location has to match what you have on your wishlist), how many kids you have, and a link to your wishlist. Do not make multiple wish lists. Just make one. One of the most important things (people do this wrong every year so PLEASE do this part right) is that you have to assign a shipping address for this specific brand new wishlist. It doesn’t matter if you’ve done it before or think it’s on your profile. You have to do it for this new wishlist specifically today or it won’t let us send you anything. I’ll give you the details on setting up the wishlist below.
What if I want to make wish lists to surprise other people who I think need help?
Nope. Because then we end up sending multiple things to the same people. But you can totally encourage them to go online or help them make their own. This is for anyone struggling to get a toy for their child this holiday (and yes, that totally includes teens and adult children with special needs).
I’ve never done this before. How do I make a wishlist?
It’s pretty quick and easy if you follow the formula. I’ll walk you through step by step:
On Amazon, click on “Accounts & Lists” (on the top right), choose “Create a list” from the dropdown. (Sometimes it’s under “your lists” if you can’t find it.)
Create a brand new list and name it “James Garfield 2025” then click “create”. This will give you a blank private wishlist with nothing on it.
On the right you’ll see a button that says “…“. Click on that and choose “Manage list.” Change “private” to “PUBLIC” so we can see it. In the “description” part just put how many kids your list is for. YOU MUST ADD YOUR ADDRESS FOR THIS SPECIFIC LIST so click on the drop-down for the shipping address and change it from “none” to your address. PLEASE DON’T SKIP THIS PART. Please make sure that all the checkboxes at the bottom are UNCHECKED. That means make sure that “keep purchased items on your list” and “don’t spoil my surprises” are NOT checked. Now go back and double-check every single thing in this paragraph. Is it all good? Awesome! Click “Save changes”.
Now just go shopping for one of the above stuffed lovies for your kiddo. When you have the one you want click on the “Add to list” drop down arrow on the right (it’s under where the price is) and then select your “James Garfield 2025” list. Click “view your list” to make sure it’s added. If everything is right you should have your stuffed animal(s) on the wishlist page and when you click on the “…” button again it should say that your wishlist is public and your address should show up in the same box and double check that “don’t spoil my surprises” and “keep purchased items on your list” ARE NOT checked. (People will see the city and state you are in, but your last name and the rest of your address is hidden.)
If you have another kid just go back to the list and pick a present for them and add it to the same list.
When you have one stuffed animal for each kid in your wishlist copy the link to your wishlist. Now you go to the comments below and leave a comment saying how many kids you have, what city and state you are in, and a paste in the link to your wishlist. That’s it!
So for example, a comment from me would look like this:
“Hi. I live in San Antonio Texas, and I have one kid who would love an elephant. Here’s my list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3CX4A420GS5MG
Thanks!”
Now…go shopping. Happy James Garfield Day!
PS. Please please please double check before you hit the submit button that you have assigned a shipping address to your wishlist, that it’s “public” and that your comment has a link to your wishlist, the city and state you live it and the number of kids you have. Love!
PPS. This is one of my favorite things to do each year but it isn’t perfect. Every year some boxes go missing. Some get delivered after Christmas. Miscommunications happen. But I’d rather try to do something small and wonderful even if it isn’t perfect. Thank you to every single person who asks for help, to every single person to who helps and especially to those who have done both. Every year we have people who’ve been helped before who are so happy to help this year, or people who’ve helped before but now need help themselves. I know what it feels like to be in both of those places and I’m wishing love and light to every single person who reads this.
PPPS. When you choose something for your wishlist make sure it still says “delivers before xmas” because some of the things may sell out and not restock in time. 🙂 As of the time I’m writing this all the stuffed animals arrive before xmas but if they start to sell out and have to restock it might cause your stuff to come in later. I’ll try to keep adding other options if things start to run out.
Happy holidays, y’all!

I might be dumb but where do I find the wish list to donate? Im sorry I searched James Garfield 2025 in Amazon registry
(They’ll start to show up in the comments soon. 🙂 ~ Jenny)
Here again this year to help deliver some holiday cheer! See what I did there? Woot!
Why am I not seeing any comments? So weird. I only see one.
I just hate doing stuffed animals.. It doesn’t compare to sending winter jackets and books and toys. I work with refugee families in the last thing their kids need is another stuffed animal. I know there was some scamming in the past , but so what? I think the people that got the gifts were all happy.
(There are a lot of angel trees that do jackets and books and stuff and I HIGHLY recommend them. After a few days of filling the stuffed animals we usually open up the comments for anyone to ask for other things or gofundmes or share charity organizations they want help with. 🙂 ~ Jenny)
Hey! I have a kid who would love a polar bear. I live in Barnesville, MN here is my list https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/XDAD33D4O72O?ref_=wl_share

Sw Michigan for Besties, it’s coming!
Hi! My name is Lauren, and we live in the frozen tundra of Blaine, MN where we’ve been buried under a pile of snow since the end of November. I have five amazing kids, two are autistic and all are incredible in their own unique way. I chose the dinosaur hand puppets for my kids to encourage them to be creative together over winter break after they open them up on Christmas morning.
Here’s our list:

Hi I’m bre from FG Illinois and I have 4 kids and one older teen
I put animals on the list but is there a way to do coloring books or something for the disabled teen? She tends to destroy stuffies if given them. I picked one for her that maybe she wouldn’t destroy but I figured it couldn’t hurt to ask
Thanks all

I didn’t know if it was ok for me to put items for my handicapped teen who might destroy a stuffy (sensory and limited capacity for gentle play) so I did some small things for her. Please delete if this isn’t ok
(Looks like several things on your list were filled but I’m deleting the rest bc it’s one per kid. Love!~ Jenny)
HI all, im Kendra and I live in Crystal River, Florida where the manatee roam 🙂
(Oops…forgot your wishlist, I think. Can you comment again? ~ Jenny)
Thank you for doing this! Soon my two kiddos will be grown, but they haven’t outgrown cuddling with stuffed animals yet and I’d love to give them each a microwaveable cow to snuggle.
I put the two cows from the cow listing so they can tell them apart, but if that’s not allowed please let me know!

Hello from Vegas! I have five kiddos and my bestie has two. We benefitted from this last year and my kids loved it so much. I am hoping my two older ones will still appreciate the generosity, they were so tickled last year. My best friend happens to live across from me and she has two girls who would love to get a pick me up too, now that their dad is in the hospital. It’s been a rough couple months for all of us. Thank you to any one who could help. And thank you for doing this each year. It warms my heart to see all the love and joy sent out into the world.

I’ve gotta run out for an hour and a half to run an errand but I’m writing a comment here to remind myself where I was. I was going to start earlier today but the day got on top me and a car drove into our building. Not into our store but into the one we’re connected to. Weird way to start the morning. I’ll be back later and will be filling lists all night until I run out of cash. Love!
(Updating my own comment. Back now! ~ Jenny)

Gigantic twice-blended Twin Cities family – bursting at the seams and always a tight budget, but thank goodness for the library to help us keep this crew entertained and educated! I’m Erica! These are my kids and what I’m picked for them that I know they’ll love: 6 littles (dinosaurs), 6 medium-bigs (cows), and 1 big (teen) (cow).
I put plushies on the list for all of our kids including the teenager even though he’s no longer a believer, but still feels good being included in the fun and he’s so good with our younger bunch. He’s been into a youtube video series of a guy voicing animals, with some cheeky highland cows as his favorites, so I choose that cow for him. Top priority of course is for our youngest ones, to help keep the magic of Santa alive for them, and then for the rest of the kids if there’s one or a few someones who are able to help. I am thankful to you all for helping make our Christmas morning magical!
Thank you! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

72 they should arrive on the 11th I am so fortunate and blessed to be able to help have a great holiday
I got four that would love a little something to open this Christmas in Nevada. But they don’t really like any of the selections above for stuffies. I don’t know if it is allowed but I found ones based off the price range of the ones above that would be a hit. Got two completely gaga over capybaras and another that loves corgis and an axolotl (?) lover so that’s what I went with. Completely understand if it is not allowed since it is outside the rules but thank you in advance if anyone thinks it would be okay to do.

Hey, I’m in 🇨🇦, and set up a list on Amazon. ca. This is an ask for my 2 twin grandbabies! They were 9 weeks premature, and are lucky to be thriving and home for their first Christmas 💗. Our family has a tradition of gifting a stuffed bunny to babies, but this year has been super tough and I’m not able to do it. I found 2 that look nice, and if anyone would like to help with some Christmas Magic it would be truly appreciated!

#61 Erica, another dinosaur on the way. Should be there Friday. 🙂 xo lagrandesoeur
Jenny, thank you for doing this every year and for being you!

(I feel so lucky to be able to do it. It’s one of my favorite things. ~ Jenny)
I’m not sure how to post so my name shows up but we’d love some help with our children. We have 4 who live with us full time and 2 who are part-time. One of them might be aging out of plush toys but I’m hoping the fact that the cow is weighted will appeal to her! We’re in MI.
Thank you in advance!

Hey my name is Amanda, I am a mom of 6 from Taylor, PA. Thank you for doing this. It’s been a rough year. Every time I think things are getting better we take ten steps back. My SO suffered a work related injury and ended up having multiple back surgeries and then he had a heart attack. He has not been able to return to his job hes had for twenty years. I just really appreciate the help. I don’t want them to ever feel forgotten and my best simply isn’t good enough.

(Your best is good enough if it includes your love. But looks like 6 little stuffies are on the way now to you. Sending love. ~ Jenny)
#77, there’s a good chance your list will be skipped over if you don’t follow Jenny’s rules. I recommend redoing the list and picking from the selected toys.
#82, your list has some things on it that aren’t on the approved list. You’re more likely to get your wishes filled if they’re the selected items. After a few days, you can post clothing needs, but the first few days are the select stuffies. I think the microwavable cow is my fave!
Hello! Requesting for my littles in Arizona, 5,4 2,2, and 12 , thank you for your consideration 🎄https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/WE0H4IJ89GP3?ref_=wl_share
(Looks like someone beat me here! ~ Jenny)
I corrected my list. I had two items added to the wrong list. I apologize. I only asked for 5 out of my 6. Im not asking for a stuffed animal for my oldest. I hope that explains the difference. 5 of my 6 are teens. They love the microwave ones but I don’t want them all to get the exact same plush if that makes sense. Thank you
Holy cow! All the lists are filled at this point!
This is my favorite video game. I love losing this one.
(Like, for real. ~ Jenny)
#85 I gotcha 🙂
Also THANK YOU 🙂
#82, Amanda, the cow is coming your way and should arrive Friday! Merry Christmas!
#86 I have totally mixed up lists before. Spouse said “Hey, um, do you think your son *really* wants pore masks? He’s six.” Whoops!
Looks like your wishes are FILLED. I was not fast enough!
#61 Erica, I got you. The last 4 stuffies are on their way!

#98 cow on its way to you in one of my favorite Texas small towns!
My name is Colette, and I’m a single mother from Minnesota. We are DV survivors, recently relocated because of safety issues, and are starting over from scratch. I have been able to pay for our basic necessities most months, but with Christmas being so close, presents are not an option for me this year. I would love to put something special in my kid’s stockings, and it would mean so much to receive three this year. Please forgive me if this is not allowed, but I have a spider, snail and frog on my wishlist. I know they would absolutely love them! I also have the Stitch and the alpacas if not. I would truly be grateful for anything! Thank you so much for reading and I wish you a very Merry Christmas and The Happiest New Year.
(Hi Colette! I sent you three things for your sweet kiddos but deleted your list because it has things on it that aren’t shippable to people. The reason I pick specific things is because if you pick things that arent on the list you often get error message saying that the seller is a third-party and won’t send gifts and then the person never gets the presents and then everything gets messy. Sending love! ~ Jenny)
I can tell I’m old people keep beating me to filing the list. Which really is a wonderful problem okay off to fill a couple more
(ME TOO. I love it. I’m just sitting in front of my computer playing solitaire and refreshing. ~ Jenny)

I’m in Colorado. My 13 year old daughter lost her best friend to suicide this year. I saw the little llamas. She and her friend called each other “twin,” so I think she might like these. I hope 🙂 We are not high financial need, but it might just be nice to for her to know someone is thinking of her. Thank you 🙂 Also, I love Project Night-Night Jenny. We gave to them a couple of years. What a sweet program. Thanks for doing this.

Dear Jenny and her followers,
thank you so much for helping children, teens and special needs adults get stuffed toys for the holidays. I can’t afford to help, and I don’t have anyone in my household that needs them, but you all make my holidays bright by knowing how much generosity and caring you have for your neighbors who are struggling, which will mean children and children at heart will get a stuffed toy to love.
You all make our world a better place!
Thank you ever so much.
If the commenters run out of people who need toys, and the donors still want to help, contact your local women with children’s shelter or children’s group home for children in the foster care system in your state.
There are always lots of kids who need a stuffed toy to love when they don’t have a permenant home.
(We donate to the women’s shelter but I never thought about the foster care system. That’s a really good tip. ~ Jenny)
#78 Averi – 2 bunnies headed your way, and they should arrive Sunday. Happy holidays to you, your new grand babies, and your whole family!
Every year I look forward to this — it’s one of my favorite holiday traditions! I can’t always give but when I can, I do. I mostly read all the comments to remind myself how good people can be. Jenny, you and your readers are good people.
Will keep trying to help someone who comments (thrilled to see how fast others are jumping on this)! Thanks to the person who shared that Project Night Night has an Amazon wishlist—gifts sent.
Hi, I’m Lauren, I have 7 kids and live out in Wisc Rapids, WI 54495. Hi Rosella (#124) Their on the way!
Hey everyone I’m Christina from Texas. I have 4 kids. A 16 yr old girl, 14 yr old son who’s autistic, a 12 year old girl and 11 year old girl. Recently their dad and I was in the process of his immigration stuff and he went to his appt to do his biometrics and was detained. The laws that have been put in place have now left my kids without their dad. And me without my husband and the financial support he brings to our home. Our lawyer said it could be months. My kids have been depressed and I have to try and be strong for them but I’m breaking. We don’t even have a tree, they don’t have coats and it’s been down to 30 and below in the mornings. Life is a mess and I’m hoping someone out there can bless us with a few things so they can atleast have a day of happiness. Here is our Amazon wish list. I hope I did this right. God bless everyone and please if you can send a prayer out for my family. As we are trying so hard to do things the right way. Thank you 🙏 (I put some sweatpants for my son as he is autistic and doesn’t touch anything furry due to sensory issues)
(Hello, friend. We’re only doing stuffed animals right now but after 24 hours this will be opened up for anyone to post what they might need. We’re just sticking with stuffed animals for the moment so that everyone can get something. If you want to post again picking one of each the stuffed animals above and post that feel free, or just wait until tomorrow night to post asking for more. Love! ~ Jenny)

Hello, my name is Christina and I am a disabled mom in Eastern Kentucky. We have three sweet teenage girls and two younger kiddos we are fostering through kinship care. Hi! I’m Willow and I’m in Minneapolis, currently with 8 kids, who are a mix of bio/adopted/foster. It’s been a tough year. We are grateful for everything! We’re a foster family, so all of these kids are “mine” but some will live with us only temporarily, and I love all of them with all of my heart. Thank you thank you thank you to those of you who’ve helped our kids out in the past. This year I chose the microwavable and weighted warming plushies, because the warmth seems like it’d be especially comforting, and some of my kids have traumas that make bedtime extra hard for them and this past year has unfortunately made it so much harder. I know everyone will LOVE these!
(Looks like someone bought a few of them already and I sent the rest. Love! ~ Jenny)
My name is Amy and im from NY. I raise my granddaughters Lea 16, and Layce 12. They would love a cuddly buddy to sleep with. Thank you!

Comment 175 you are amazing! christmas happiness in 8 minutes. Thank you!
Good morning. My name is Kay, and seeing this has truly made me feel hope.
This won’t be easy for me to write, I do pride myself on being capable and independent.
I have my 4 grandchildren living with me. It was not a surprise to have them but the financial burden has been unexpected and difficult.
My older two have taken it upon themselves to offer shoveling for local families just to help make ends meet. I hate feeling as though I’ve failed them even though logically I know I’m doing the best I can.
I did put stuffed animals in my list, one of each favorite. However, I am praying it might also be ok that I added a few small comforts for the two as they are shoveling and after – just to ease the sting.
The younger two help at home but don’t really have much for fun outside of school (we live in the country) so I added the two things they’re most interested in currently – books and coloring.
Even if all that is sent our way is good wishes, the fact that there is such good in the world fills me with the hope and optimism I’d thought I’d lost.
Merry Christmas all!
Kay, from Ashton Illinois
(Hi Kay! I sent the 4 stuffed animals and a little something extra but deleted the link to the wishlist since we’re just doing stuffed animals for the 24 hours. But late tonight it will be open up for anyone to post other wishes so feel free to post it again after 8pm. ~ Jenny)

Hey everyone! I live in Sandy, Oregon, and I have six kiddos who would love a hedgehog (this kiddo has a pet hedgehog ♡), Baby Bluey, Stitch, cow, alpaca babies and glowing polar bear. We were struggling with our own 5 kids this year, and we took in a 6th (and his hedgehog) when his home became unsafe.

#204 one squishmallow Stitch on it’s way!
Hallo, and merryhappyblessedpeacefulsparklykindnessomgiamfueledbychocolatewherewasiohyespleasehaveagreatwhateveryoucelebrate!
I appreciate the chance for a little help! I live in Auburn, NY, and have one adult disabled kid. He’d love a hedgie plush because hedgies are very mom- (that’s me) associated around here, and when he’s super anxious but can’t have me right there with him constantly, he likes to have something sensory-friendly that he can touch and squish and feel like it’s a snuggle-transfer-er.

This is a list for my nieces, 7, 5, 4. All they have asked for Christmas is Pusheen, they are obsessed. I know they are not the approved stuffies and will understand if this gets deleted. My sister’s internet just got shut off so there is no way for her to make a list so I told her I would. If this is not allowed I will ask if she thinks the girls would like any of the stuffies listed (the llamas are so cute) and make a new list. She is in Henderson, NV.
(Looks like everything is on the way except on of the Pusheen because you’ve chosen something that can’t be sent through a wishlist. If it isn’t listed as “prime” eligible it’s generally a third-party seller and they won’t send things from wishlists. ~ Jenny)

Hi Jenny and James Garfield Miracle Makers! I saw that Jenny said that other requests are allowed after the first day, so I am making a special request for menstrual products that will help many kids at the public school where I teach. I made this request last year as well and it was amazing for our students. They were palpably relieved to have access to period products that didn’t exacerbate their discomfort.
This is what I posted last year, and it’s even more true this year with the horrific attacks on our trans and gender-non-conforming kids & community:
I’m in the midwest and work with adolescent students, at a public school that queer and trans students flock to for a greater feeling of safety. As everyone’s probably aware, LGBTQ+ students have unfortunately been under attack, and our trans students are especially feeling it. One way to help is to help them deal with bodily functions that can distract from their learning. I made a wishlist to help stock our school with gender neutral period underwear so our students’ discomfort is minimized and they can focus better on their studies and friendships.
————————————————
Wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/9A2PTRSDU2P8
————————————————
More info:
Menstruation at school can be anxiety producing for any student, but exponentially so for our trans boys, non-binary, and genderqueer students, especially for those whose families don’t have the ability to purchase gender neutral products to minimize distress. These gender neutral boxer-style period underwear allow our struggling students to focus on their studies instead of anxiety about how to contain the blood in a way that doesn’t cause them dysphoria, as internal blood catching products and bulky pads often do. They will be available to all menstruating students in need of external blood-catching who request them, and particularly will help our LGBTQ+ students (we have had students specifically ask for something like this). We went through our supply that James Garfield miracle makers helped with last winter, and currently only have tampons and pads available. I would love to restock for the improved mental health of these great kids!
Thank you!
Laura in St Paul
(Love this. Sent 5 sets of period pants. ~ Jenny)
I’m sorry if I missed any comments to me, I only have able to get internet when I go to my neighbor.

I’m #103. I see two sets of llamas sent for my daughter thank you both. We’ll share the extras with some other kiddos. Thank you both so kindly, and Jenny for this gentle place in the storm. Stuffies really are a comfort for a grieving heart to hug. Big hugs to all!
You guys are the best. It’s been 24 hours so if anyone wants to ask for kids coats, etc you can do that in the comments now. I think we’ve given out toys, coats and stuffed animals to over 300 kids today and I so adore you all. I’m having an allergy-flare up and my eyes are made of broken glass (how is there pollen in December?) so I’m going to take a benadryl and get some sleep but tomorrow I’ll look at my budget and see if I can fill some more then. So much love to you all!
When this opens up for other asks, how does that work?
(You just make a wishlist and share it here if you have needs. Ideally toys, coats, shoes, pjs, socks, sensory things, etc, but it’s really open for anything. People will dip in and fill wishlists as they can. Generally inexpensive asks or necessities are filled more often. 🙂 ~ Jenny)

I did not include my three oldest in the plushies because they would say at 16, 15 & 13 they are too mature for stuffed animals. But they desperately need new reliable sneakers. The ones they have now are falling apart, have actual holes and they outgrow them so fast! My two oldest are already size 10 1/2! I picked a half size up for all of them so there is room to grow. I know they are pricy but they need to last. The cheap shoes fall apart so quickly on kids. If anyone can help it would be a great gift for them on Christmas. We usually get our shoes on consignment but it is hard to find cute colors in the bigger sizes.

I am submitting a special request for one of my daughter’s. I have a 13 year old daughter named Dakota who needs clothes. She is diagnosed with autism and spd. She is being bullied in school over her size and has been wearing her only hoodie 24/7 like wearing it makes her invisible. It’s falling apart and it’s been a battle to get her to give me it to wash it. We misplaced it the other morning and I almost couldn’t get her to go to school. Her father was hurt at work and we have been barely getting by and its a struggle. If someone can help her please it would mean a lot to us.
Thank you

#276 – hoodie should arrive this upcoming Saturday (13 December)
I know this is a longshot and may seem extravagant, but I am not expecting everything or anything at all. My 16 year old autistic daughter created this list and it just things for her new bedroom, since she agreed to a smaller room so some other family members could make changes. All she wants this Christmas is to make her room feel like her, so I am sharing her list in its entirety in hopes that maybe a few things can get purchased. She’s honestly my hero and I’m doing what I can for her. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2FA5VYERXBQES?ref_=wl_share
Adding the list again with some extras thrown in for my 6 year old girl. Things are extremely tight this year, more than ever, and I just want her to have a nice Christmas. Anything helps. Thank you so so much.

I know you said 4 so was just checking to see if it charged you for 4 cause it only shows 3 on my end. Also if anyone else could help with the few plushies , no obligation. I’m post #259 if anyone wants to read my story.

(That’s weird. I just checked and it says that 3 of the coats will arrive together on Friday and the fourth will arrive separately on Friday. And the pants also separately on Friday. ~ Jenny)
My name is Colette, and I’m a single mother from Minnesota. We are DV survivors, recently relocated because of safety issues, and are starting over from scratch. We cut ties with everyone we knew, have no other family, and legally changed our names for further protection. My son has been wearing the same clothing for years, only has shorts and t shirts, and is in desperate need of warm clothing. We walk everywhere, and it has been very cold and snowy here. My daughter would love a pair of pajamas, she has none. We own two blankets and two bath towels, as we were very limited with what we were able to take with us. There are also some items on the list they would love for Christmas this year, as well as some pantry stable food for our Christmas Day dinner- we are vegetarians. We moved to a very tiny, rural lakeside community that is safe, but extremely limited in resources for families like ours.Though I can pay our bills and buy basic necessities most months, I can not afford anything besides those, so even a single item from our wishlist would be appreciated, and my kids and I would be truly grateful for anything. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post. May you have the Merriest Christmas and a Wonderful New Year! https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3I147K7EG3S1D?ref_=list_d_wl_lfu_nav_1

Merry Christmas all. Single mom with three girls, managing a lot of grieving loss this holiday season. Any support helping my girls have some holiday cheer is so appreciated-these are items on their lists or stocking items, and winter gloves for two of them. Thanks for your consideration and to the amazing people blessing others!

I’m Nicole in Waltham, MA. I’ve got two grandkids: a 26 month-old toddler and a 7 month-old. 🙂 It was a tough call for the toddler between the cow (which the toddler loves – he was one for Halloween) and Bluey (who he also loves but calls both Bluey and Bingo, Bingo). My name is Molli and I’m in Portland, OR. I’m a single disabled mom, in school full time and working, and my amazing teens have been so understanding and never ask for anything. These are some of the fun thigs I know they would love, that let them express their teen selves. All the help in our community is for small kids, but this crew deserves a Christmas too! I feel sad that I can’t do more, so I am putting this hope into the universe for them. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2XW9RDSD6F5PL?ref_=wl_share

My kiddos will each have a stuffy coming their way for Christmas because of this amazing community. 🥰 I later saw that posting for other items would open up. I understand if it’s asking too much, but we really need warm coats & snow boots. I have 4 kids, but it’s just the two oldest (ages 10 & 12) that are in need because the younger ones get hand me downs. I don’t have reliable transportation so it’s hard to get to the thrift stores & churches that have winter clothing they could try on. With all that being said, my oldest girls would feel so special to receive something new and pretty. They are at that age where it matters…
I on the other hand, just want everyone to be warm this winter! Thank you so much for the opportunity to ask for help. ❤️🙏❄️

I am reposting from comment 286 because I did not include that we are in Portland OR : I know this is a longshot and may seem extravagant, but I am not expecting everything or anything at all.
Can I request books for my children? The older (teen) loves the Sarah Scribbles series and the younger (pre-teen) loves the Awkward Yeti. Their cousins got them into these and they’d love to have their own copies

We were previously #56, thank you so much for the kindness and the plushies! Four kids, three teens and an almost 9 year old (jeez how time flies) in Easton, PA!
Three of my four are autistic so this is such a blessing for us. Asking for a few basics like socks, pjs, soft bras, and underwear for those of my kids who have those items on their last legs in sensory friendly fabrics. Thankfully not everyone needs the same things all at once and any kindness that comes our way is SO APPRECIATED.

I’m Ella, I have 4 girls, and last year they received snuggly light up plushes and absolutely loved them. Thank you for this. I was #206, and I wanna start by thanking #209 profusely for the hedgie for my son, and also Jenny for doing this in general, for thinking about helping with the hedgie though she was beaten to it, for James Garfield for being awesome and inspiring…
I see that we’re allowed to expand upon the plushie thing now, so what the hell, one miracle already happened, might as well wish upon a few more stars! For context, I’ve got multiple disabilities — chronic pain and fatigue, mobility impairment, auto-immune issues, GI issues, three kinds of Arthritis that have already been degenerating for almost 40 years, all sorts of ‘fun’ even before I got into my, like, tenth year of being perimenopausal because I just HAVE to overachieve with dysfunction — my son has physical (he had his whole spine reconstructed, fused, and pinned to metal rods a few years ago), neuro (Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Seasonal Affective Disorder) and psych (CPTSD, Depressive Anxiety with Ideation) disabilities, and my husband (reluctantly realizing he is also middle-aged, has had a double hernia surgery, and can’t do EVERYTHING any more, even though he’s always been the non-disabled one), who is stuck as the only source of income working 2-3 jobs to try paying the medical bills, doing all the errands because I can’t drive or really walk and I can’t even use my bloody mobility scooter because they won’t fix the sidewalks and curb cuts, and doing a lot of the housework and such. Lemme tell ya, teaching him to cook and bake in college was one of the smartest things I did there! Eniways, it’s just us and our six special-needs rescue cats, collectively referred to as The Chaos Kitties. I’m a full-time caretaker, despite needing help with just about everything myself. From somehow making it to my son being 20 and him still adoring me even though he’s been stuck in the house in medical isolation with me for almost six years now (I ever had to homeschool him through high school because spinal surgery, a pandemic, and an IEP don’t mix), to giving an un-sedated cat a medical shave every 3 months on the dining room table, to finding my husband’s work badge for him AGAIN….yeah, that’s my gig. No family support system, no caseworker and disability program supports, no lots of things we were supposed to have, and in some contexts qualified for. They took away my son’s Disability Benefits status because he ADDED new permanent disabilities, and that means something changed, and that means *poof!* he’s magically all better! And then I spent two years fighting to get him re-approved under the adult system, and won the Appeal just in time for the gov’t shut-down, so he qualifies for aid, for SNAP, for all sorts of stuff, but he’s not actually getting it yet. As for other aid programs, our aforementioned combo of him needing medical leave plus a pandemic right in time for him to be in high school….which was also combined with us moving to a new county….meant that all the programs had their protocols in place to be dealt with through Transition Services in the public high school….except he couldn’t be there….so nothing was set up, and years later, we’re still wait-listed. Most of the local holiday charities need you to be able to drive somewhere, or need you to have a caseworker to nominate you, or need you to have a kid that’s a minor, and nevermind adult disabled kids or, like, any other reason to maybe need a little help and joy! Sooooo….ya….things are pretty fucked, and there’s little recourse for doing much about it. Except typing too much here.
So if anyone will humor my posting the list again, but this time with stuff added for household needs at large, that would be amazing. <3

Good morning everyone. I have just a few items on my list for 4 teen kids. My post was above but I am reposting. Jenny is blessing us with our tree and coats for my kids and some pants for my son. (With the exception of one in limbo and I’m waiting to make sure Jenny wasn’t charged for 4 because it only showed 3 out of 4 on the list) Thank you so much Jenny! You’re amazing for making this happen for so many of us that can’t afford to give our kids a gift! The items remaining on my list are a stuffed animal character for each of them, with the exception of my son who plays on his switch or school laptop most of the time. He loves bowling too so I added a switch sports game in there for him. And some lights and a DIY decoration kit so me and them can sit together and make the ornaments for the tree. If anyone out there can please make these few items appear under our tree It would be an absolute blessing. I explained above my situation and I can provide proof this happened. My kids dad the day before Thanksgiving went to his Biometrics appt for immigration and was detained. We have been in the process of his work Visa. He is the sole provider while I do work at UPS and Amazon part time it’s just not enough to buy them anything because of bills. Our lawyer has stated it could take months before he is either released or they deport him. I’ve been able to speak to him once since he was detained. My kids are absolutely shattered and I’m stressed to the max. So if there’s anyone out there that can please help with the few remaining items so we can have something under the tree Jenny purchased it would put a smile on their faces to know that there’s a Santa out there and he sees they are trying to get through all of this. Merry Christmas to all of you. And Thank you all so much for doing what you do! And for those parents out there just trying to make it another day, there is a light at the end of the tunnel somewhere. Just keep pushing forwards. Love and prayers to all of you!

Christina in ft worth Texas . Does anyone have extra tree decor and lights they do t need or want to get rid of. Jenny gifted us a tree but we don’t have anything to put on it. I do t know if something is wrong with my link as I know Jenny was able to purchase from it except one of the coats isn’t showing that she said was purchased. My post is originally #259. Or maybe it’s the situation I was left in. I wish I could find more work just to be able to give them something at Christmas. I’m praying they are old enough to to understand. I just didn’t want them losing their dad and their favorite holiday all in a months time. I don’t know what else to do. I just want to give up.
(It’s weird bc I see all 4 coats going to you on my end (Order # 112-1374363-9130651) but when I look at your “purchased” on the list I don’t see the fourth one purchased. It should still be coming but I went ahead and bought it again and sent it so if you get an extra one you can pass it on to someone else who might need a jacket. Regarding tree decor, when I was a kid we couldn’t always afford decorations so we’d pop popcorn and use a needle and thread to make garlands. I loved doing it with my mom. ~ Jenny)

I’m #312, and just want to thank whoever is sending the sweater for me! My son (age 20, Autistic, lifelong special interest in all things magic) still believes in Santa, but accepted that Santa would stop coming once he was 18, because the ‘rule’ in our society is that Santa comes for kids….and he’s the kind of person who, that last year he figured he could write to Santa, wrote asking Santa to bring a gift for ME for a change, because I was the one who opened our home to magic, and taught him how to be the kind of human that stays on the Nice List, and it wasn’t fair that I never got anything from Santa that wasn’t something he or his dad could do for me. (Damn, I think I’m really doing this mom thing decently.) So yeah, my list (once we expanded past stuffies) had one practical gift and one stocking stuffer for me, two business-supporting gifts for his dad, some stuff for the rescue kitties, some household accessibility stuff, and mostly gifts and stocking stuffers for him (largely practical, one fun), and I don’t even feel totally selfish in being thrilled that the one thing plucked off the list after his hedgie plush is a sweater for me. ‘Cuz 1) OMG we’re in central NY and I am so freaking cold sometimes the cats get startled when I pet them, and 2) My son will actually be as happy as I am that there’s something under the tree for me, too. So….I dunno who did it, but thank you again, really! <3

Hi everyone making James Garfield holiday magic happen,
I’m late to this but I’m hoping there’s still some magic left. I’m a single parent in Wisconsin and working a full time job and a part time job to make ends meet with the basic necessities, and still visit the food shelf to keep our family fed, There’s nothing left over after necessary bills. I’ve got two kind-hearted nerdy middle school boys who struggle socially, who are really into D&D (Dungeons and Dragons), and last winter you helped them get a D&D club going at school. It has been such a success for their mental health and they have a small but mighty friend group now! It’s even made them less anxious to leave home in the mornings, so it’s been such a blessing for them academically as well.
They want anything D&D related for Christmas, especially the Planescape books to help the older of the two lead the group and run the game. If anyone is able to send some of the books their way for the holidays, I’d love to see a smile on their faces on Christmas morning. They added some extras too that would make the game-creating and game-running easier for the older one to DM (and fun nerdy socks, because…teens?). This is their list with their D&D requests. Thank you for any help!

(I also have a nerdy kind-hearted kid who was saved by D&D. I sent the planescape books to you. ~ Jenny)
Thank you to whoever got my son the socks from the list from #312! His toes also thank you! And just….thanks in general to everyone here, esp Jenny and James Garfield, for being the kind of people who come together to spread a little more hope and joy, on a year when wishlists need to have socks on them, and that kind of wish being granted is exciting!
#291 here – thank you for whoever purchased the stuffies for my grandkids! I hope everyone on here has a happy and safe holiday season. May the joy you give come back to you tenfold.
333 Here, a big thank you to whoever purchased the stocking stuffers!! Thank you thank you!
Thank you to everyone who helped with #314, this has been the most uplifting thing so see while I’ve been stuck in the hospital. My some of my grandsons needed coats so badly and I felt so bad that I couldn’t replace the ones they have outgrown since I haven’t been able to work since I got diagnosed with cancer this summer. My son has absorbed all of my expenses since then as well so that takes so much off his plate this winter to have gifts and coats covered 💕💕💕 which is honestly just a gift for me to see them happy and my son less stressed 💕💕💕

I’m also including a bigger ask….my five year old is autistic and we need a crash pad to help keep him safe if anyone feels so led

I’m making a request for myself, so if this is not allowed, please delete. I spent Thanksgiving in the hospital with a broken hip. I’m in rehab now, very possibly through Christmas. If you are so led, I’d love some poetry to get me through. I made a list, so there’s plenty of choices. Sending love to all.

#325 1 pair headed your way on Wednesday. If your kid-o’s are anything like the ones I work with, they don’t always have easy access to washing machines so I threw in some sink laundry sheets as well. Thanks for all your support.
I could use a little help to show my granddaughter that Santa truly does live in your heart. I was widowed last year, and though my life has been blessed by so many in my tribe, every single day is a struggle to stay here and not go find him. I work 2 jobs, 60 hours a week, am crazy busy, and I don’t get enough time with this grandchild who fills my life with so much joy that I know that I need to stick around – for her.

#370 – It’s on the way to you in honor of my Grandma, who I still miss after all these years <3
Should arrive by the 16th. Merry Christmas to you both!
Jenny, you are one cool weird glorious angel. May the universe cradle you in its cosmic clouds 😘.
#206 (plushie) and #312 (needs) here — wanting to let #209 know that the plushie got here today! It’s so cute! I have it hidden away until I can grab wrapping paper and get it under the tree. Whee! Thank you again.. <3
#367 – The last two items should arrive tomorrow! Merry Christmas to you! 🙂
#367 here commenting to say thank you so so very much!
I hope I’m not too late! Single mom of three here, and my kids would love a stuffy under the tree! My two oldest are on the spectrum (high functioning), so I know the weighted cow would bring them comfort, and help with some of their moooo’ds. Sorry, I couldn’t resist! 😅
My youngest would go wild for the cute little hedgehog. Things have been difficult for awhile now, so they know not to expect much. They all really love to read though (I got so lucky!), and curling up with a good book and a soft plushy would be a truly magical Christmas for them.
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/IHEO8CPO6LQN?ref_=wl_share
#379 – looks like 1 of your books is a pre-order that will arrive after Christmas – do you want to add something else that arrives in time?
I ordered the remaining gifts (and a few extra gift cards so all 3 could have one) and they should arrive Friday except the 2 cows arriving 12/22-12/23
#370 here, thanking you, #374! Your grandma is with you, all around you! She’s part of you. Merry Christmas!
#379 – looks like you still have “keep purchased items on your list” checked on your wishlist settings as all items are still showing up.
I guess things on my list for my girls went off of the price so I deleted them and made sure everything was things they can share for their room if there is magic left. Thank you angels <3

#384 Just a heads up I didn’t purchase the pants but seen on your list that you marked xxl on both purchased pants.
#386 it’s a glitch because I normally wear that size. I am hoping it’s fixed 😔
#379 here! Oh wow, I am just speechless! You are an Angel, Carrie. Thank you for so much for blessing my children with stuffies and books!! The gift cards to the bookstore are beyond generous; I can already envision how crazy they will go in there (like kids in a candy store!) Usually we make library trips, and on real special days only buy one new book. So I can’t tell you how much this will mean to them. Also, I did not realize one of the books arrives after the holiday! Thank you for catching that, I added another. I think I fixed the list too. Many MANY thanks again and I am wishing you & yours a very Merry Christmas!! 🥰
385, I was able to get the hedgie (arrives Dec. 13) and the squish (Dec. 14). Hope someone can grab the cow for you! Happiest holidays to you and yours!
Is there any chance that someone might be able to help with a warm gloves, socks, and boots? We are really struggling hard this year and live where it’s so very cold.
I have one child of my own, a high needs very active 13 year old autistic son who hit his growth spurt last year and is basically adult size but still growing somehow?! His snowsuit from last year will still work for this year since it can extend the arms and legs, so he just needs gloves and boots and warm socks.
I have my sister’s preteens too while she’s in treatment and they have coats but don’t have boots or gloves so I put on their sizes too and some socks.
This is all I could ever want for the holidays, for my child and my nieces to be able to go play outside and be warm and safe from frostbite and I am humbling thanking anyone who can help me make this possible. I’m ashamed as a mom to not be able to provide this for him myself, but I’m swallowing my pride and hoping there might be someone who can help. Thank you Jenny and thank you James Garfield angels and everyone who is reading this.

#390 – hugs to you! Never be ashamed for asking for help. We all need a little help sometimes. Parenting is hard enough without the extra burden of feeling bad for getting help. As a parent of a pre teen, I can only imagine you have your hands extra full with a teen and 2 pre teens at home. Hopefully these boots, gloves and socks help alleviate some of your stress so you can enjoy the holidays with your family.
Everything but the men’s boots should arrive Weds 12/17 and the remaining boots should arrive by 12/22.
# 315 and Jenny, thank you so very, very much for providing Christmas for my family this year when I am unable to do so myself. To have an online environment filled with such compassion, kindness, touches of humor, and a place for myself and others to post our holiday needs free from cruelty and shame, has been an amazing experience. I am beyond grateful to you both. I hope your Christmas and New Year are as bright and beautiful as you are- Colette
#391 – Oh my goodness, thank you so much, Carrie! That is absolutely amazing and a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. ~Jessica
#383 – Palm tree stuff is and astronaut projector are on their way. Merry merry to you and your family. ~Sandy
#385 – The cow should arrive between Dec 20 and 24, just in time! Merry Christmas to you! 🙂

Hello again 🙂 Michelle from Illinois. Thank you for the stuffies for the children in my family. Having them under the tree on Christmas morning will make them all smile.
I have added a few extra things to our James Garfield list. Mostly books, book store gc, and stocking stuffer items, as they all LOVE to read more than enjoy new toys. There are a few essentials like diapers, mittens, and boots as well. Thank you in advance to anyone angel who would like to give extra to us.
Thank you again Jenny and to this community.

This might be too late, but here’s my list for my 2 girls (10 and 11) – I would be grateful for two cows (one kiddo specifically asked for microwaveable one <3 ) but did add a couple small needs/wishes. I feel guilty asking because I know there are others in worse positions but this has been a rough year for our family and my girls are so thoughtful and understanding that we can’t splurge on non-necessities like some of their friends and their own family members, and I feel like I’m letting them down sometimes.

I so love you guys. I’ve gone a little over my budget but I couldn’t stop bc it was so fun. Thank you to everyone.
Hello, I’m Ashley from Ohio and I’m a mom to an amazing 17 year old. 2025 has been a rough ride for our little family. Matty’s dad had several heart attacks in August and ,amazingly, despite some very nerve wracking close call moments he was approved for and received a heart transplant right before Thanksgiving. He is still hospitalized and unable to work. I have been picking up as much work as possible to keep our heads above water but I haven’t been able to fund Christmas for my amazing kid. Matty has somehow (mostly) held it all together and is actually finishing her first semester of college tomorrow. I put a few items in a list if anyone would be able to help I would appreciate it so much. This community is amazing and I am so happy to be a part of it. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3KQFUV2KUXSXH?ref_=wl_share
This is Christina from #155. First, thank you guys so much for the stuffies! My babies are gonna love them.
Since the floor is opened up for additional requests, I wanted to add a few winter basics for my girls to the list. If anyone has the means and the desire, we would so appreciate the help to get coats, socks, gloves, and underwear. Either way, thank you again for allowing me to give my kiddos some Christmas cheer!

The year of the very first James Garfield Christmas miracle, my son was one of those people who bought the Christmas card, and it was sent to me. I still have it, and what could be better than The Bloggess still being here to share joy of miracles, too! Thank you for passing on the love.
So grateful for the community here! As a single working mom, I’ve been on both ends of this depending of the year and it’s heart warming to see it still going. So thankful to who got some items off my list and if anyone is looking to spread more cheer here is my list for my kids with items still for the other girls left. Wishing everyone a beautiful season.

Yay the llamas just arrived! They were vacuum sealed so we chuckled at the mystery floof 😊
Since the comments are open for other things I’d like to share a list for my daughter and grandson. It’s been a long couple of years. Last year the ex attempted suicide twice, the second time he attempted to get my daughter into the car before he crashed it, I got in the middle and stopped her. She has an order of protection and when she came home, she didn’t come with much. I’m just thankful they are home and safe. I’ve made a list for her and the grandbaby of things they need/want beyond what I’m able to do. The ex has violated the order of protection multiple times and she could really use some court appropriate cloths for upcoming hearings plus she’s about to graduate college because she never gave up. She’s a runner and it helps calm her anxiety. She really wants a heated blanket. The grandbaby is an almost 3 year old & all boy! He’s funny and so so smart. He’s asked Santa for a boat after he somehow found the tricycle he originally said he wanted. He loves to read and play dress up Dr, fireman etc… I’d just love to bless them beyond my capabilities, the list is long because I’m an anxiety ridden insomniac with nothing to do when everyone’s asleep. If you made it this far thank you and Merry Christmas

Hi again, everyone. I posted way upthread earlier, but this week has been so rough and I am in the middle of finals, so I am not sure how much sense I made the first time. I wanted to try again while I can put my thoughts in order.
Thank you so much for the kindness and good words already shared. I am a single disabled mom in Portland, Oregon (Autistic, deaf, ADHD) raising four amazing teens. They have been so patient and supportive as we have had to cut corners this year. The older kids help with cooking and cleaning, the younger ones help each other, and everyone does their best to be mindful and frugal. They really are the best parts of my world.
I had set aside a tiny bit of money for the holidays so they could have a celebration that felt normal, with some of the little things their friends take for granted. But this week, when our food stamps renewed, the entire balance was stolen electronically by skimmers, and we suddenly had no food money at all. Now everything we had saved for extras is going straight to groceries, and I just want my kids to have the holiday they deserve after everything they have carried this year.
I know Christmas is not about things, but my kids already go without more than most. They are grateful and they do not ask for much. My 16 year old, Lana, made her own list for her bedroom, which is her safe sensory space as an autistic teen. The other kids mostly asked for books or clothes that fit their own style. Their wishes are small and thoughtful and very them.
We are not expecting anything at all. The kids made their own little lists, and I am simply putting them into the universe to see if there is any magic left in the air. Thank you to anyone who reads this, even if nothing comes of it.

#284 and #286 – sent a couple of things your way. Sending hugs, too!
Hello again, I shared this little coat drive list elsewhere this morning and I figured I would share it here as well since everyone here has been so wonderful.
Details:
My uncle died last year at this time. His widow has been left struggling immensely, especially as she tries to raise their combined five teenage boys. They range in ages from 13-19, and three of them have special needs that make them unable to attend regular school or to work.
My aunt is very opposed to charity. However, her boys are without winter coats that fit, and I would love to change that. Given that they are not MY children, I cannot sign them up for local coat drive programs, and affording coats for all five boys is unfortunately out of my budget with a houseful of my own kiddos.
I am not asking for money. I have chosen some of the most affordable coats I could find online and added them to a wish list. I know this year has been financially difficult for everyone, but if you have the means and would like to help me keep some kiddos warm this year, you can do so by choosing one of these coats to send our way. Thank you so much, and happy holidays.

Hello everyone
I wanted to post one last time and say thank you for those items grabbed for my girls. You are making this single mom’s season feel like anything is possible.
This morning my daughter asked me to check the local clothing pantry to find her some winter socks, underwear and a robe. I immediately thought of this as a back up because I hate to fail her when they’ve already given up so much.
There are small little things on the list and I found the cheapest robe I could. My other daughter hasn’t asked for anything since she knows I can’t make it happen.. that’s why the list has such a random variety, I just want to make them smile again.
Thank you to anyone who reads this.

#183/Amy…I’ve sent 3 of the items on your wish list. One of the 4 wouldn’t arrive until after Christmas so I didn’t order it. I’m so sorry!
I just want to say Thank You from the bottom of my heart. I cannot express the joy and relief that I have, knowing my babies will have presents to open on Christmas! Bless all of you who are angels, and may all my fellow recipients of love have a joyous holiday. Jean from NY
Brad Ruttenburg… #72 for stuffies and #399 for extras were both me, Michelle! lol
Thank you so so so much for the stuffies and update on delivery. We love our little community here and I am so happy you got to spend time around this area. I grew up closer to the South Side of Chicago, but I’m looking forward to my little family growing up in a more suburban area.
Thank you again and to everyone that has taken part of this amazing bit of Christmas spirit. You all are what makes the world continue to be good, keep it up.
Thanks to this wonderful group my kids will each have a stuffed animal and they’ve got books to share. I have one last hope – a comfy blanket robe to stay warm when I have to have the heat low to save money. Thanks for everything.

I’m happy to get a plushie, or two, for someone. But the newest comments are all random wishlists for other stuff. So, no. Post a wishlist with one of the plushies shown above, and I’m happy to oblige.
I am just hoping for one T-Rex Puppet because I was supposed to receive two (one for each of my sons to battle it out with), but only one came in. The other stuffies all arrived for my kiddos (thank you!!). So we are just missing the additional T-Rex; I’m not sure what happened, but I’ve been checking the doorstep for a delivery like a crazy person.
I was #55, waaaaay up there 😅, so thank you to anyone looking to rescue any potential sibling sadness come Christmas morning! 😬🤞 And blessings to all, so thankful for this beautiful community. 💚💚💚

No expectations ♡♡

dear JULIA post #123… stuffy has yet to make an appearance. you mentioned it was showing it would arrive next day… dec 9th. do you mind checking the status for me? nothing at close of day the 11th. THANKS A BUNCH!
I have a different kind of request. My adult child (24) was one of the lucky kids to be blessed when the Saint James Garfield Miracle started so many years ago. They are now struggling with depression, self worth, anxiety and struggling to find who/what they are in this compartmentalized, judgmental world. About 4 weeks ago it was too much for them to handle. And it breaks my heart that I didn’t know how bad it had gotten. Home and safe-ish now but I am looking for way to help them manage ways to deal with it all. Counseling suggested journaling, art/coloring, fidgets , and a few other things to relax.
This is a small list of ideas.
Jenny, if you need proof, please let me know or delete.
Thank you and Merry Christmas.

Magic Wand-Hi everyone. I’ve had a rough couple of years that I’m not getting out of. No plushies, I need some winter items for myself. Yes pathetic.
Still have a tiny balance on amazon and hoping to get enough together for a winter coat (about 80) and a scarf. (I’m trying not to look at stuff before I can afford it). I basically need digital gift cards (there are various denominations) to reload mine and buy it when the price is down. If anyone is willing to help (and believes me), please leave a comment and I’ll leave my email so you can send me the number. Not sure what else to write that this is genuine. Happy Holidays.
#436 Done! Arriving Saturday. May you and your family have the happiest of holidays! – Melissa
#440 thank you so much!!! I hope your family also has the happiest of holidays!!!
Hi there, I was wondering if someone would help me fix my mess up. I was adding things to the list and thought I selected medium on my teens pants and got XXL instead of medium. I fixed it now on the list and will donate the wrong size ones we had received
https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/2GOWXFZQ150DW?ref_=cm_sw_r_apann_ggr-subnav-share_HJBBX3DXRNNT95B8GPGW&language=en-US
442 each gift comes with a receipt and you can scan that and request a return for credit to buy the correct size. Unfortunately its an extra step but will ensure you get the correct size because your wishlist shows the size you want for both pairs of pants are an XXL. Sorry that happened but the good news is that it is an easy fix. Happy Holidays
Okay I will try that. Sorry I didn’t know that. Happy holidays to you as well
Thank you. I will look into it. Sorry I didn’t know that was an option. Thank you. Happy Holidays to you as well
My sister told me about this and encouraged me to put a list together for my teens. I am sure I am too late, but someone sent my sister shoes for her older girls and I figured it was worth a shot. I am using my sister’s account because I don’t do amazon. I have four girls and one foster daughter, ages range from 15-19. They are all obsessed with K-Pop Demon Hunters, saw it at a friend’s house and it is all they sing at home. My foster daughter is the one hold out, she loves Wicked. So I selected some hoodies and t-shirts, one for each. They all assured me they were okay with getting nothing to open on Christmas because they know we can’t afford it. So if I could surprise them that would be amazing. Thank you.

Hello to all.
After some thought I wanted to come back and humbly ask for help. My oldest child is disabled and is developmentally 6 years old. This group helped me to get a Santa gift for her and I’m beyond grateful. I didn’t expect to be back and putting my pride aside in order to ask for one more miracle.
I know she won’t understand why her brother and sisters don’t have Santa, and why she will have to share hers. My kids have been through so much and while they’re not asking for anything I just want to give them something we can all do together, as a family. I’d love to spend these cold winter nights coloring and watching he-man. Please, if there are any angels left, I am regretfully asking for help. Thank you.

#439 again. Just in case it did not make sense. I meant if anyone is interested in helping. If people buy small denomination gift cards they can send me the gift card numbers via email (that I’ll post here if someone expresses their wish to help). This way I can load them onto my account and get a decent coat. Nothing fancy. Just warm. I’ll check back tomorrow. Thank you. I’d order a plushi if I could fit inside one. A little desperate.
Hello! I have three boys 3, 9, and 13. We are currently staying with family and will be through the holidays which was unplanned, but we are without a home for now. Not ideal circumstances, but my boys have been serious troopers the last few months. Although it is Christmas they could use some essential items and so I added that to include socks for them. Thank you. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3NB6LNIXHFZMC?ref_=wl_share
#407 Merry Christmas! Three items on your list will be delivered Monday and the little cow should arrive no later than the 24th.
Late to the party! I’m in Northern Virginia. Single parent – and looking for a job. Was a federal employee who got DOGE’d – the job market is trash. Tried to stick to the list but I’ve got one autistic kiddo who really wants a replacement taco – the one she’s got is loved to shreds. :-/ We are huge fans of hello kitty in case someone wants to send something along those lines… these stuffies are the only gifts this year due to being out of work for so long. I appreciate you all. Thanks.

Hi Jenny and James Garfield Miracle Workers!
I’m hoping folks can come together to bring some cheer to a food insecure family in Virginia. Mom is worried about making it thru break – keeping kids fed. I want to see if we can help ease their burden and send some holiday cheer as well.
The DC area has been hit super hard with job loss. I know a lot of us are hurting – thanks for any thing folks here can do this holiday season.

#398 – I sent several things including the cows. Deliveries are all over the place – this Saturday, next Wednesday and the final cow maybe not until 12/23. Hope your girls enjoy!
439 & 448 hop on Amazon and create a wishlist for a coat and scarf or hat. Lots of nice coats on there and decent prices too. Once you are done come back and post it. You might get help 🙂
#449 – Wishlist fulfilled. Hopefully this helps some stress off of you so you can enjoy the holidays with your family.
Items should start arriving tomorrow through 12/18.
#451 from one 🌮 fan to another – replacement stuffie and some Hello Kitty friends are on the way and expected to arrive Monday.
This is probably unusual, but my Christmas Wish & List is for my mom. This will be her first Christmas as a widow because we lost my dad to cancer early this year in April. He was only 68 years old, and suddenly just ran out of time spending the last 5 years (since he was diagnosed) trying desperately to beat it. My mom married him when she was only 18, so that was her life partner, soulmate, all that stuff. For now she is alone, (well she has her cat thankfully) but she’s in another state, doesn’t drive, living off just social security in a senior living community. We are working on getting her moved in with me, but she’s just not ready to let go yet. Somehow staying there I think keeps her from saying goodbye. I know some days she cries so much and is so depressed that she probably thinks about going to find my dad. I know she never would, she has me, my siblings, and her grandkids to live for. But well, grief just frikken sucks. I know all of us have went through it with someone, are going through it now, or it’s coming up. Nothing we can do about it really…
My mom has always loved to read. Before cell phones, tablets, kindle… I remember she always had a stack of books on her nightstand and one propped up on her lap as she would read while enjoying her diet coke. During the holidays I know she will be reading or watching the new season of something on Netflix. She will be curled up in her bed with Moses (the cat), and my dad’s ashes in a box resting on the nightstand next to her. It all sounds so terribly dark, but she says she is OK. I would just love for something to arrive on her doorstep that let’s in a little light. I wish I could give her all this stuff, but our family has been struggling for some time too.
So as far as the list I conjured up… Well, she has a sweet tooth (her & my dad use to walk around Cannery Row when they lived in Monterey looking for the best fudge), and also loves when food is delivered. She doesn’t cook much because she has told me cooking for one is a bit of a challenge. But I think she just doesn’t have much of an appetite, or the motivation really to cook. I also recall last time I visited she downed a meal from Panda Express in record time, so I know she likes the meal delivery. 😅 Even though she can’t really afford it, she does still indulge…
Oh, and I did add two stuffies so she can give them to the grandkids when my brother and his kids visit!
Well if you got this far, I want to say that I have no expectations, I just love my mom and hope she gets through this first Christmas. Thanks so much for reading. 🤍

451 & 452 wishlists seem to be linked and shipping to the same address??? The name Oliver and Janie keep popping up through the wishes. Very confused
Jamie not Janie
#451 here. Thank you Carrie!
451 & 452 are the same person. Amazon wishlists are listed under the same account on Amazon but shipping to a different name. They deleted the wishlist attached to comment 451 after I commented about it. Be careful
Anon 458, 459, 461 – yikes! sad to see these comments. The wish list for 452 was made by Caring Neighbor because that family doesn’t use/have an Amazon account. (Others here have also noted they don’t use Amazon…)
451 deleted because the list was kindly fulfilled. Nothing suspicious there as others do this as well.
Happy holidays. Try spreading good cheer! That’s why we are all here.
I find it odd the same name was used on earlier wish lists that were shipped to the same area.. I imagine that must be a coincidence. Happy Holidays!
Hi, I am # 300. I don’t know if this will be possible, but 2 of my 4 kiddos were very kindly gifted coats from my wishlist. If anyone could possibly help with the other 2 I would be soo very grateful. I just don’t want them feeling slighted. It’s been a rough year. I’m soo very grateful for the kindness shown. Thank You

#463 By this time every year, word is out, and the scammers come out to play. Some scammers even use the same names each year. It’s good at this point to just send support to Project Night Night at this stage. Some people are genuinely confused because they look up James Garfield from a few years ago, don’t read the guidelines, and just ask for the moon because that is what they think is okay. Others are the something-for-nothing crowd. This year, requests for gifts for dogs made me laugh out loud. That’s a new one!
To 454, this is #439#448 thank you for the encouragement, I really appreciate it. I’m going to try this way first.
I didn’t want to be judged or have to explain.
The coat I looked at a couple of days ago went from 80 to 150. The moment amazon software sees interest price goes up. So now I’m looking at different ones. I hate that company. It gets very cold for several months where I live. I need long with a zipper covered by a flap so it doesn’t get drafty. (I sound like a house). It also needs to be water repellant because of snow. Selection at reasonable price point not great. I want to be able to know my gift budget then order the moment it’s within it. If I put it on wishlist too much for one person. but if people split it up I can order it right then.
And yes. Not doing well. Overwhelmed, so this gives me a little sense of control. I’m leaving my email under magic wand separately. Let me know if you’ve sent something (ie Amazon digital gift card number) so I check all inboxes.
Magic wand #439,448,467 please put magic wand in subject so I know it’s not a scam

Fingers crossed
Thank you 389 and 395! This father is very grateful!
#466 Whoa. Get into the holiday spirit. Jenny never ceases to amaze me. Despite everything she’s been through this past year, she created a safe space takes everyone into consideration and opened it up to others (it’s in the instructions). Will there be a few that do the wrong thing? Sure, but for those who need something to get them through they should not feel shame. Bad things happen. People lose homes in natural disasters. They have nothing. Do you know how much it can mean that someone cares? That parents and adults may need a little we love you too?
Thoughts and prayers don’t keep you warm. Maybe some kid lost their puppy and thought this was a way to get one? I did not see the comment you’re referring to, I’m just guessing. Always a choice not to give, without making people feel worse than they already do for asking for a little joy and light. Jenny is a guiding light in all this darkness.
Hi 268 here! I just got off of the phone with Amazon so they could tell me when to expect to receive the deliveries (that way I can make sure someone is home) and they told me the majority of the items were marked as “reserved” but not actually purchased, just placed into someone’s cart even though they are showing as purchased on my list. 🙁
Can any of the kind souls who purchased for us let me know what was purchases so thar I know what to expect?
Hi everyone. #286/ 296/ 410 here! I just wanted to pause and say thank you to those who have already shown kindness and generosity here. I’ve also seen some discussion about scammers, and while I know that can happen anywhere, I wanted to share a little perspective about the wishlists themselves.
For many kids living in poverty, the rest of the year is about getting by with hand-me-downs, clothing closets, yard sales, and free piles. Christmas is one of the only times they are allowed to wish and hope without immediately being practical. Sometimes that means shooting for the moon, not because they expect it, but because imagining it matters.
In our house, I let my kids add whatever they want to our lists, with the clear understanding that nothing is expected. The lists are really just collections of wishes. As I find myself with a little extra money, or if I win a gift card, I use them to guide future purchases. I shared the full lists here because I didn’t want to decide which wishes were more valid than others. I intentionally comment with my real name and photo, so people know we are real, but that’s not possible for everyone.
We are grateful for anything anyone feels called to do, and we truly expect nothing. I still believe most people are good, even if the bad apples sometimes get the most attention. Thank you again for all the blessings, some of my kids deepest wishes were filled and I am overjoyed for them!
268 and 471 here – I readded the items that were marked as purchased but not actually purchased to a new list. I am bummed that Amazon allows that. They said that the items are either sitting in the person’s cart unpurchased or someone marked the items as “purchasing elsewhere”. I know it’s late now and most of you angels are maxed out on purchasing, but if anyone is able to help out, anything at all is appreciated.

#434 – on their way!
Hi #470! I am #457 and I think #466 was referring to my list with the dog gift. My list was actually for my Mom who is spending her first Christmas without my dad because he passed away. The gift was actually for my Mom’s cat Moses, who she has been sleeping with and keeping real close to help with her grief. I know if she received something for him, it would brighten her day. It’s kind of interesting because I feel like kids can use stuffies to help with their trauma, sadness, or loneliness, and adults often have pets for that! Anyhow, #466 would know that if she read my post, but I honestly don’t blame her because my post is too long for anyone to read! (oversharer here 🙋). 😅
Anyhow, I figured more explaining might help. Merriest of Christmases to everyone on here! I know we all have a story, and I’m thankful for this place to share it and also ask for help. ❤️🎄🙏
#470 thank you for your kind words! I’m assuming it’s my comment, which I added dental treats (so expensive, but keep his teeth healthy) and a dog blanket to my family wishlist since it’s getting colder and I don’t run my heater as often. I didn’t feel like I had to prove I was worthy of a gift or share my personal story to be chosen. I only posted my wishlist after Jenny opened it up to other asks (which she clarified that anything could be posted but necessities would more likely be filled) so calling all these families scammers is wild. Either way, happy holidays to all 🎄 Also, thank you again, Jenny!
to poster #473 I am sorry that has happened to you. I wish I could help but I hope someone picks up your list. I have heard of this happening before over the years. What a horrible time to be a GRINCH. Sending love and positive healing vibes your way.
#446 – I have 2 KPDH shirts in my cart for your girls, but it’s not letting me add the Wicked shirt. Can you add another one to your list that is prime eligible?
Hi 473 here – thank you 477 for your kind words. I am not sure how some people can be so cruel, especially around the Holidays. The agent that I spoke with at Amazon customer service told me that the best way to ensure this doesn’t happen again is to create a gift registry instead of a Wishlist so that I can see order numbers.
I just did that and will paste below in case there is room for anyone else to help.
Thank you!

JULIA #123…
#122 here…
thanks again! you mentioned stuffy would arrive dec 9th… nothing still yet as of the 12th…. can you please recheck the delivery to see what it says? thanks a bunch!!!!
Hi this is #470 again@475 and 476. I didn’t want to start a debate or be unkind to one person, and I honestly don’t know who she was referring to. It’s just the old if you have nothing kind to say don’t say anything at all.
It’s a lack of empathy. Why someone picks a certain item is their choice. Gifts matter. They may contain meaning and memories and emotions that others can’t relate to. The holidays often leave out adults who as one of you said have suffered grief and trauma.
That comment made me pause because this is the one time of year that people can go beyond the necessities and ask for things that make them happy. Making them feel bad for doing so is just mean.
Happy whatever you celebrate and don’t be deterred. Awesome givers are still out there. Love to everyone.
Gonna post one more time just in case.
I’ve been in the hospital and rehab with a broken hip since the Monday before Thanksgiving. Fighting depression and hoping to salvage something out of this nightmare holiday season. Happy holidays!
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1WKF9S76NEJ92?ref_=list_d_wl_ys_list_1
#481 – well said. It’s so hard around the holidays to feel like you’ve got to admit where you’re falling short just to try and provide some happy for those who mean the most.. especially when you get lost in the shuffle.
I asked for help for my kids, as my oldest has zero awareness or understanding of hardship and struggle and I wanted to keep the magic alive. My others are able to understand but it doesn’t take away the sting of not having the holidays that we used to have. And for myself, I’d love to be able to have a big box just filled with all the coloring books (I think they’d get a kick out of the swearing one!) and markers and have these cold winter nights spent coloring together as a family – but coming here and practically begging for help is tough, especially with others being more deserving or those who demean and criticize making asking even harder.
I’ll never be able to express my appreciation enough, I can only hope to be able to repay the favor in the future and raise good, kind, well-intentioned and genuinely thoughtful humans who consider all the struggles people may be facing.
In the meanwhile, if anyone reading this would like to consider our family for the holidays, I have several coloring books on the list and would be thrilled to make the dream a reality.

#478 Katusha, this is Amy from comment #446. Thank you so much! I found another, not cropped but hope it is different enough that she will like it. You are an angel.
#452 – The coat says it cannot be shipped to a wish list address so I had to remove from my cart. I was able to order the matching mittens but it says they will arrive after Christmas. I hope they get there in time.
If there is anyone still willing to help. I am#439, 448, 467 with contact in 468.
A little explanation. With certain clothes (and it’s why I don’t use Amazon anymore) The item took a month to ship, then another month then was lost during delivery.
I’m in a place where the owner refuses to make repairs (heating!) and other issues. If things go well. I might move. I can change shipping address before it ships but not after. If this happens and there are delays I can change to a coat that comes faster if I have order and tracking number. They just changed shipping from 25th to Jan 9. 🙁
Instructions
1. The gift card must be amazon digital not physical
2. Email me the card
3. I load mine (it doesn’t expire so if things go snafu again. I can keep track and refund for another coat)
If I do a wishlist I can’t track it and with my luck the scarf will end up in the Sahara, the coat in the tropics.
Tired. Need coat.
#446 Amy – one shirt worked! All three shirts should be delivered on 12/18 for your girls. Hugs to you all!
Hi, I’m #371. I’m reposting my link again because I’m not sure if it worked the first time. Thank you again!

Hi, from Texas. Thanks so much! https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2XB26MUG6CLNY?ref_=list_d_wl_lfu_nav_6
427, your T-Rex is on the way and will be there Sunday I think, so I think that completes your list!
413, I got one of the coats and it should be there Wednesday. Hopefully others can help with the other coats!
#485 – thank you! And thanks for letting me know about the coat. It gives the option of other sellers – Amazon is listed so that should do the trick. But they won’t let me add it with them as the default. Thanks for trying.
We received the stuffies which are so welcomed and we are so thankful for them. I cried when I got the boxes. The kids are going to be so surprised! Since it was opened to other things, if anyone would like to get a book for each kid, that would be the ultimate. We are big readers in our house, the library is visited at least three times a week. But we don’t have a lot of books we own. It would be so special to have a book for each. Everyone on here is so incredible!

Hello! I’m michelle from Kentucky. I saw the weighted cow wouldn’t ship in time but the other animals are available in time. My kiddos would love to have the little warming stuffed animals. The others are the same price so I added them. I hope its ok!

Hi #493! It’s #299. My kids and I also received a James Garfield Miracle! I’m a library assistant and love that you have instilled reading in your children. I made a sale on Poshmark and was able to cover one book. Miss Quinces is a hit in our household! Hoping the other books can be fulfilled. Merry Christmas 🎁
Hoping I’m not too late! I just heard about this today at a kids playdate. I chose weighted plushies for each kid – 2 are on Jenny’s list and 1 is a capybara (it’s the same price) because it’s my 8yo’s favorite animal.
I also added a cookbook for my 18yo niece who lives with us. Gilmore Girls is her favorite show and she’s taken an interest in cooking lately.
Thank you so much if there’s anyone still out there!

I know it may be too late for any additional help. I got called into work and never got to circle back. My list is for my 1 year old, 11 year old and 12 year old. It’s got a few nerdy Warhammer things for my 12 year old who has discovered the game via after school club and would love to be able to properly play beyond some Lego minifig stand ins. It’s got art stuff for my daughter who always carries a sketchbook with her. Then a few inexpensive baby toys for my 1 year old. Any help at all is appreciated.

Hi. We live in Hope, Arkansas, and have six kids (plus one little newborn across the street we’d like to share a gift to with a young single mother so seven on the list) and took in my aging father in law, so being down to one income for 9 people is a real strain this year.
Thank you for sharing the love this Christmas.
I added the Bingo that goes with Bluey (so there is no fighting) and different cow from the same link that is prime because the Jersey cow isn’t prime anymore. If those are left behind I’ll come back tomorrow and see if there’s some new studies. Thank you again.
Here’s our list:

457/475 I sent a few things off your list. Hope your mom’s year (and yours) picks up from here on.
497 sent something for each child, should be there by Weds/Thurs
#493 – the rest of your books are on the way from a house of avid readers to yours. Should arrive Monday.
Hello, I am so sorry to pop in again, but every coat on the wishlist I made to help my cousins has been purchased but one and I desperately want to give them warm clothes this winter, so if anyone can swing the $25 for that last coat, I would be so incredibly grateful!

Single mom currently missing a lot of work going through chemo. I have 6 kids ages 12-2 that I am trying to give a good Christmas to. Currently living paycheck to paycheck with not much extra due to missing lots of work.
Someone previously marked my items as “buying somewhere else” so they never actually got purchased, only “reserved”, so praying someone can help.
https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/1AIELWU2ZY6LX?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_ggr-subnav-share_NYR6HXBSCNVFF79G5K3A
#502 – I’ve got you covered! Should arrive next Weds, Dec 17th. Merry Christmas!
From #457 to #499: THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! Truly. I thought my post was long lost & buried, but when I read your message just now, I was filled with so much gratitude. I know my mom will be too, I really can’t thank you enough for thinking of her! (and sweet Moses). I am praying she will be living with us soon, and next Christmas she will be surrounded by all her family and all the grandkids, and with that all the joy.
For anyone else reading, it looks like there is just one weighted cow left in stock (I always wonder if that’s real, or just Amazon’s way of creating panic 😅). If you feel like scrolling aaaall the way up, I was #457. My brother’s kids will be visiting my mom this month (one is on the spectrum so the weighted cow is perfect), and would love a plushy to hold. Here’s the list if you don’t feel like scrolling: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1LTVSX9HLS76O?ref_=wl_share
With all that being said – to say I am thankful for this amazing community doesn’t feel like enough, but it’s all I can keep saying. Thank you again so much #499. Your kindness and generosity brought tears to my eyes. My heart is full. ❤️🙏🎄🥹
From 261 – Laura F
THANK YOU for helping our school have some neutral-style period underwear. I appreciate you all so much for your support in helping our kids. Thank you to all of you from my whole heart. This 100% makes a difference in our queer, trans, and gender diverse students’ lives.

@Laura F (261 and 506) – 1pr L and a set of bags coming your way, it says by Thursday the 18th. Thank you so much for helping the kids, especially the queer kids. We need more folx like you around! xoxox
#122! My apologies I was offline all week. I just this morning got a notification that the capybara is now out of stock!!! Is there something else your kiddo would enjoy?
Hi, I have been soo incredibly gifted. 3 or the 4 coats have been ordered. Thank You soo much.
Still holding out hoping that the 1 remaining coat for the 1 year old might be purchased. Not greedy, just honestly can’t do it myself and I pray all the kiddos can be warm through winter. Thank You all soo very much.

#123 JULIA!
hello!!! good to hear from you…. amazon never shipped it then when you purchased?
#122, no apparently not. I got the message “Due to a lack of availability, we’ve canceled your order” at 4 am today. :/
For anyone who feels called out in comments, don’t. I doubt it’s personal at all. A lot of folks have been around for a while and have seen requests spiral out of control. Once, I was STOKED to get to fill a wish list for a kid and discovered the person added $300 more stuff. We jaded.
If your list got deleted or messed up, do another one. People are more likely to help if you have chosen the stuffies at the top of this page and things like hats, coats, gloves, pajamas that kids need. More than that, and it’s way less likely to even get looked at. The kids at the top of the post are getting a single stuffy, after all.
If your items haven’t arrived and are in someone’s shopping cart, chances are GOOD that the stuffies are still coming, the person just either thought they finished buying, got distracted before hitting “complete purchase,” (raises hand, d’oh! Look! Shiny!) or will be finishing later. It’s a speed game. Buyers snooze, buyers lose! Someone may want to buy SOMETHING, so they’re holding onto it in their cart until payday, or until they can fill a couple of lists at once. There’s still plenty of time!
If your list hasn’t been touched, take a look at what’s ON it. Too much? Easy fix!
If you’re still in need of things, be sure to check churches and charities in this area. There are a LOT of programs to provide coats to people of all ages. Even schools sometimes have coat drives.
And Christmas doesn’t have to be huge. The experience matters more than the stuff, speaking as someone who grew up broke. We played games, made hot chocolate, watched movies, played charades that became family lore FOREVER. We did a craft one time with macaroni and toilet paper tubes. Even at the age of 4, I was, like, “WTF, Mom?!” But it was fun! The time together was what we remembered, not the physical presents.
We’re in it together, ya’ll! Happy Holidays and much love!
#122 I found a cute capybara wearing a backpack that says it would be there tomorrow. Would that be something your kiddo would enjoy?
#123 THANKS!!!
crazy huh! i will be back in touch later this evening here Julia and we will give it another go! 🙂
appreciate it! stay tuned!
This is #486 and I’m speaking up. Dear, dear Jenny if you read this, this is not directed at you. I know you get it. You are such an incredible person, my admiration for you has no limit.if such a thing exists you deserve every success.
It’s a general comment at society and how we treat others. This is my POV based on my experience.
Something horrid happened to me that I do not want to disclose. When something happens and the right help isn’t there quickly, the rest is like an avalanche. It goes from bad to worse until the person one was is no longer there. I used to help and volunteer. Put things in bags for the needy and stopped. Countless toy drives for kids asking for new toys. (Yes important), but what about the adults? Especially the adults who had and knew better times? I couldn’t relate, but I had enough empathy to know that it must be tough.
If it can happen to me it can happen to anyone. I got referred to countless organizations and charities, always the same used clothing and donated hygiene products. The good stuff picked over by staff to sell in various stores or keep for themselves. Why are they not asking for new clothes? When I asked for a few days worth of food to tie me over; I was offered food that I can’t eat. “Be grateful you’re getting something” I was told. I left.
Every experience an exercise in humiliation, loss of dignity, people thinking that I need to be grateful and grovel and be dehumanized for a system that I paid into. Giving doesn’t mean treating people like lesser than. If poverty was wonderful there would be no charities.
I thought maybe going this route would work. EXCLUDED.Again.Going through an emotional Rollercoaster. triggering my ptsd for nothing. Crying because I’ve been asking for a wintercoat and can’t get 3 people to give 30 for one. No one owes me anything and I owe no one an explanation. But comments like 512 and I’m not putting myself through this. I would have loved something new. At least one package, but the mental health destruction is too high a price to pay. I’d rather starve and freeze to death.
Keeping my pride and dignity this year. Happy Holidays.
P.S. True or not, I am glad Moses the cat got a blanket. It’s a lovely holiday story.
Happy Holidays, Jenny wish you and yours great health.
#512 – I hope I wasn’t the one who jaded you. My kids do have access to my wishlist and I told them they could add items, and with 4 kids it adds up really fast! Gifting should be a blessing for both parties. If you don’t feel good about it, don’t do it, but it’s really easy for people who are struggling to easily feel called out or shamed because it happens to us every day. As comment 515 says, the help is often not what we need. I could totally run around town and collect free toys for my teens who don’t need toys, that would clutter up our home and show them that we get things for the sake of getting things. Instead, I let them pick what they want and if resonates with someone, AWESOME! If not, we will work on the list as we are able ourselves!
Let’s all remember that we don’t know what is going on with someone else and the best thing we can do is to trust our own gut and do what feels right to us, especially at this time of year! Our list has been pinged a lot and a few things have arrived. Maybe the rest will, maybe not. I am just thankful the kids will have some of the specific things that matter to them.

#515 – I just want you to know that I see you and I feel everything you are saying. I wrote a post on social media about this recently when my food stamps were stolen. I will not post it all here, but here were a couple of things that struck me:
“The part that keeps echoing in my mind is not only the financial loss. It is what this reveals about the safety net that people like me are told to trust.
What this makes clear is that even the smallest help can be taken away without warning and without repair.
The emotion that comes up is heavy. Not a dramatic kind of fear. More like a quiet understanding that the systems meant to keep people from falling are not built to hold our weight. It feels like grief for stability that was never fully real. It feels like learning, once again, that families like mine are expected to survive on support that can vanish without warning”.
I share this so you know you are not alone and I believe people will take notice and come together. Hang in there.
#515 – I just emailed you.
I took the #512 advice and looked at my kids list. I removed anything over 30$ and saw that some things had increased significantly in price since I added them to the list too and took those off as well.

#515 here. Molli, sweetie thank you for the kind words. Even if someone comes through delivery is not until January. I appreciate that you’re reaching out, but cannot deal with more disappointment today. Please understand. Big hugs and best to your family.
@509 – the coat should be there by Wednesday
Boosting a list from above. A gift for a 12yo is still needed as well as a winter coat and some snacks. Would love to see each kid get a gift they really want.
Winter break is really hard for families – especially those receiving free or reduced lunch. Food sent from school does not last two weeks and doesn’t feed everyone. Food banks took a hard hit over the last few weeks and can’t keep up with demand – and also don’t provide much choice. Many have limits in terms of number of times a family can access and some families hit that trying to get thru October.
Really appreciate commenters 472 and 481 – this is the one time of year I’d love to see all kids indulged a bit – beyond essentials and something just for them. Thank you for your kind words in this thread.
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1B103QVQWU3BO?ref_=wl_share
This is 470 and 481 I don’t want to be misinterpreted. There was someone who asked for a small gift for a pet, but the comment from someone was encompassing more. My comments were to include adults as well for whom it’s hard.
I think that maybe giving people a chance who have not received anything yet is another option.
#515 again to Molli Taylor. I wanted to calm down before I respond. I agree with what you’re saying. I overworked so it would never happen to me. My situation is a little different. I needed a few months to tie me over until I could get things sorted. I was sent to organizations that had nothing to do with my situation. Wasted emotional energy and time. Worst was the unbelievable condescension and insults, when they didn’t even give me anything. Coming to this gifting event in what I consider a safe community and reading the same prejudicial attitude in 512 especially the last two paragraphs. What on earth allows 512 to decide what keeps a person going or makes a person happy. Donated coats at churches? Giving instructions on what this season is about? Why don’t we go back to the good old UK boxing days were servants got food from their masters? 512 made a generalized comment to everyone. I have to read all the comments in case someone decided to help. I don’t care if other people are ordering too much. Not my problem. As someone said, don’t buy it for them. If she/he grew up broke she/he should know better. Thank you Molli. I’m done.

here we go! hopefully this one doesnt vanish from stock! THANK YOU!!!

I hope everyone is having a great day. I’m post #259.
I’m praying for a miracle. My list has 4 plushies, a diy ornament kit and a thing of Christmas lights. I’m hoping there’s still some Santa’s elves around that can help atleast get a plushie each for them. My son is autistic and he won’t touch anything with fur so I wasn’t sure what to put for him. I have nothing to put under the tree for them. Thankfully Jenny sent us a tree ( which I meant to ask if you can send the day it should be here @ Jenny) and coats for my kids as I gave them to them as soon as they got here cause it’s been cold in the mornings and they didn’t have winter coats. I’m not sure what to put on the list for my son due to his sensory issues and not liking furry animals or plushes. I’m not worried about the lights and ornaments but if someone could please help with the 4 plushies I have for my girls it would help so much. Thank you Jenny for helping to keep them warm and to have a tree. Please let me know if there’s a date listed for when it will be here.
Thank you

Hey 261 and 506. I am the very scared parent of a trans young adult in Texas. I’ve sent a size large and set of bags. They should be delivered on Friday. I would 100% contribute throughout the year if you kept an ongoing wish list. Not sure how to do that.
#122! Capybara 2.0 says it will be delivered Thursday. Fingers crossed!

2 kiddos, baby boy and little girl, Brainerd, MN ❤️
I don’t think anyone was shaming folks for having big wish lists. Definitely didn’t read most of the comments that way. More like trying to make sure all your kids get something. I think it’s a difference in culture? In this one, the goal is to get one plush and some necessities for as many kids as possible. It’s not better or worse than choosing Angel Tree or similar thing, just different.
A lot of senders have the budget for one gift, and if they can get ONE child on the list taken care of, and someone else gets the next on the list, etc, each kid gets something. Lists with a bunch of things per kid may work out to one kid getting a couple of things, and the rest getting nothing. So people look for lists that are organized with one thing per child. I hope that makes sense. I haven’t finished my coffee.
There’s no shame in having a big list *at all*. But if you give choices of items for each kid, we’ll eff it up every time. We want all the kids to get a present!
It’s hard to read tone in a text-only post, but I always assume people’s best intentions.
#123 JULIA!
2.0 seems to be from the same “company” so maybe we should try to cross our toes too! 🙂
THANK YOU! you are a true GEM! Merry Christmas!
Hello this year has been rough, I havnt worked in 3 weeks and wish for my kids to get something from there Christmas list. I have 3 kids a 15, 12 and 5 year old. I only added 1 item for each from their Christmas list. I would very much appreciate it any help I get. God bless and happy holidays!

#371 & #488 – Your wishlist is not set to your address, so we can’t send them to you. Please add the shipping address! 🙂
Post #259 and #526 from Texas here . I just wanted to say Thank you to whoever purchased the DIY ornament kit and plushies for my kids. They will be excited to see them! I have a gift for my son on my list and I’ve tried to find it cheaper. It’s a Nintendo switch Bowling game. He’s 14 and autistic and obsessed with bowling everything. See a few months back we didn’t want for anything. Their dad was here, we were both working and they had everything they needed. While in the immigration process and trying to do everything the right way they detained him at a routine meeting for biometrics. In an instant the day before Thanksgiving our entire world fell apart. That left me as a single mom and 4 kids without their dad. I’m not really sure what else to put for him because I don’t want to put something he wouldn’t use. So I’ll keep it on there and pray that maybe someone would be able to help with it. I work 2 jobs now so I’ve had no time to sit and read comments. I just wanted to I guess put my 2 cents in.
All of us here have a story. Some share theirs more than others. If you don’t want to help that person then scroll by, if you feel compelled to help because maybe you were in a similar situation once then that is a blessing. But be kind because you never know when you might be put in the same position as the person you’re putting down.
God bless everyone and thank you again Jenny and whoever the other secret Santa is.
My list is on my other post above #526 if anyone is able to help with my son’s gift. If not I understand because it’s a little on the higher side. Or if anyone would be willing to send from eBay I seen a few of the same game on there for half the price. Please let me know and I can send the link to someone
It’s 515 again. Instructions in 486. Someone encouraged me to try again. I haven’t received anything. My P.S. comment was about another person, not myself.
If anyone else knows a site for adults to get a NEW coat please let me know.
Thank you.
535, I can send you an Amazon digital card to help with the coat. I wanted to be sure this is the address to use for that: samsamson555@outlook.com
Please let me know and I hope others will chip in and you’re able to get a decent coat.
535 here. Seriously??????? Yes. I’ll let you know if I was able to load it. Hang on to the info on a piece of paper. Amazon is doing weird things this year.
Thank you!!!!!!!!
#526 If you go to usps site and sign up for informed delivery, they usually give you a couple days’ notice when a package is set to arrive. In case Jenny isn’t able to respond. Hope that helps!
535, it’s on the way. I cannot put a screenshot in the comments here, but Amazon says it should be there within an hour. Hope you’re able to get your coat and I hope next year brings you all good things. Happy holidays to you!
#535 Would you consider adding Amazon gift cards to a wish list in $10 or $25 increments, up to the amount of coat you are looking at? That might help you get your coat more quickly.
535 here to 539. Thank you again. I’ll let you know in this comment section. Goodness I hope so. Don’t want to have a breakdown over a coat ever again. Happy Holidays and a lot of gratitude.
539 to 535/541, you’re very welcome!
Did you see 540’s comment? That sounds like a good plan to put cards on a wishlist and post that link here. Good thought, Chips and Cookies!
Thanks for doing this again this year, Jenny!
Happiest of holidays to everyone here!

I am #457 (if you feel inclined to scroll up & read my story). I want to say THANK YOU to the sweet Angel that got the plushies off my mom’s list! My brother’s kids will be so happy to receive when they visit her, and she will feel really good about being able to gift them something. So thank you, thank you, thank you. Can’t say it enough. 😊
There are just a few items left on my mom’s list. The fudge is something that her & my dad use to enjoy together. They loved strolling downtown and going to this local fudge shop to indulge. I worried it would make her sad to receive, but hopefully happy nostalgic tears. 🥹 The socks are because her feet get cold at night, and they looked cozy. The book is one of Jenny’s to give her belly laughs, and she hasn’t read any of hers yet. This would be her introduction to it all. 😅 🥰 If the book doesn’t get gifted, I will send her my copy or see if she still has a Kindle account, and could get it maybe through some credits.
If nothing else is bought from her list, I am forever grateful and just feel so fortunate to have found all the kindness and love in this bright little corner of the world. 💛☀️
PS: I will figure out how to create an account and see if I can post a picture of Moses with his blanket!! 😻 He is the most loving creature – but I must warn you, he is a hairless cat so some people think they look a bit strange and how to put this nicely… not so cute. 😬😂

#534 here- that’s an amazing idea to split up with gift cards so multiple people can help out with a higher priced gift. I felt so bad seeing the person trying to get their coat delivered. It’s getting way too cold outside to be without one. So happy to see it’s coming to you! And God bless the lovely people who helped. So I also used the idea to split up the amount for the game my son with autism wants. It’s 59 so I put a gift card and the person can put the amount they want to help with on it. Once it reaches the amount needed I will delete the gift card option and game from my list. And actually the list itself as that is the last item on there besides some lights.

#535 to 540 cookies. I tried that, it worked then glitched and only gave me higher denominations. Told me to create a registry rather than wish list. That’s new.
#542 to Bee I’m cautiously optimistic. It came, but told me it’s invalid and try loading later. Hoping it has not been processed yet. Thank you. Want to load this one before I ask for the rest. (I can’t email you back can I?)
For 4 little ones in Kentucky. 3 girls and 1 boy.
(I know it’s very late but just found out about their situation and told her I’d post the list for her and give it a try.)

To Bee (539) from 535. Just updating. The card may take a few hours to process says the gift card dept. Came from Amazon, makes no sense. That’s why I asked for your email, so I don’t have to update here.
If it all works out and a few more chip in, I am getting a package after all ;). Honestly Bee, I’m so speechless I don’t know what to say. Virtual hug and happy Holidays.
535 to anyone. I’m not asking for seconds just fundraising for a new wintercoat.
Instructions:486
Amazing Bee got the Ball rolling.( 536)
Whatever amount until it covers one (some have shipping costs others don’t and the price changes everyday)
Thank you again Molli. I’ll email back.
All of you gave me a little hope back. Was in a very dark headspace the other day. Big hugs to everyone
#546. Sent and should arrive on Thursday. Hope this offers a smile to the kids.
Hello Bee (539)
From 535
Level 1 unlocked, your gift card just loaded. Thaaaank you
Level 2 waiting for a few more people
Level 3 Coat Goal pending
(Had coffee with sugar so I can yell at Amazon. A little hyper)
Hey 550! I just got online to make sure the card sent and saw that Amazon says it was redeemed. Yea!
And now I see your other comments that it showed invalid and took a minute to process. I figured it would be instantaneous but I guess not. Glad it’s all sorted now though.
I hope two or three others can chip in and you get your coat! Wish I could’ve paid for the whole thing for you. Hugs and happiest of holidays and hope for things to get better in your world! I meant it when I said this internet stranger is rooting for you. I am.
More hugs. 🙂
550 – sent a card to you to chip away towards the coat. Hope everything starts looking up for you.
544 – sent a bit on a gift card towards the game- or whatever else he’d like – for your son
From Laura 261/506:
Thank you #507 and #527 (and big hugs #527 – I know how much worry you have for your adult kid right now)!
I think the best way to allow contributions throughout the year would be a separate ongoing list, and have it set to keep all of the items on the wishlist so they don’t disappear. I could leave that open as long as there are school staff on site to accept deliveries. Keep this link handy (and feel free to share it!): https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2TOV8U66C0KF7
Thank you so much for supporting our vulnerable students and helping them feel seen and a little safer in this messy world where too many grown-ups in power right now have harmful priorities.
Post #447 here @553 Thank you so much for chipping in your amazing!! It said someone purchased but doesn’t show on the list or amount . I was gonna take it off once we had enough but it doesn’t show me. Weird that Amazon does that. The same happened with a coat Jenny got for my oldest. She went and got another and both came but it only showed as one. So I’m going to donate the other one if I see someone out in this frigid weather. I went outside tonight and my fingers about froze off. And I’m in Texas.😭 lol. I’ll keep an eye out and try to keep track of how much is sent so I can get his game and then delete the list. If by chance it goes over I will do my best to pass the blessing on. Thank you so much sweetie. If there’s anyone else who wants to chip in for his game I have a gift card listed on my list and any denominations can be put on it. There’s also the actual game itself on the list. I think today is the last day to get it in time for Christmas though. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2X0TKVEFNJ18M?ref_=wl_share
#548 – I figured it out! You can add multiple gift cards to your wish list IF you change the design of the card for each one! First one, choose the basic smile logo, add to list. Second one, choose the next design. For some reason, they stack that way as individual cards!
Hello we are from Nevada, I have 3 kids ages 15, 12, and 5, we would appreciate it very much if anyone is able to help out towards their wishlist. I only added 1 thing for each of my kids. Thank you and happy holidays!

535/550 here
First of all…
WIZARD LEVEL COAT UNLOCKED!
I’ve been sitting here staring at the screen for a few hours, words won’t come. I’m not good at thank yous and the coffee won’t kick in. When Molli encouraged me (my thought was don’t please don’t I’ve heard that so many times. Desperation made me ask, I couldnt go through it again.)
And then…a miracle? Angels? Maybe. Ill explain at a later time. I think it’s important that I do.
This is a community of good people that Jenny built, who do what they say they will. Who protect eachother support eachother. I hang on to that. A little unfocused today. Health stuff. I can’t go through all the numbers (pseudonyms would have been easier) right now. I will thank you properly later, just wanted to acknowledge and express my gratitude for making this happen. It’s a step. And right now I can only think of small steps. Thank you all and happy Holidays. I’ll ask a couple of questions in the next comment.
535/550 again.
I don’t want to fund Amawful’s divorce in Dubai after we all funded his marriage in Venice. Anyone have any tips? (Well done 556). It didn’t used to matter.
1. How to avoid sponsored brands I never heard off?
2. Can anyone recommend a long puffy type coat brand known for warmth (the ones I looked at are suddenly double)
3. How to avoid this dynamic pricing BS?
Little tip that works sometimes. Don’t be logged in while looking at items.
447/555 – 553 here. I sent $20. Sorry, I should have realized you’d need to know that. It says the card will arrive Weds.
#371/488, you still don’t have an address attached to your wishlist! Can you go back and fix it?
535, Bee here. I’m thrilled to hear you can get a coat! Yea!!! And thank you to everyone who chipped in to make this happen!
I hope this is the beginning of better days ahead for you.
Warm and happy holidays to you. 🙂
#559 – the prices jump suddenly when the original one sells out. A lot of items have predatory sellers waiting in the wings.
What is your budget? I LOVE helping people find what they need! This link has a Reebok one on sale, and lots of colors to choose from. https://www.amazon.com/Reebok-Womens-Puffer-Jacket-Lightweight/dp/B0FFK5Y53W/ref=sr_1_6?crid=3PD8XH0C3NDMC&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.mIjPBvp7yj4mDEO-ACfLkvfvx0tpngnjUI5ddDhErDzTJKFyAemBmMcbxbeDhstr4jvg37tz3rfx60EF-v1x-k1oi89z_3S9oxGC-JTOV53Ce4Sb5_OolApJOKN0qWYTsrIV26xI5bdPfsoF4QXG38ye04G7tFvih_j9PIvsUKMGYMT9lAq5oSjWJGEKF8tYjd2Xu7xcYvBL2Sp5k36Nc6yo4bESdI7w1BphpRTza1mXmASHJbyK9qFTM8clwY8OVZBhEXOEGpkzHLDXDg67tEtg9rXrnMP8sTnZSiEYZSc.8hp0F7O1KRsbmgKQFOZrO9xTXzRxYjkXU83pT8b9zfk&dib_tag=se&keywords=puffy%2Bjacket%2Bwomen&qid=1765820831&sprefix=puffy%2Bjacket%2B%2Caps%2C398&sr=8-6&th=1&psc=1
To avoid the predatory ones, filter your search by only Prime options. Prime items stay steady. Also, get the Honey app to see how much prices have changed. This one shows a significant drop. Sometimes I’ll look at an item and see that it is, like, twice the normal price. Any app that does price comparisons can work, but this is the one I use.
Stay warm!
Hello, CandC (535 here)
thank you for the info. Quick note. Eventhough I don’t have Prime?
I’m dealing with 32, 14F not unusual, so Reebok would be a waste of money. Yup that cold. Puffer was an idea when the other one went up. (Grrr)
It must be water repellant, hoodie, longish, zipper covered by flap, real down blends are the best but not in my budget.
Hence my questions for any tips.
To CandC
If you really love bargain hunting, I appreciate it. Warmth before style. If I put search terms in I can’t get past the sponsored items. Anyone?
Very rare that they go on a major sale half price sale but sometimes Patagonia/North Face. Anything with thinsulate. XL usually.
565: Would any of these work? (don’t know what budget you’re working with.)

Thank you James Garfield! We got two of the food items and the heatable puppies. We will keep an eye out for mittens.
Still holding out hope for a warm jacket – we have an arctic blast going on right now. (Provided options for smaller gift cards like another poster). And hoping for a gift for 12. Fingers and toes crossed a James Garfield miracle materializes.
If anyone can send a little love this way, here’s the list. Thank you all! Happy holidays.

Hi everyone my name is Veronica,I have a 14 year old and a 3 month old. My family and I are from Anaheim California. We have had a rough year. I recently had a traumatic pregnancy and birth. I was diagnosed with preeclampsia very early in my pregnancy and was bedridden due to the swelling and uncontrollable blood pressure. I was unfortunately unable to continue working and was let go from my job due to not qualifying for FMLA. My baby was born at 32 weeks he was growth restricted due to the preeclampsia and was born at only 3.9lbs he was in the nicu for the first 3 months of his life and was just cleared to come home this week! I am now 3 months post partum and still struggling with some of the residual eclampsia related health issues. I am actively looking for work and would appreciate any help for my little family this Christmas since my paid family leave period is now over. I added some items for my daughter as well as for my little one. I did add some gift cards which I am not sure if they are allowed. They are to help me with baby items and the Starbucks one was for my daughter as a gift and the DoorDash to help with Christmas dinner since we will be spending that day at home alone just us 3. Anything would be appreciated and a blessing! Thank you and happy holidays!

To 566 (are you candc?). The first one sounds right but I’m getting 200 (way over) while EB is selling it half off including shipping. Thank you though.
566 to 569, no it’s me, Bee. 🙂 Forgot to “sign” the other post. That first EB one shows an XL in Black as 124.50 for me, 50% off list it says and would arrive on Dec. 22. I see the others in that size are either more expensive or unavailable though.
I hope you’re able to find something!
From Grampa John #246 to A Nonny Mouse and Heidi P. , all four of my gift selections arrived today together in one package AND THEY ARE ADORABLE! Thank you so very, very much for such kindness at this Christmas season.
And great big thanks to Jenny and the James Garfield Christmas and everybody involved in this generous and supportive expression of love 💕
To Bee 570. It may depend on State. That’s the EB store price and today they offer 20%off. Maybe Amaawful is adjusting. I entered your link got a different price. This info is helpful. Of course I’ll find something have to. Bee I have taken up enough of your time. You’ve been amazing. I need to order something today so it gets here sooner.
Going in. Wish me Godspeed.
One of the things I HATE about Amazon is that they sometimes have a teaser price on the home page, but when you look at the actual options, NONE of them are actually that price. They say they do it because they’re showing the lowest option they offer, but it might be somehow linked to *infant* size or something. It’s not an honest price.
This one checks your boxes. https://www.amazon.com/Outdoor-Ventures-Waterproof-Removable-Insulated/dp/B0DXPBPJLV/ref=sr_1_8?crid=28BTKFNFBAW71&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.rs9notZzNXIe9VcVM-YuxPa11lovI171HcAeb_j4hsK_ia7TZ3pYG3ayy4G78Rvvet-yR2OfqhD1f75fkpWMDrdi0Qma-39IICTXTtB_SMyw-rooGflgzv9sesUihFNRUPm8o2ZLMqAJhVhREx_Wfn8UQ7p8nGWcn9hronjwwTrSiT8ne5ouSTA4j9sKxIbi4_oQpwrVKp3BCUusG8tHq5OMWesL4LG6uE8d35i3_xPSEg14O9_GsaP5_svD-2m6-FORAE-dzQWDuwPZj937nCUx1lqTVsRG1UiUtUprQgQ.WqKZRUoHmj3MVRYyNLCjgmhVAhtWm3BGeUOgYQww788&dib_tag=se&keywords=women%27s%2Bcoat%2Blong%2Bzipper%2Bwaterproof&qid=1765844802&sprefix=women%27s%2Bcoat%2Blong%2Bzipper%2Bwaterproof%2Caps%2C218&sr=8-8&th=1&psc=1
I participated in James Garfield a few years ago, but not in awhile because my girls got older and aged out of stuffies. But we hit on hard times this year, no job for my husband and I have a lot of medical bills. I have three teenagers and one pre-teen that would love a present to open for Christmas. They are not expecting anything because they know how tight money is, unfortunately. This is late so I will understand if it gets overlooked. But thank you anyone who considers making some game/blocks/slime/k-pop loving kids day. 🙂

Veronica #568, the stuffies are on their way! Congrats on getting your preemie home for the holidays 🙂 I have two NICU graduates myself– my 2lb baby is now 6ft tall and has a Spotify account full of emo playlists about teenage angst. You’ll be surprised how normal and reassuringly boring life can be after a while!
To 573 bee? Haven’t used them for a long time. So your info does help. Found something xs only. Yours is cinched won’t fit with bulky sweater. Still looking (mens maybe)
#574, the K-Pop Demon Hunters shirt (💜) couldn’t be shipped to a registry address. I got a couple of the other things and I hope someone can fill the rest, and that you can find a good substitute for your list for Huntrix and the Saja Boys.
#567 – sent something for your 12, wouldn’t want her left out
Hello, this is #371. Thank you to #489 for letting me know my address wasn’t saving to my wish list. I recreated it, so hopefully it will work now. Thank you again!
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3SG4ZSPC13W4Q?ref_=wl_share
@Anonymous #575, Thank you so much! I love hearing about others experiences with their NICU babies and how they are now grown and thriving! I know we have a long way to go but I get a little more strength and confidence every time I hear a positive NICU outcome! Thank you for the reassurance and stuffies! Happy Holidays to you and your family!
I’m Mary and we were helped a few years back. I’m needing some help this year, if anyone is able, for my 3 kids (2 teens and one preteen). They are kind-hearted kids who don’t ask for much because they know there’s not much to spare. But they appreciate what they get and I would love to be able to get them a gift or two of something they would love. Thank you James Garfield helpers.

#371 & #579 – Chicken & Highland Cow on the way! Should be delivered Dec 17 & Dec 20. Merry Christmas!
497 – sent a couple of things, should arrive on Dec 20!
Good morning
My name is Mike and I could sure use some help. I have 3 kids and I get them for Christmas this year. I only want to do a stocking for them because their mom requested nothing big. I added some stuffed animals and small things I think they would like. I tried to be cheap and thoughtful but please let me know if I should change something.
I know this is really late so I have a feeling nobody is left.. but I need to hope, and pray for a miracle, for my kids.

#457 here! 😊 My mom wanted me to tell you all how incredibly thankful she is for this unbelievably kind and generous group. Especially during her first Christmas without my dad. She was so surprised and very grateful when her favorite things suddenly appeared on her doorstep: diet coke, trail mix and salt water taffy. She is still waiting for the stuffies for the grandkids, a Door Dash Gift card (which she will most likely use the very day it arrives! 😅), and of course the most anticipated gift: Moses’ blanket! 😻 Here’s my last call for the remaining items on her list because they will still arrive before Christmas and the Christmas fudge (her & my dad’s favorite indulgence) is having a flash deal.
Merry Christmas to all, and I hope everyone has a warm & safe holiday filled with joy and many blessings.

#371/579 1 red panda and 1 hedgehog should arrive tomorrow. Merry James Garfield Miracle/Christmas!
Hope there’s still time for this! We have a little boy and 2 preteen/teen girls. I won’t go into a sob story because this year sure has been tough for a lot of families. But we could use the help for some presents for the kids, please!

584, Mike, I sent a few items. The two speakers, 2 fuzzy balls, coaster set and heart ornament are arriving the 19th but the card game is set to arrive on the 22nd. Happy Holidays to you and yours!
581, Mary, the socks and dichoric glass should arrive on Sunday, the 21st, and the dice on Christmas Eve. Happy Holidays to you and yours!
#577, This is Chloe from #574. Thank you so very much! You are incredible to help my kids out. I think I found a KPop Demon Hunters shirt that may work now. A lot of them aren’t Prime eligible apparently.
Hi! I’m in Watkinsville, GA and have 5 kiddos. Two of my kids have autism so the weighted stuffed animals would be incredibly beneficial.
I also have a Catholic Bible on the wish list. I’m trying to reconnect with my faith, and the Great Adventure Bible was recommended to me by our parish Priest.
Thank you for making Christmas happen for my family this year.
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/25JBKAJN8IBTU?ref_=wl_share
Thank you anonymous 589, I am so grateful for your help! Our local Christmas assistance program only goes up to age 12, so I had nowhere to turn to be able to give a store bought present. They will love the socks, glass, and dice.
If anyone wanted to help get the book (Mackie), calendar (Tegan), and crafting foil (Haley), that would be so incredible. I did add a pack of chips on the list too. Thank you for helping lift spirits and bring holiday joy. ~Mary

Carrie!!! Happy holidays. The taco and HK items arrived. You are a bright spot this season. Thank you.
#577, This is Chloe from #574. Thank you so very much! You are incredible to help my kids out. There’s not much assistance for teens out there. I think I found a KPop Demon Hunters shirt that may work now. A lot of them aren’t Prime eligible apparently. Thank you for pointing that out.

Here is the wishlist for my babies. Anything can help. We are struggling so bad this year. I am in school and my husband has been laid off. Things are so expensive. Thank you all.
Single dad of 3 that just started a new job this week but due to a biweekly pay period I will not be paid in time for Christmas Day and could really use a miracle. I promise to pay it forward the next chance I get. Blessings to everyone here, may you all have a holiday filled with warmth love and peace.

Thank you to whoever blessed us with the stuffies. They haven’t arrived yet, but I’m still thankful ❤️
We moved to Hope Arkansas almost three years ago, with four biological kids and one child we became guardians of in order to help a family from our church. We were hoping to learn to homestead, but it has been slow going because we moved my FIL in with us, who is an amputee who is losing his sight, and then the unexpected blessing of a sibling to our youngest, also needing a guardian, so now we are 9!
The economy has hit a lot of us this year, and my husband is an independent author of Christian fiction. It allows flexibility for him to help his dad and help with the homeschooling, but there is just nothing left after bills and food these days.
I have seen a lot of people who are willing to help with more than just stuffies, so I did add some jammies, socks, a game for the teens and some random stuff for stocking stuffers to the list. If we get nothing else, it’s fine. God is good and I’ll still be happy the kids have something to unwrap with the stuffies, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask. Merry Christmas 🎄

Hi it’s Mike again..
I noticed several things were no longer available or wouldn’t get here in time so I removed them and added a different stuffie.
I’m still praying for a miracle. I haven’t always been the best dad but I’m trying so hard to show them that I’m consistently improving and that I listen to what they enjoy. I’d love to be able to give them each a stocking with things they like and watch a movie together, just to spark a better relationship and a magical Christmas. Here’s hoping for the James Garfield miracle..
love to you all.

I ordered a GUND Pusheen Gamer Surprise Plush Series and a TeeTurtle Hello Kitty Reversible 4″ Cupcake Scented Plushie for someone, but something went wrong with the delivery and it was returned to Amazon. I tried to reorder it but I couldn’t find the wishlist address and I can’t remember which comment it was for. If this was you, maybe you can try reposting? I’m sorry it won’t be there in time.
I hope I am not too late to get a plushy for each of my kiddos! Our household is struggling and still trying to catch up after my husband had a medical event that landed him in the hospital. He has officially returned to work but with restrictions and less hours. We have 2 children that are on the spectrum and one who suffers from severe anxiety, so I added some stocking stuffers that support their special needs. Thank you for considering our family & Happy holidays to all. 😊

#597 – All items should arrive by Saturday, Dec 20 (some on Thursday and Friday as well). Merry Christmas to you and your kids!
601 the polar bear, hedgehog and puppy should be there on Sunday
603 thank you!! I was heading off to bed now and just saw this. My kiddos will be thrilled. Bless your heart, and happy Holidays!!
@602 You have no idea how much this means to my kids and I, Thank you so much I will not forget to pay this forward. Merry Christmas you and your loved ones!
@598 Many of your requested items are on their way!
Thank you to the anonymous James Garfield elf who helped with the chips!
If anyone is able to help with the D&D book for Mackie, who loves Tales from Woodcreek and playing games; a space calendar for Tegan, who loves astronomy, cool rocks, and hiking; or crafting foil for Haley who loves creating beauty and sharing joy, that would be absolutely amazing and so very much appreciated. I checked to make sure they would all still arrive before Christmas.
Thank you for considering helping me out. It’s been a hard year, and feeling the kindness of strangers brings hope to my heart.

Hey everyone.. I am a mom looking for help with a few clothing items for 3 of my teens. If anyone could help us I would really appreciate it. At the end of the day it is to keep them warm. I don’t want anything for myself just them please. I am trying my best but we are struggling …. Can I also please request prayers if it is not too much to ask?
My children just recently lost a friend to a senseless tragedy. They are struggling with his loss. Truthfully I don’t even know what to say to them or how to help them. I am trying. Please send prayers for us if you will and for his family because they have been through so much. No one should have to lay their child to rest. Please hold your loved ones close. I wish you all a safe and Merry Christmas. Xoxo

Hi all,
I am super late to the party but it’s always worth a try. It’s been a tough year, things just keep getting harder. I have 3 boys. Ages 11, 7 and 3. I put a couple toys and winter boots for my older boys on the list. Thank you for being kind and I’m so thankful for all of you. Merry Christmas!

I know it’s late but I’m hopeful I can receive help with my children some gifts. I was diagnosed with stage 2 grade 2 breast cancer at the beginning of the year and it’s been a huge struggle for us all in many ways but I’m hoping to at least be able to provide something from Santa for them. Thank you to anyone who helps and for this amazing group of people

To 611 Christi, THANK YOU dearly! My kids will be so excited to go through their stockings Christmas morning! It means a lot to me, and will mean the world to them. Thank you so much for your kindness, and helping our family. Merry Christmas to you & your loved ones.
I knew it was probably late to post but I tried anyway. I’m not sure if it’s that, or the items, or what. I just don’t want to give up for my kids. I deleted everything off my list except one small gift for each kid and a movie to watch together. Please, and thank you, for this miracle.

After speaking with Amazon I learned that several items that showed as purchased were not actually.. and I am so heartbroken to know that some of my grandkids wouldn’t be receiving anything due to this 🙁 I added a few things back to the list in hopes someone might see this and be able to make it happen for us. They gave up so much already I just want to do what I can. I thank you for any consideration you give my family.

#621, I sent the chicken, hat, sensory toys and squish. Estimated arrival is Dec. 23. Hope you’re kicking (kicked?) cancer’s butt! Happiest of holidays to you and yours.
To Mary 607: Merry Christmas! Tegan and Haley are all set. The foil and calendar should arrive on Tuesday. 🙂 I hope that someone is able to help you out and send you Mackie’s book.
@623 thank you!! I actually just got out of surgery the other day and they got it all so I’m officially NED (no evidence of disease)!!!!!!!!!
#625, 623 here, YEA! That’s great news and I’m so glad to hear it! I don’t know if the items I sent mean each of your kids will have something or not since they weren’t labeled (which kid for which item) but I hope so.
Discharge date extended to December 24 (at least) for broken hip/replacement rehab. So there goes a nightmare of a holiday season. If you’d be willing to help brighten it, here’s my wishlist.

Well, this is crummy and super Grinchy.
Someone marked “purchased elsewhere” for three gifts and we all know there’s no way those gifts will be arriving since addresses aren’t shared.
We have one super disappointed family. In the past I have gifted to numerous families here and it’s been a joy. But I’m not able to that right now. It’s hard to come here with a wishlist, only to have this happen. Right now we have a gift for 6 and 12. The other gifts – a family gift and one for 8 and 13 were sadly marked as purchased elsewhere.
Hoping for a true James Garfield miracle.

621 here thank you again, super great news for us when we found out they got all the cancer. It’s been such a struggle but definitely worth it to be around for a long long time!
624, This is Mary from 607. Thank you for spreading joy with your generosity, Tegan and Haley are going to be so delighted on Christmas!
Is anyone possibly able to help out with Mackie’s d&d book? It would mean so much to me to have her all taken care of like her sisters, and I know she’d be very grateful. She’s my sweet, nerdy girl <3 I'd love for her book dreams to come true.

Thank you Jenny and everyone helping making James Garfield miracles!
#457, here to say THANK YOU for my mom. She has been so happy to be gifted some of her favorite items! She hasn’t received the Door Dash Gift Card however, so if someone could check tracking for her that would be helpful (#499?). I’m thinking it should have been one of the first things to arrive…
Also, I could not figure out how to add a photo to a comment, so here’s an image via the app Imgur. You might have to copy and paste it into a browser I’m not sure. Fingers crossed it works! This is sweet Moses with his new blanket. 😻

Hey everyone on 12/09 I posted a special request for my daughter Dakota. It was post 276. The wishlist was a jacket, hoodie, a pair of pants and a pair of Adidas women’s court shoes. Courtney purchased the hoodie (Thank you very much Courtney it truly means a lot). I am still trying to figure out who purchased the rest. She is going through a lot and it truly meant the world to me. As of right now everything arrived but the shoes. I assumed shipping delays probably but I reached out to Amazon tonight and they are telling me the shoes were never purchased. They were only marked as purchased. I went back on Amazon and now instead of the shoes being $28 they are double that price. I truly was waiting to come back and say thank you. I never thought id have to come back to say that someone did this on purpose.
Did someone purchase the shoes and Amazon is wrong?
Hi, I’m Mary from comment number 591. I was originally coming here to thank the person/people who purchased my family gifts.
However, Amazon has informed me that the orders for all but one of the stuffies has been canceled. I can provide screen shots of the notifications and the chat with Amazon Customer Service, if needed.
I have recreated the Amazon Wish list with stuffed animals for just the three youngest children. Two of the three youngest kids have autism.
If someone could help me keep the magic of Santa Claus and Christmas alive for another year, I would be eternally grateful.
Here is the Amazon Wish list:

#621 here again, thank you so much for the gift for myself!! Long drives and all the doctors appointments I can definitely use them!! ❤️❤️
614- on their way- one will arrive after xmas. sorry.
636- on their way, but bluey wont arrive till 12/29. and the puppets 12/24-12/27?
I helped Mary out with Tegan and Haley so they are good to go for Christmas, but I’m already over budget and can’t get the book that Mackie has on the list to finish up Mary’s list. Can anyone help? I keep checking back and hoping someone else was able to help clear it out.
Here was her post with her link:

633- Mary- D&D book on its way for 12/24 arrival.
633- Mary- D&D book on its way for 12/24 arrival.
Oh hooray! (this is 641, not Mary, although I’m sure she’ll be thrilled too) My anxiety brain will let me rest now.
Happy Solstice-eve to all! The light will return.
Greetings,
I’m Monica from St. Petersburg, Florida. I have 2 kids. My oldest son has ASD so I added the glowing light up polar bear from Jenny’s list and a small UV flashlight as he is into rock collecting and it might add another layer to his latest obsession. I just added the lowest cost one I could find under $7 with a coupon. Hope that is okay. He also likes collecting worms as pets, I don’t think Santa wishes to further encourage that interest! Sorry for making my post so late into December.
Even if nothing comes of it. Still very nice to see Jenny host these. Thank you all.

#639, thank you so much for being our Christmas angel and making my kids Christmas special. Sending you all the love and happiness.
#645, Monica, hedgie and flashlight should arrive Dec. 23. Happiest of holidays to you and yours!
#637, your link goes to an Invite to a wishlist rather than a shared list to purchase from. Try again?
Hi everyone! Reposting one last time because it looks like much of the stuff that was “purchased” on our list was not actualy purchased but probably sitting in someone’s cart. I am a single mom to 4 teens, I am disabled and work part-time while going to school full time. This month, our entire food stamps were stolen and it really just destroyed the last bits of money we had for any holiday. I am sharing the wishlist we made. It looks a little insane because I added items that will ship in time since the original items will now not ship in time, and I let the kids add their own stuff, and just don’t have the energy to make a new list, as I am completely overwhelmed and exhausted. If anyone has it in their means and their heart to grab any small things for the kids it would be so appreciated.

#657, 648 here. Tablet will arrive on Dec. 24 but the polar bear won’t make it ’til the 29th, unfortunately. Sometimes Amazon gets things there quicker, so maybe that’ll happen here. Happiest of holidays to you and yours!
621 here, the chicken arrived today thank you so much!!
Hi All some one told me to try and post here as a latch ditch effort. I’ve been going to local toy drives and trying to donate plasma and haven’t been able to come up with anything. I was wondering if I could ask for a Walmart gift card to get a couple small toys and something to make for dinner. My email is jaxsonsmama0829@gmail.com
Hey I hope yall are doing well and are ready for Christmas. I have been sick and having a difficult time and I thought my two oldest were covered for Christmas and they are not. I know this is last minute and I am simply asking for help. Someone marked items reserved on our list and I had to contact Amazon to have it corrected. They said it is fixed.
My oldest celebrated his birthday on the 15th and he is a fine young man always stepping up to help me and his siblings when needed. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and I was close to death with an a1c of 19.8 and he never left my side. He sat there watching me the whole time. My daughter just started college and is a freshman. She got a good amount of grants and we are grateful. She is asking for a desk and some pants. It will be a Christmas miracle if we can pull this off but I can’t not try.
Thank you sending love Marie

Merry Christmas to everyone and thank you to all the amazing people here ❤️🎄
I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to all!
#457 here! I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! My mom did not receive the plushies for the grandkids (although they were marked as purchased some time ago), so l’m putting them back on the list. The kids are staying with her until Sunday Jan 3rd, and would LOVE to ring in the New Year with a soft, cuddly plushy! Not to mention something to hold onto for the long car ride home. The two other items marked as purchased (possibly someone put them in their cart but forgot about them or realized they couldn’t gift – I understand that happens!) were the DoorDash Gift Card and the Assorted Fudge. I’d be lying if I said she wasn’t really looking forward to those so I put those back on as well. If you want to email her a digital DoorDash card instead you can (to avoid it going MIA. You never know, the mail carrier might get hungry too…😬) Her email is: Reesaannmyers@gmail.com
Thank you all again for everything! I hope everyone has a safe & happy New Year and many blessings so next year the ones in need can hopefully be in a position to pay it forward. 🙏❤️🎄

I would like to say a huge thank you to those that sent items for me and my sister’s older kids. Two out of three of my girls got new shoes, desperately needed. And three of my sister’s oldest got t-shirts. We’re not sure what happened to the other pair of shoes, two hoodies and pajamas that never showed up, but the ones that missed out were so happy for their siblings they didn’t seem to care. Thank you for helping make our Christmas a bit better. Everyone that helped are true angels on earth.
498 In Hope Arkansas here 👋🏻
I did get some jammies games and stocking stuffers from my 598 post, but I wanted to post because my stuffies from 498 never arrived. I wanted to tell you so you can request a refund from Amazon and/or file a claim. We’re blessed and grateful for all the angels out there granting Christmas wishes this year, you guys are amazing 😍🥰😘
To the person who purchased sensory items for my son I wanted to tell you they never arrived, two of my three kiddos got their plushies (chicken and elephant) I looked through the comments and didn’t notice my posts so I’m not sure what my number was. Amazon has said the items are reserved for purchase whatever that means
